Good value for the money”
Nearly every time I visit Singapore, I stay here. The facilities are definitely more than adequate for the price in Singapore and kept very clean (as far as hostels go, that's always a huge plus). They provide good wifi, hot showers, a modest breakfast (toast, coffee and tea... the coffee and tea are available for free all day, but the toast is only until 10:30am), and access to a washer and dryer (which is pay for use, but not unreasonable. Prices are the same for the washer and dryer as they are at any of the laundromats in the area, S$5 for washer, and another S$5 for the dryer .. but they're both quite large, and if you're smart you can find someone to double up with you and split the cost). If you're looking for somewhere to stay in SG, I'd definitely recommend here. Clean facilities, good staff, and only about a 5 minute walk from the Chinatown MRT with easy access to most of the rest of the city from there.

Simple, easy and cozy”
Royal Hostel Singapore is definitely a place where I'm going to stay the next time I go to singapore. It may seem insignificant and a bit silly, but as a Moslem, I really appreciate the water sprinkle in the toilet as opposed to just tissue paper. The Internet is top notch speed with a very steady connection, great for late night movies etc. 24 hour selve serve snack, mainly consisting of biscuits, coffee and tea. And 24 hour cold/hot drinking water. The location is superb, right in the middle of the hustle and buzz of Chinatown. It's also a 5 minute walk to the mosque, so to anybody stating that Chinatown isn't a friendly place for Moslem tourist, try stay in RHS..

Comfortable. Clean. Cheap.”
Great! The hostel is along with Chinatown Food Street. I just walk out of the hostel and I can choose whatever I want to eat. I had a pleasant sleep because of the comfortable bed and sheets. The staff cleans the hostel from time to time. There is a free coffee, milk tea and crackers that you can avail at the lobby 24/7. I thank them for the free use of hair dryer, fridge and phone. MRT is just a five, minute walk away from the hostel, that's why I can easily go to places I want to visit. Thank you Royal Hostel for the good accomodation.

Very accessible location”
What I loved about the Royal Hostel is its location in China Town right in front of the Food Street! Best thing that happened to me in Singapore. Regarding the room, I was surprised by the comfort of the bed even though I have a tall frame and the room didn't really seem crowded at all (we were 18 inside the dorm). I just had some tiny problems dealing with the small bathroom because of my tall frame but overall, my stay here is worthy and would want to come back for sure.

CHINATOWN”
Arrived at 7am to check in. Was so tired, I was crossing my fingers that the check in will not take long. And it was real quick. thank god. Crash on the bed and slept all the way through the afternoon until its time to get up to head out for Zoukout. Stayed here for 4 days and it was great. If you are afraid that you need to walk awhile to ind food. No worries. Its just a stone throw away (well... you dont even need to throw the stone. Just drop it). But if you're a light sleeper, you might not like this place. The hawker food downstairs is quite noisy. I didnt sleep much. I came back from Zoukout at 6am and only slept up to 10am due to the noise. Bathrooms are quite limited. Theres only 2 rooms (unisex) for our dorm to share. And it was a full house that week. So prepare to wait. Or beat everyone else to it. Showers were quite small though... but its a B&B and its in Chinatown. I guess thats given. Beds were really comfortable. and clean. But thats all to it. Nothing else to brag about. Just good enough for a good rest and catch up on Zs. Location is super great. If this is your first time in Singapore, this is the best area to stay. Then explore around this area. People's Park Complex (where all the cheap hawker stalls are) is just a few minutes walk away. Train station is just around the corner as well. Theres a Chinese Museum just 5 minutes walk away (if you're into that sort of thing) and its FREE.

A great backpacker hostel”
We had a great stay here. The staff was very warm and helpful. The bed was neat, tidy, and comfortable as well. You will be sharing rooms with others, but they provide the bed with some sort of blinds to keep your privacy. the location of the hostel is near to MRT station and right at the heart of China Town. You will not have any difficulties to find something to eat as the food stalls are right in front of the hostel. the bathroom is rather small, but it is still fit nevertheless. They provide free breakfast in the morning up until 10 am. decent breakfast though, but more than enough to help you awake and go around to look for some breakfast. overall, recommended place to stay for budget or those who wish to experience a backpacker atmosphere in singapore.

good location”
the location was right in the middle of smith street which was centrally located in chinatown where all the food stalls are. after a long, tiring day, you just have to go down from this hostel and voila, all the food stalls are there waiting for you to try out what's on the menu. we had the room for three which was pretty small but nevertheless, the beds are really comfortable, the aircon was good, nice comforters, plenty of electrical sockets with a personal locker inside the room. nothing fancy. wifi is fast too. we also get had free coffee and some bread and spreads for breakfast for free.

Excellent hostel”
The hostel situated in Chinatown which is very close to the MRT station, just 2-3 minutes walk. Breakfast included was simple but still, I could choose from peanut butter, jam, or even kaya on my toast! The hostel was clean and comfortable. One thing to remind, the air-con will be turned off from 10AM - 4PM, if you usually wake up late, you will only have the fan. I'm not concerning at all since I was out most of the time. All in all, I would highly recommend this budget hostel.

Good place to stay in Singapore”
The hostel is right at Chinatown food street and there are nearby MRT/bus station. The location is convenient to travel around Singapore. Friendly staff and good facility. It would be better if the closet has lock.

clean and quiet”
Great hostel in the heart of Chinatown - despite being on a busy street with restaurants and food stalls there was little to no noise in the rooms. The dorm was cleaned daily and bathrooms also very clean. Strong wifi connection as well. The only negative is that the atmosphere of the hostel wasn't very lively, so not the best place to meet other backpackers if one was to be travelling solo.

Good location”
The location is perfect, right to the Chinatown market, there is a lot of food hawker stalls, souvenirs, near to MRT station... The hostel is quiet, it's always clean. They also provide the late check-in for guests, there is only one thing, the last toilet room on the right is a little dirty, hope the hostel will fix it soon. All the other thing is perfect, nothing to complain.

Great choice!”
I was hesitant to book this at first as I cannot find any blogs or articles reviewing this hostel, aside from what I read from Agoda. But our stay is excellent! The location is A+! Literally few steps from Chinatown MRT. The free breakfast at Kopi Express or Nanyang is great! The facilities are well cleaned and maintained. Fang is really helpful. Will definitely reco! :)

Wonderful and best accomodation.”
It was not too expensive. We had the double bed in 16 bed dormitory. It was worth every penny. The location was great, close to a lot of great stalls and restaurants and the closest train station is like 5 mins away. The bed, room, washroom and lobby was always clean. The bed was really big which I loved and it was always cold inside the facility. It was great because during the summer time it can get hot in singapore. So coming home to that temperature just makes you sleep like a baby after many adventures. The best part for me was the receptionist there especially the one who checked us in. I felt bad because I had soooo much questions and instead of showing he was getting annoyed, he had a big smile on his face and happy voice. He was very helpful, every question he answered or atleast tried. Searched everything if he didn’t know the answer. Was very nice and informative. Fast wifi by the way. Best accommodation we have ever stayed in, even compare to resorts and hotel more expensiv

Excellent location”
Perfect location, very accesible. Night market just right outside the building. Covenience stores are within walking distance. Chinatown sells the cheapest souvenirs, better pricing vs. Bugis. No lift, so it may not be suitable for people who have difficulty walking up/down stairs. There are 2 showers, 2toilets on our floor, they were always clean. Water pressure was excellent. Overall value for money.

Centrally located in Singapore”
Royal Hostel Located in Chinatown where downstairs you can find Various restaurants and stores. The toilets werent big and clean though and the bed arrangement was quite off. We were moved to Royal Lodge on our last night, this place is right in front of MRT access in Pagoda St. Chinatown. Place is cleaner than Royal Hostel and bed arrangement is better as well as the toilets and bathrooms are cleaner. Overall, location was perfect.
