Great location , great spa and friendly staff.”
Royal Crown and Spa was a great hotel for our stay in Siem Reap, it was in a perfect location for shopping and restaurants just 4/5 min walk. Our room was clean and bright and a good size, the only thing I did not like about the room was the bathroom [not much privacy] glass door into toilet with mid section of door tinted, not a major problem but something people should be aware of, may not suit everyone. The spa was very cheap @10 dollars for a massage and staff were fantastic , a little soft backround music to set the mood is the only thing I would recommend. The breakfast was good , something for all tastes, and again staff were fantastic. The pool was a nice treat after a day @ Angkor, hotel has 2 pools fresh water and salt water. The use of hotel laptop in lobby was very helpful. If I was returning to Siem Reap I would stay @Royal Crown again.
The service puts most 5 star resorts to sham”
As a business traveller to many countries it is not that often that you are suprised on the upside. I am usually a hard marker on reviews but from the day we arrived at the bus station to when we left at the airport, you always felt you were their number 1 priority. A sprecial thanks to Trainee Manager Sothey (who will be an excellent asset anywhere he works) and his team. The bus ride from Phnom Pehn to Siem Reap (6 hours)on the bus line Giant Ibis was great on their new airconditioned bus with free wifi. The Royal Crown organised a pick-up by a tuk tuk whose driver who we used the entire time. Their are so many tuk tuk's in Siem Reap, it is generally a good guide to their honesty if the hotel's use them. We were greeted with a cold face washer and a drink on arrival. The deal we got through Agoda was great and the room size and their cleanliness were excellent. Nice big rooms, two pools and cocktails on the roof watching the sun go down were just a few great features of this hotel. The hotel is also close to the night markets and pub street bars and eateries. The hotel massages were also very reasonable in price. In all honesty, I really can't fault too much on our stay. I would go back with my family in a heart beat and stay there again.
A great hotel”
This hotel is the new wing of the old Royal Crown Hotel. Both new and old hotels are connected, sharing the same lobby and facilities. The new wing of this hotel was just built in 2012, and everything in the rooms were very new. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel and would stay here again if we return. We booked 4 Deluxe Pool View rooms for our group of 9. The hotel charged us an additional 10 USD a night for the extra person, but upgraded two of the 4 rooms Deluxe Double Pool View. While the original rooms were already very spacious, the upgraded rooms were twice the size of the other rooms. We opened the balcony doors for a while during the day, and many insects flew in. Would not recommend that. Breakfast was great, with an egg station, and a decent buffet spread. The hotel staff was amazing, always greeting guests along the corridors and at the counters. We were welcomed with a cold drink and a cold towel, which was great after our 6 hour bus ride from Phnom Penh. Though the check-in process was quite long, the staff took the time to introduce the hotel's facilities and surrounding sightseeing tips. The hotel also keeps the lobby air-conditioned, and stepping in out of the hot Cambodian sun was always a relief. Hotel is not more than 150 metres from the Old market, Night Market and Pub street. Even with a group of elderly, we did not have to take the tuk tuk at all during our stay in Siem Reap. With more than a 100 rooms, it operates like a proper hotel instead of a boutique hotel. At the price we paid, I would say it was a very good deal.
5 nights in Siem Reap”
The Royal Crown hotel is ideally located for easy access to Pub Street in Siem Reap, just a 5 minute walk over the canal bridge and you're there! The hotel is clean, good beds and bathroom, with a separate walk-in shower and big bath tub. "Rain forest" shower head had great volume, but the temperature of the water did vary up and down a bit. Dispenser on the shower wall had liquid soap and shampoo. Balcony access had two sets of double doors, which eliminated the typical Asian street noise. No view to speak of, but you can watch the local life go by. Staff was friendly, and the free buffet breakfast was good quality with a wide range of food. There were always a few tuktuk drivers waiting outside the hotel to arrange a tour of the temples (such as Angkhor Wat), for about $8 USD round-trip, or $15 for an all day tour of the "small loop" or "big loop" (two different sets of temples). One of the hotel pools was small, but the other pool was big enough to swim laps, with elephant statues pouring in water. We didn't try the spa, as the massages there were double the price in town, but if you want an in-room massage that would be the way to go. A Khymer-style restaurant across the street became our default go-to, with excellent dishes for about $3, great fruit smoothies, and cheap beer. ATM and convenience store is also across the street for buying big bottles of water, sunscreen, etc. A block away is several places that rent motorbikes for $8-$10 USD/day, including electric "e-bikes" which had plenty of range to tour temples all day, as well as power. We did the small loop via tuktuk, and the large loop on our own using e-bikes. Lovely quiet wooded roads, although the surface is a bit rough if you go fast. I booked 5 nights at this hotel thru Expedia for $250 USD ($50/night), and bought the 3 day temple pass for $62 USD. The Hard Rock Cafe is about a half block away and they hosted a live band on their outdoor stage every night, and there were usually s
FRIENDLY & ACCOMODATIVE STAFFS”
My recent trip to Siem Reap with my husband for 5 nights 6 days was a memorable trip indeed. I would definitely recommend my friends to book Royal Crown Hotel for simple reason, the hotel staffs are very accomodative & friendly. They allowed us to check in early (4 hours) without much hassle. And each time as we walk in & out of the hotel they will greet us with a smiley face without failure. On the last day of my trip, my husband was not well & we had to take him to clinic. The front desk staffs were quick & responsive over the situation. I extend my sincere appreciation to the front desk staffs. As for location, the hotel located strategically near to all amenities ie night market, pub street, restaurants & Mini marts.. The amenities are within walking distance only. Overall it was a pleasant stay at Royal crown Hotel! Thank you & keep up the good job. Regards, Thila Ram Malaysia
Great hotel in a highly suitable location”
It was my first time to Siem Reap and to the Royal Crown Hotel & Spa. I had chosen it - in the target category - due to the good reviews here on agoda. I was not disappointed. The hotel is located just a bit more than a five minutes' walk to the "Old Market" and the "Pub Street", which are major tourist attractions (particularly during night time) and offer plenty of restaurants, as well as shops. Due to the small distance from the noisy are, however, the hotel is still quiet. In particular, the staff is extremely friendly and supportive. Each time, a smile. I had a deluxe room in the corner, with two small balconies. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned and not completely new anymore, but they have all what you need, including separate shower and bathtub. I was surprised by the good and stable internet - better than in many locations in Thailand. The rooms have also a safe, and two pairs of slippers are provided. The room was clean, except for the area between walls around the shower and the floor. This is a critical area in many hotel rooms. Some improvement areas for the rooms: there are no paper tissues provided, and in the bathroom there is no tray for the soap. Both are small issues, but still some room for improvement. On the other hand, the hotel has two outdoor swimming pools: one with salt water and one with fresh water. This is remarkable. However, the chairs around the pool(s) are limited, and I can imagine that during peak season there might be not enough chairs. The hotel offered also "free airport pick-up". This is provided (at least in my case) by tuk tuk (i.e. the motorbikes with a carriage for passengers). Therefore, if you travel in family or with a group, you want to make sure there is enough space for passengers and luggage. The hotel has also an in-house travel desk. They were able to organize all visits to the Angkor historic places at (in my opinion) very reasonable prices. I had an excellent tour guide and definitely recommend this option
Great hotel, great location, great staff”
We were really impressed with Royal Crown Hotel and Spa. The rooms were large and clean. Modern, large bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied (although much more variety if you went earlier than later). We could either walk out our front door and catch a $1 tuk tuk ride down to the Old Market or Pub Street, or take a few minute stroll. Very handy. The cocktails around the swimming pool were great (the best we had in Siem Reap). They also do cocktails at the roof top bar at sunset. Would definitely would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone who was going there.
Very convenience to Old Market and Night Market”
The staff are very friendly and warm welcome when I arrived the hotel, location of the hotel is very near to old market and night market, swimming pool is very very nice and building is very clean if compare to other hotels in Siem Reap. Room is very specious and with very nice view of swimming pool and restaurant is very big and many choices of breakfast. The rate is reasonable with room condition, honestly room is bigger than 5 star hotel room in Cambodia. I recommend to stay at royal crown hotel and spa if you would like to go to Cambodia, its the best choice for you.
Best prawn cocktail ever”
From the time I walked in until I checked out I was made to feel at home and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located close to the river, restaurants, bars & the night markets. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, hot shower & cool aircon. The food is great and everything is good value for money. The concierge service is very helpful. The prawn salad cocktail comes out in half a pineapple and was so nice I had one the next day from room service. I have to return to Siem Reap very soon for a lot longer and will be making a beeline to The Royal Crown Hotel. Thanks for a great stay
Royal Crown Hotel is located just min walk to Hard Rock Cafe, Night Market, Central Mall and the famous Pub street. The Hotel has 2 pool for relaxing and we have a great time drinking, eating and swimming. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good too. I would strongly recommend Royal Crown Hotel to friends who going to visit Siem Reap.
Dear Happy Guest. Thank you for giving us a perfect rating and for recommending our hotel to other travelers.. We are looking forward to having you again as a guest in our hotel.
Excellent hotel that is value for money”
My stay at Royal Crown was enjoyable and I would love to stay here again if I ever come back to Siem Reap. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and greeted us each and every time they saw us. Food in the hotel was also decently nice and were provided in huge portions. The hotel was about 10 minutes walk away from Siem Reap's Pub Street and night markets, which helps if you want to get a quiet night's rest. As and when you want to grab some drinks from Pub Street, tuk tuk down to any watering hole should cost no more than USD$2 for a group of 4.
A fantastic gem in Siem Reap.”
Fantastic. Not new. This grand lady is still performing well and giving outstanding value for money.I went for four days and stayed eleven. Price great, staff informative, stunning breakfast buffet and pool area was marvelous.Well done Royal Crown. Road outside the hotel needs repairing but it's a hop, ship and jump to Pub street and Old market. Recommended and I have been in Siem reap about thirty times.
Big hotel, great swimming pool”
We stayed at the RCH for two nights after staying at budget hotels and guesthouses and this was a welcome change. The hotel is a bit More upmarket but we got a great price over agoda on the day we were checking in. Great location, 5 minute walk from Pub Street which is the shopping / bars / restaurant area and near one of the night markets. It's a bigger hotels and more touristy but definitely worth the money. The rooms are very spacious, extremely clean and the showers are amazing. Very different to e budget hotels but not extremely more expensive. The swimming pools were also great and the best feature of the hotel. The salt water one has a bar and is a little more busy but you can always find a deck chair. The fresh water pool is almost always empty and a greatplace to chill after a long day of sightseeing. Very clean as well and towels are provided. The rooftop bar is also great to hangout but is a bit more expensive then what you would find in other bars. There is also a dorm hotel right across that has a travel office if you are looking to book travel by bus to other places. The hotel has a booking desk but not sure if its not more expensive. There is also a spa but again more expensive than you will find on pub street for example but seems very clean on the other hand I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a little bit of luxury for good value. It made our stay in siem reap more enjoyable.
Lttle gem in Siem Reap”
Okay, so it's not the best hotel in Siem Reap, but it is fantastic value for money, especially for short stays. There is so much to see in Siem Reap, you don't need all the facilities that the big hotels / resorts provide. It is close to the markets and Pub Street. It does have a pool, free wi-fi in all areas, a room safe, and all the facilities necessary. It doesn't have car parking, child minding and all those extra trimmings. The staff were fantastic and helpful. I wish that we had stayed our full 4 nights here rather than moving to a resort after 1 night and saved heaps to be able to spend more on the fantastic food around the city. The beds are very firm / hard, but this seems to be normal in SE Asia. Our room had a balcony and we were entertained watching the streetscape below and trying to figure out the local road rules. Would definitely stay here again as the value for money is fantastic.
Great location, nice pool, and friendly staff”
Really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Crown Hotel & Spa. Was there for 4 nights and extremely close location to pub street and the night market in Siem Reap. Will definitely be recommending this location to my friends and family. The pool was salt water, so a nice change from chloreine.
Convenient location and great hotel”
My stay at the Royal Crown Hotel and Spa was enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located near the Old Market area, which is also close to the main restaurant street in the middle of Siem Reap. All areas are easily located near Angkor Wat Temple site.
Great Staff and Comfortable Hotel”
What this hotel lacked in upgrades it made up for with its very friendly and attentive staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. The pool is decorated nicely with umbrellas for shade. The spa was well-priced and good value. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The staff is very attentive and will schedule everything you need for sightseeing the temples or any other questions you may have. They also help get you a tuk tuk and were always very friendly. Within walking distance to Pub Street, but you need to cross through a roundabout and across a couple busy streets, so a bit difficult if you have children. Only downside - the rooftop bar, although nice with a good view, was too expensive for the prices you can get in Siem Reap. However, that was the only downside to this hotel and worth a happy hour drink to see the view a bit.
A great place in a great location”
Had a great trip to Siem Reap, staying at the Royal Crown. The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the Hard Rock Cafe and about 8 minutes to the main town area. The hotel was clean and the room was a very good size. There's a nice sized pool on the ground floor with easy access! The staff were friendly and helpful and room cleaning was thorough. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection and great coffee. There's lots to see and do in Siem Reap and it somehow retains its rustic charm of yesteryear!
We appreciate your positive feedback about our hotel. We do take pride in catering to our guests’ needs the best way we can. We are looking forward to having you again as a guest in our hotel.
Great value, location, & facilities!”
We had a great stay at this hotel- we stayed in the newer area (Hotel & spa side) and really enjoyed it. We had 4 rooms to book and requested them to be on the same level, and we were surprised to see that they noticed this request and placed us all close together. We had deluxe rooms with balcony (would go pool view next time as balconies were not used). the beds were comfy, clean and new bathrooms, and spacious rooms. breakfast was great with a range of western and asian choices, however the hotel food did not look as good as the choices around pub street. Staff were all very helpful and kind, great cocktails on the roof top while watching the sun set, and importantly only a short stroll to pub street and the wonderful markets of siem reap. great place, would stay again without a second thought.
The Royal Crown Hotel & Spa is set near the middle of Siem Reap , close to everything but just far away enough to be peaceful. incense burned in the hallways gives it a very serene feel. The staff is a great help when you need them.
Let me take this opportunity to thank you for sharing us your review here. We really appreciate that you chose us for your accommodation and we do hope you will come back someday and let us serve you again in your future visit. Kind regards,
