Amazing Place to Stay”
this is one of the best hotel that i've ever been in asia. i booked a standard single but they upgraded it double deluxe room because the standard single is not yet available. i stayed in a deluxe room during the entire duration of my stay in cambodia. i called the hotel before i arrived in phnom penh from hcm and requested to me pick me up in the bus station and the driver arrived there on time. i reached the hotel very safe and when i checked-in, the front desk and the concierge personnel are very approachable and helped me carry my stuff up to my room. in addition, the food served at the restaurant are awesome. i will definitely go back to this royal inn the next time i'll visit phnom penh.

Gorgeous little hotel with great amenities ”
have stayed at royal inn before but don't tend to stay for long periods of time because there are other, much cheaper options (that, obviously, aren't anywhere as nice as royal inn), but we decided to stay here again for a few nights because agoda offered such a great deal on our superior room. the rooms are very modern and homely, with a fridge (hard to come by at a reasonable price in phnom penh), power that doesn't turn off when you leave your room (it's great to be able to charge your phones etc when you go out, or to leave the aircon on for when you get back), a bath (plus shower), cable tv, internet, and free breakfast. the location is a very short moto or tuktuk ride to the riverside (or a ten minute walk if it's not too hot!) where you'll find loads of restaurants, cafes etc. love royal inn, and will definitely stay again thanks to agoda!

Clean and spacious room for single traveler”
Travelling solo, had a standard single room, room seems new and it was very clean. Room cleaning done every morning and it was fantastic, no complaints. There was korean, Jap and chinese restaurant just next to the hotel, pretty expensive menu as compared to the local dinning. But no worries, there are several street vendors along the road near to the hotel and you can easily get noodles or local delicacies for less than 1USD. There are always Tuk Tuk drivers outside the hotel and is pretty convenient to travel around the city. Best suggested to book a Tuk Tuk driver for an entire day if you are going to more than 4 attractions. Most attraction in Phnom Penh can easily be covered within 2hours each. Settle down for killing fields and genocide museum in the morning and you can go to Royal Palace, Wat Phnom and central market in the afternoon. Rmb to wake up early!

Lovely Hotel In the City”
i enjoyed my stay in this hotel with my family. this is my 2nd times to phnom penh and i quite surprise with the development in the city and royal inn hotel is the best example. value for money, not far from the tourist attraction and tuk tuk ( just infront of the hotel) waiting for you. good in room facility( quite brand new)beyond my expectation. i will return again to this hotel in my next holiday and of course will recommend to all my friends and family members.

positively surprised”
I arrived in Phnom Pehn after having spent 10 days in southern vietnam where I had stayed in a few different hotels and I must admit that the Royal Inn beats them all (even the more expensive ones). The standard room was bigger than deluxe in saigon and much cheaper as well. The restaurant is simply fabulous. Bit pricy for Cambodia (happy hour buy 1 get 1 free cocktails - $3,5, two course meal is $6-9) but absolutely worth it (very good service as well!). Breakfast was very basic (set menu: eggs, bread, juice, croissant, butter, jam and coffee) but I'm not a big eater in the mornings so I couldn't complain.

Lovely hotel in Phnom Penh”
This hotel was a nice surprise after our hectic journey by bus from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh. Rooms are very modern, air conditioning works fantastically and free wifi was a plus. We even got 2 bottles of complimentary water and the hotel reception even arranged us to have breakfast half an hour earlier than their opening time. Breakfast was very nice even though it wasn't a buffet and you could either choose coffee OR juice. The hotel arranged our bus to Siem Reap and we were picked up on time. I would recommend this hotel to anybody that visits Phnom Penh because it's value for money and you're only $1 tuk tuk ride away from the Riverfront.

Good location clean hotel”
Generally the room is clean, and quite near to the waterfront. Tuk tuk is available outside the hotel, and can take us for the day tours around phnom penh. There is also a few shops offering foot and body massage which are a few doors away from the hotel. Food at the hotel is good and for most of the dinners we ate at the hotel as it was raining almost every evening during our stay in phnom penh. Our room was upgraded to a bigger room from what we purchase and we are happy with our stay in royal inn hotel

Decent place, nothing extraordinary”
The Royal Inn is a simple hotel, nothing to rant and rave about. The deluxe balcony room we reserved was nice. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, the decor was nice. One issue we had is that the window is so thin that we were able to hear everything from the road outside...all throughout the night. Bring a pair of ear plugs just in case. After traveling for over 2 weeks this was the first hotel that did not offer the traditional breakfast buffet. They served a "set menu" for breakfast which was very basic: two eggs, a slice of toast, a croissant, tea/coffee, juice. That was it. We were pretty surprised that they didn't even serve fruit. Nothing special here. Basically, the Royal Inn Hotel for us was a quick two night stop in Phnom Penh and we are glad that was all it was.

A jewel in the crown”
This was a wonderful place to stay in Phnom Penh. It is a small and clean hotel just south of the main central area of Phnom Penh and avoids a lot of the traffic and noise. The room was larger than I expected for a single and had everything I needed: A large comfprtable clean bed, cupboards and drawers, a fridge, tv, air conditioning, clean sit down European toilet, a shower and good lighting near the bathroom mirror and basin. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty as was dinner where they adjusted the menu for me and my vegetarian needs. I would be happy to stay here again in a heart beat.

a gem of a hotel in the heart of phnom penh”
We stayed at Royal Inn Hotel at the beginning and end of our trip in Cambodia...we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to finish off there. Staff were very nice and courteous. Rooms were spacious, modern, and most importantly, clean. We also appreciated that there was complimentary wifi internet...as other hotels charged for using this. Overall, we had a good stay at Royal Inn. The only downfall was the lack of restaurant selections in the area.

Good location and clean hotel”
My stay at the Royal Inn Hotel was very good indeed. I really enjoyed the area where it is located... very near to the new Aeon of Phnom Penh.... there is also very good local food which is walking distance (just a few doors away) and across the road was a very nice café called Chutt. Access to the city was good as there were lots of tuk tuks waiting outside the hotel to take you to anywhere in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to come stay again at this hotel.

Great service at Royal Inn Hotel”
we were accomodated warmly at royal inn hotel, with their friendly staff who helped us book our city tour transport and bus pick-up. the hotel requires a short tuk-tuk ride away from the cluster of restaurants and tourist attractions but it also gives you an opportunity for a quiet and relaxing stay away from the noisy crowd. the rooms are big and spacious. you may also opt to skip the free breakfast and have breakfast out instead since the food isn't exceptional. over-all, royal inn is a nice place to stay for a short visit in phnom penh.

Better than expected, overall a very pleasant stay”
Cleanliness/comfort: We stayed a total of 4 nights, in two different rooms. Both the rooms were clean and comfortable, with decor that's nicer than expected for its price. (I'm very particular about cleanliness btw) Noise Level: The first room we stayed in (3rd floor) wasn't very soundproof so we could hear commotions on the street clearly, especially LOUD passing rallying trucks for political parties. We're not light sleepers, so that wasn't an issue with us. However, if you are, and/or get annoyed by loud noises easily, you should definitely request for a room that's not on the side that faces the road. 2nd room had zero noise pollution from the road. Service: The staff there are generally polite and friendly, with a few who stood out thanks to their excellent service. Overall feedback: Would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers who are on a budget and want a clean and comfortable place to stay. The walk-in rates are more expensive though, so if you're interested, I'd suggest you book through Agoda first. Additional information/advice: The tuktuk drivers will definitely hike up their prices for tourists, so be sure to haggle with them. Walking away if they're too stubborn usually helps; they'll probably give in and agree to your offer. As a rough guideline, from Royal Inn to Riverfront should cost you no more than USD$2, and the trip is around 5 to 10mins; from Royal Inn to the airport (40 mins) should cost you $5 or $6. Not too sure about the latter, so if you manage to bargain for a lower price, good job. When travelling from the airport, note that tuktuks hired by the airport are expensive, so you should walk out to the streets and hire one from there instead. Stated the prices here so you can make sure you don't settle for anything more than what we paid. Based on the distance/price ratio of these two places, you can compare it to the distances you need to travel and make pretty fair estimations.

Clean & Fresh”
Suitably impressed by this small budget type hotel which is close to the main Phnom Penh city square. Overall the hotel is kept clean - rooms as well as reception area. The best part for me was the attached Belgian restaurant where a choice of european and local breakfast is served. Good breads, arguably the best potato chips and local as well as foreign beer was available in the restaurant. There were alternative food outlets available within a stone's throw of the hotel.

Excellent room ”
Excellent room for the amount paid. Clean, spacious and well equipped rooms. Staff is able to arrange from transportation out of phnom penh. The hotel also have a pretty decent bar and restaurant. Location wise, it is quite a distance from the main river front where most of the F&B are located. Walkable but would take about 30mins. There are quite a number of massage parlors along the same street with the hotel. Expect a bit of touting espcially if you are a lone male traveler.

Second time at the Royal Inn was even better!”
this was our second time at the royal inn. they remembered our faces and names and were even more responsive and helpful than they were during our last stay. this hotel is fantastic, especially for the price. literally two minutes away is nagaworld, which may be slightly nicer but is way more expensive. the dinner was again amazing, and they got up especially for us at 4:30am to make breakfast before our flight. awesome.

Great price for a great place”
our stay at the royal inn hotel was great for the 2 nights we spent there. we were just stopping in phnom penh on our way to siem reap, so we weren't looking for anything too extravagant. it is away from the main road, but there were always tuktuks available outside. we even got to know one of the drivers and he took us around on a tour for the two days we were there! the only downside was that our room did not have a window, but it was a short term stay and we were hardly in the room anyway.

value for money”
The hotel is totally recommendable, if I go back Phnom Penh, I will definitely stay again in this hotel. Clean and spacious room, helpful staff, free internet, good a/c, good restaurant and much more are its pros. Although it is a little bit far from the riverside and main attractions, you can get there by tuk tuk paying only 2 USD.

haunted room”
Royal Inn is the intermediate shop lot, converted to a hotel. very good location just outskirt of town. It takes 10 minutes by tuk tuk to the National museum and around 20 minutes to the killing field by a car. Don't take tuk-tuk to the Killing field, the road is uneven and the air is dusty. Not convenient during hot weather though it is cheap transport. Halal food is not a problem. Go to street 130, there are 3 halal restaruants and near the National mosque. We had good holiday in Cambodia.
