If you go in with certain knowledge and expectations (to be mentioned), this hotel is awesome! Yes, it's small and elevator old, but it's Paris, everywhere is that way. Yes, it's old (visibly at times), but that gives it charm and it serves it's purpose -- you can sleep (comfortably) and shower (water was warm). You can kinda hear the city but it's not too loud, and it stops around midnight. The staff are helpful (especially the night ones) and make sure you mind your manners that the French expect -- Bonjour, merci, bonne journée, etc... Pigalle is sorta a "red light" district (sex shops and the like), so if you expect that it's fine (it's safe to walk at night, we did). Two metros (Blanche and Pigalle) super close, lots of good restaurants/bars/brasseries nearby. And the absinthe thing they have is fun. The cleaning was great (given the oldness), and daily, we saw them cleaning often when leaving. Double bed easily fit two.

Perfectly located for roaming montmartre... Front desk very friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small, but a nice queensize bed was better than a small bed with more room. Cleaning staff seemed to love working there too. Some comments mentioned noise which we did not experience having a room on an upper floor and overlooking a tranquil courtyard. Very basic French breakfast. Good value for Paris these days.

Friendly, clean hotel near metro station”
The area might look a bit rougwe came back quite last a few nights and the people on the streets look harmless. The hotel staff is friendly and the breakfast was nice and adequate. Wifi connection is good, and the rooms are tidy, though a bit old. They do have an old style elevator, those u see on movies, and i think its a cool novelty. The nearest metro station is just less than 5mins walk. Lafayette and Printemps (shopping malls) are still walkable around 20-25mins. They will help you store your luggage if you need more time after you check out. I will stay here again if I come back to Paris.

Functional convenient hotel with lovely staff”
We stayed here to attend a gig on the Bvd de Clichy. The location was excellent for us and the price good for Paris. Our room was on the first floor and was clean and tidy and comfortable. We did not experience noise with the windows shut (we also put our fan on to create a bit of white noise). You do hear the rumble of the metro and this is not a quiet location, but for what we needed it was great and the staff could not have been more polite and helpful both before and during our stay.

+ interesting place with it's own history + wonderful view from windows to Montmartre and Sacre Cœur + very friendly, helpful and communicative staff - probably hotel needs little reparation. (But it's still charming anyway!)

Clean, reasonable size of the room, close to MTR”
The hotel has lift, and room is clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and some can speak English. The breakfast is nice. However, it is also very close to moulin rouge, the area is not that suitable for family with young children. It can be very noisy at night if the window is not shut.

The room and the hotel is convenient. They have most off the things you would need. The internet connection was sufficient. I had no trouble connecting the wifi. The room was tidy and smell good. There is nothing worse than a room with bad smell from bad air flow.

Disappointed”
I was disappointed with my stay at hotel. Although the room was small which is typical of France the furnishings were seriously outdated. It would make a big difference if the bedding, bedroom furnishing, and the small antiquated TV was updated, the lack thereof made the Hotel stay painful. Although they provided free breakfast it was a continental breakfast consisting of coffee, juice, bread’s and cereal. The location was great to get places as it was close to the metro. If you get a room street side it is very noisy. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights. The location is convenient, but it's very noisy at night. There are many bars and some sexy shops around the hotel. It's not suitable for family with children. The bathroom is small, especially the shower.

TOTAL DISASTER!”
The signs were there the moment we stepped out of the metro. The area was filled with homeless and intoxicated people. The hotel receptionist was not very welcoming and I even got told that there were no reservations booked under my name but clearly I was not going to waste my time going there to check in to my hotel room. Then we get our room. Everything was old, dilapidated, wallpapers from the 80's that were peeling off, pillows that are so old and used up that your head literally hits the bed upon laying your head on it, tiles in the bathroom were broken and hanging off. Worst of all they had no air conditioning unit with the heat temperature peaking at 34 deg. So we could not even close the windows otherwise we would have suffocated and burned out from the heat. Meaning we did not sleep for two nights that we were in this hotel. As you can also hear gangs outside the hotel and in the area in general fighting, screaming, shouting, chasing and throwing glass bottles at each other.

Good hotel with unpleasant neighbourhood”
Generally the staff are polite and helpful. It was a simple room with no much facilities in the room, like lack of dustbin, no boiler, etc. The hotel is located in a red light district area. Therefore, a night out may not be a good option due to safety reason. They were drunken immigrant loitering in the neighbourhood when comes to night time.
