The Royal Exchange Hotel is centrally located in Broken Hill, close to the border with South Australia. Featuring Art Deco design, it offers air-conditioned rooms with TV and internet connection. All guest rooms are decorated with heavy carpets and are equipped with a minibar, a ceiling fan, and an en suite bathroom. Guests of Royal Exchange can relax by the fireplace in the spacious lounge and enjoy a drink at the hotel’s bar. The area of Broken Hill features several green parks and gardens. Visitors can also see native Australian animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, and emus. Hotel Royal Exchange is within walking distance to many shops, cafés, restaurants and night clubs. It is less than 5 km away from Broken Hill Airport.

Don’t stay there”
The staff were so rude. We had a vomiting child and they wouldn’t let us stay to check out after 10am and were offensively rude when we asked for another hour. The woman said “that’s not my problem, it’s 10 o’clock”. We were so horrified by the cruelty of their attitude to a very ill child.

The Royal Exchange Hotel did not meet our expectations as the hotel is looking slightly tired. The room was neat and tidy, however had a dusty smell. The restaurant menu was very basic if you like snitzel, steak and pasta. The location is great.

Lovely old world charmer that has been kept in superb condition and sensitively modernised so you don’t have to compromise your creature comforts while enjoying some retro atmosphere. Location is excellent.
