Best Shower in Asia”
my first stay at the royal benja in bangkok, probably my seventh or eighth visit to bangkok. of the hotels i've stayed at, i'd pick royal benja over all of them (except perhaps the j.w. marriott, but that hotel is in a radically different price range). it is conveniently located, about 2 blocks off sukhumvit rd, and about 3-4 blocks from the nana bts station so getting anywhere in bangkok is a breeze. it was also perfect for me since i booked a physical at bumrungrad international hospital, about 2 blocks away. a lot of bangkok hotels have tub/showers with tiny instantaneous water heaters. royal benja has both a tub and a separate walk in shower with great water pressure and as much hot water as you can take. after a 26 hour flight (counting layovers), it was great! my only disappointment was the included breakfast. i guess i have been spoiled by the montien in pattaya. the royal benja breakfast was fine, included the usual odd assortment of eggs, pancakes, and tossed green salad, just not expansive like some others. still i got plenty to eat.
Royal Benja - value for money”
Royal Benja is very well located, walking distance from the Sky Train (Nana station), right in the middle of the shopping area. Rooms are spacious and clean, with commanding view over Bangkok Benja. Restaurant Benjamas offers excellent food, breakfasts are generous and room service menu reasonably priced. There is a good size swimming pool and gym. unfortnately a construction has started just in front of the hotel and as it progresses, it is likely to adversely affect the conditions through noise and increased traffic in the already busy street.
Royal Benja Hotel Bangkok”
Many of Bangkok's hotels are of high quality as reflected in the prices but the Benja manages to balance both high quality with reasonable room rates. The Hotel is off the main Sukhumvit strip but offers an excellent home for your holiday in exciting Bangkok. The facilties and staff are excellent and the breakfast one of the best in Bangkok. The reception staff and Bell Captain are always there to help you with any problems and you can always get a reasonably priced taxi to anywhere in the city.
Great central location with very big rooms”
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 7 years and it has been consistently good. The rooms are huge, always clean and well maintained and the location is very central. It is few minutes walk to the Skytrain. The pool is big and handy for cooling down at teh end of the day. The Royal Benja is off Sukhamvit road in a lane (soi 5), so even though it is central it is still quiet. There are a lot of bars and small restaurants on the lane and nearby, a night market sets up on the street and there is a supermarket 30 metres from the front door and several 24 hour mini marts very close by. This is a good business and tourist hotel, very big (400 rooms) so there are plenty of staff to get things done quickly. The safety deposit box room was staffed 24 hours and very secure. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for somewhere clean and cool to come back to at the end of a hot, busy day in Bangkok. The breakfast is okay, nothing fantastic but plenty of choice.
Service was great and very fast. ”
Royal Benja Hotel is an older hotel. The elevators were fast but the carpet needed to be changed as they smelled a little musty in the hallways. The Rooms were very Clean and comfortable. Very large excellent Breakfast Buffet And Room Service was very fast. Great proximity to Bumrungrad Hopital and had great nightlife right down the street. Very Friendly staff, great stay for the money and I would recomment this to other travelers. The views of Bankok were great.
Right Royal Stay”
I have stayed in many hotels in Bankok in my 15 years of doing business in that area. The Royal Benja is one of my and my colleagues favourites as it is very centrally located, has very clean and good sized rooms. There is no aesthetic extras like flowers and pot plant arrangements as what you see is what you get. I like this and suspect that the extra hype would ensure the rack rate rises. There are many facilities including massage, tailors, bars, supermarkets and restaurants in the very close area and transport by either tuck tuck, motor bike, taxi or the sky train to any other part of Bangkok is a simple and enjoyable journey. I use the swimming pool and gym regularly on all my overseas travel and I can recommend both of these on the 5th floor of the Royal Benja. The pool has a great outlook over Shukimvit road and although one end of the pool is fvery shallow that will suit those people staying with small children. Breakfast is a great variety of dishes from many cultures and all clients can have a taste of these different dishes. It is also a hotel in which you can meet and form strong friendships with many of the other travellers.
The Royal Benja Hotel”
I've stayed at the Royal Benja before when I've come to Bangkok. It's not the only hotel I've stayed at, but for the price, it's the best. The staff is always friendly, and helpful, the room service is good (extensive menu), and the rooms are well-maintained. The operator is very knowledgeable and can answer any telephone questions quickly. I can't really think of any negatives. Everything works.
Great location and just off main road.”
Royal Benja was a great hotel. Just off the main road so it was quite, however close enough to the street markets, skyrail and taxi. Royal Benja were just in the process off completing renovations to there restaurant, which opened up the morning I was leaving, however they accomodated the guest extremely well.
Consistent standard, good value Nana hotel”
The Royal Benja offers excellent accomodation at a very reasonable tarrif. For the businessman and tourists it is a welcome place to which to return at the end of the day. The bar in the small public area appears not well patronised probably because of the proliferation of dedicated drinking and entertainment areas nearby. For those who want to drink in their rooms without recourse to the minibar, there is a supermarket with a good range of liquor nearby.
spacious rooms with good views”
The royal benja is nice high rise hotel and unlike many in bangkok you have great views of the skyline. There's a supermarket just down the street and the skytrain is a five minute walk away. The area is a melting pot of humanity with indians, africans, middle easterners, and asians wandering about. If there are any drawbacks it's that the soi has a fair amount of construction going on. Doesn't affect the rooms but makes walking a bit more trouble. Also there's no wifi which is somewhat standard these days.
Excellent hotel”
Even though i was forced by medical reasons to not turn up at the benja for my last three days in bkk i was in ICU care at Pattaya Hosp and spent 3 weeks in hosp.I will certainly be be booking at the Royal Benja when i return to Bkk as i rate the hotel highly.
Royal Benja Feb”
I like the Royal Benja as it qualifies for me as a four star accomadation and the price I have paid is quite low. It is quiet and restfull I do wish that there was better bedside lamp for reading in bed. The housekeeping is superb and early each day. The bathroom is especially good with a great stall shower and good water pressure. .
Good Hotel, good position”
every time i go to bkk i stay in hotel royal benja. it is 1 minute from the bts where you can reach the main places in bkk. the rooms are big and very clean.they offer you every day 2 bottles of water free.after that beakfast you don't need to have lunch.i can not ask more.
great neighborhood for people watching”
Have always enjoyed the royal benja. It's close to most amenities of the sukhumvit area including the skytrain and bumrungrad hospital for any medical check ups. Friendly professional staff. Large buffet breakfast that's adequate. No wireless and internet charges are expensive.
Lovely hotel, friendly service”
This is my second Bangkok and I stayed at Royal Benja both times. Room was clean and adequate in size for me. Buffet breakfast had a good variety and quantity, including western food. Cost of room is very reasonable. RB is a 3.5 star but compares with some 4 star hotels. Having to pay for internet is a nuisance, but not unusual with many hotels. It is near the center of Bangkok nightlife. Ok for families if they use taxi or bus to go places, but not so pleasant if they just want to walk the nearby streets and shop at on-street vendors. Otherwise I would recommend it.
TOP MARKS”
I ALWAYS HAVE A PLEASANT STAY AT ROYAL BENJA THAT IS WHY I HAVE BEEN STAYING THERE FOR OVER SIX YEARS THREE TIMES A YEAR. TTHE STAFF ARE ALWAYS VERY FRIENDLY AND I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY WHO WANTS A FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE ON THEIR HOLIDAY.
great hotel near all amenities”
We've stayed at the Royal Benja many times and have always found it to be pleasant and accommodating. Shops, supermarkets, and restaurants are all in close proximity as is the skytrain. It is also close to Bumrungrad Hospital for any medical work. Good breakfast buffet included with the room price.
Royal Benja”
The Royal Benja is situated in Sukumvit, an area of Bangkok well serviced by train services and about 30 mins from the airport. The hotel is clean, quiet and the breakfast is good. There was very little information available for sightseeing, access to attractions and how to get to other parts of the country. Travellers need access to the internet (available down the road more cheaply than the hotel) or to bring a tourist guide such as Lonely Planet. I have stayed there twice and would do so again.
Comfortable hotel with a good location”
we stay for 3 nights there. service is on the highest level. also if you want to stay in a classical-style, clean hotel and you need to be near the shopping center royal benja - is the best choise.
Delicious breakfast”
royal benja hotel is near the nana station. it takes around 7 to 8 minutes walk from the hotel to the nana station. there are restaurants, fast food shops, supermarkets, money exchanges and department stores near the hotel. it is convenient. i like the breakfast most as it offers different kinds of delicious food, including salads, pancakes, sausages, ham, noodles, fruit...etc. the only thing that i would like to commend is the nearby streets are quite dirty.
