The Royal Lanta Resort & Spa is situated on Koh Lanta Noi’s most popular, yet still peaceful beach, of Klong Dao. The Royal Lanta Resort & Spa is Klong Dao’s leading luxury resort, offering various types of beautifully decorated bungalows to suit all needs, including very spacious family bungalows. There are two outdoor swimming pools, both offering stunning views of the beach and mountains. The Klong Dao Beach is famous for its stretch of white sand and shallow waters, perfect for swimming. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars on the beach. The nearby Saladan town offers even more choices and is within walking distance from the resort. Alternatively, the taxi ride from the resort will only take a few minutes and costs just over one US dollar. Royal Lanta Resort & Spa can be easily booked with our secure online booking form. Absolutely enjoyable stay at this beautiful resort. The Superior room was clean and spacious, facing swimming pool and lovely garden. There are 2 huge swimming pools, one near the entrance, the other near the beach. Plenty of sun chairs at pool and beach areas. Many restaurants, bars, massages, bike rental and convenient stores next to resort. Klong Dao beach is the best beach in Koh Lanta in my opinion, powdery sand no rubbish and no rocks unlike the neighbouring beaches full of sharp corals, rocks and rubbish. The beach is shallow but deep enough for safe swimming. The owner is friendly, the staffs are helpful and courteous although some of them don’t speak good English but again you are in Thailand. Breakfast was ok. Go to Bambie’s for THB100 lunch special 12-3pm, 2mins away from right side of the beach. The food was very good and authentic. Would definitely recommend this resort and will definitely return if here again. Stay in the Deluxe Villa if possible they are beautiful.
Lovely honeymoon stay !”
Pros : Well preserved old architecture, clean, well maintained, friendly staff, had our room upgraded FOC, fast and easy check in / out, good spa services although pricey, 2 huge pools, great location (Saladan Pier), walking distance to 7Eleven and halal restos, Anny Tours on the right side of the beach. wonderful experience ! Extended our stay for 2 more nights ! Cons : Housekeepers although friendly, doesn’t read English (left a note, but was disregarded), no telephone in room to contact housekeeping/frontdesk, limited seafood and vegetarian choice at breakfast to accommodated vegetarian/muslim guests. Definitely recommend the place ! To solo travelers, couple, family, everyone !

Excellent value for money”
We Stayed at the Royal Lanter for four days in March 2019. It would very much value for money. There are a few things that could make it better. The pool areas needed More shade as both were in full sun for most of the day. The room was lovely but could have benefited from few extras but all in all it was a good room. The staff made this place, They were always very helpful and super friendly. If we can meet to Koh Lanta we would stay here again
Still a great choice to stay in Lanta”
Some renovation work is needed here and there, but overall it's still a great resort to stay at. Villas are clean, spacious and settled in a beautiful environment. Loved the style of the rooms. We got a complimentary 20min massage and a 20% voucher for the restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice grounds, right on the beach.”
We stayed at Royal Lanta for 4 nights. We were in the cheapest room which is in a building in the back of the property. The building is simple (no frills) but clean and the bed is comfortable. The other rooms are more of a bungalow but are right on the pathway down to the beach so the privacy is minimal. Only a couple of the bungalows have beach view. There are two large pools and nice lounge chairs near the sandy beach. The beach/ocean is perfect. You can walk out a long ways and is perfect for kids. The breakfast is very simple but can hold you over to lunch. There are many places to each and minimarts very close to the resort. If you like simple, this is a good choice.
strategic location,friendly staff”
Highly recommended for those travelling with kids. We stayed in a spacious family unit equipped with one king bed and 1 bunk bed comfy enough for the kids. The beach is just a few step away from the room. For muslim traveller, there's a range of muslim halal stall along the street. Our favourite was the Thai pancake bike stall right in front of 7-eleven which open 7pm onwards. Shops and 7eleven is just 500m away from the main lobby.
Top hotel. Best location right on the beach. ”
Clean and comfi rooms. Very nice garden sorrounding and good food. Negative: many chinese
Run down Resort ”
I stayed 2015 in this Hotel and was Ok. We decided to send my parents (77yr & 74yr) for 18 (!) Nights to this Hotel 2019. I call and ask if they can give them a room which fullfilll their convinience. THE HOTEL GAVE THEM THE WORST POSSIBLE ROOM IN BUlLDING 3 and really want to give with the upper floor! No lift and my poor mum even can’t climb! I follow them for 5 days and booked family suite for $180/night! What a waste! TV not works, Whirlpool not works, everything run down, smelly from outside! WiFi not works in the expensive Suite, totally uneacceptsble! Totally disappointed! All sunlounges still the same since 4 years, broken, matrass foam ugly stinky just nothing maintain. What a waste! Breakfast poor, they don’t understand English even can’t say if pork or chicken. I need to show how sunny side up looks like and I have to use their pan to show them! Better avoid this place. We paid $180 and $ 100 per night for this get nice new 4 Star in LANTA. Staff is not educated enough!
It was wonderful stay”
+Big, green garden and huge teritory; + family number was big bungalo with double bed and bunk bed + very big pool; + lot fo birds singing, geckons singing and varan. + near to beach; + welcoming personel. Definetly will stay again. Thank you Royal Resort for very pleasant stay and smiles everywhere.
Nice resort on the beach with 2 pools”
Went with my family and my brother's family with small kids. The kids enjoyed playing in the big pool by the rooms and also in the smaller pool by the beach. Breakfast overlooking the beach was nice. The beach itself was also nice to walk along and there were many places to eat dinner along the beach on either side. Food options along this area were a bit pricey but overall a great experience.
lovely!! one of the best hotels in Thaialand ”
we booked it for 2 nights. but when we arrived we booked an other 6 nights. such a good hotel. it would be nice to have some differences in the breakfast when you stay longer. but still the hotel is perfect. nearby are restaurants. we hope to came back one day
The rooms were lovely with everything we needed. Great pools, great family friendly beach and nice location. It was low season so the restaurant didn’t have everything we wanted (coffee should be available all year round) but otherwise no complaints!
We stayed first 2 nights, but booked 6 extra. We love the place, pools, beach, staff and location. All is good. Even honeymoon decoration. Minus: The cleaners for the room can do a better job. They don't clean the floor that good, shower, etc. Pool close at 7, and they don't turn on the bubble bath or lights. Maybe because of low season.
We stayed in a beach front superior villa ,room 1121, huge room and it was amazing. Shady side patio and we had a view over the front pool and beach. The resort is very long with the front half very traditional and the rear looks newer. The rear pool is quite large and surrounded by two storey Thai buildings. The gardens are beautiful and tidy. The spa is very expensive but good quality. Food in the restaurant is delicious. The restaurant building is in need of an update but still quite acceptable. Ideal location in middle of bay and close to beach restaurants and 80 Baht into Saladan. Recommend Fat Monkey Restaurant a 10 minute walk away.
Good location, Premium Pool room simply overpriced”
The location is just perfect, klong dao beach is wide and large and the bottom is 100% sandy. Oasis yoga is in front of the hotel, as many restaurants, bars and mini markets. The Premium pool view is overpriced: far from beach and not nicely decorated or maintenaned. During NYE there was a compulsory Gaka dinner: simply a steal，150 USD roughly for a poor quality buffet. Agoda just added subtly to the cart. Overall rooms do not justify the price, breakfast is average and location great.
Mary from England”
The room is spacious but there is only one mirror which is placed above wash basin, making it difficult to see what you are doing as you have to lean forward over the basin surround. Also sun beds are wooden and very heavy to move, with umbrellas that are useless as do not provide any shade. On the plus side the grounds are beautiful and staff are friendly.
Great place to stay - see you soon”
We had a great holiday at Royal Lanta Resort & Spa. Spending New Years Eve was unforgettable. The nice buffet and entertainment and of course the fireworks was super. This year we needed a wheelchair to make it easier for our son that had hurt his leg and they provide us with a perfect one. Thank you so much to the staff for making this holiday great.
3 star trying to be a 4”
Terrific and helpful staff, nice grounds, great location and decent pools. Breakfast quite uninspiring, many little things needing to be fixed or updated. The restaurant and spa are virtually empty every day except for breakfast because they are more expensive than similar places 30 metres away.
Old but nice”
Hotel is a bit older than we normally stay at, we had a deluxe villa and there was some kind of caterpillars in the room, the staff said that it was common I those rooms. Massage facilities are excellent, nice pool, good breakfast and really close to the beach. Could be some more smiles and hellos from the front desk.
