It is a very pleasant stay for us for only one night in this wonderful hotel. It is very close to Acropolis, just 10-15 minutes walking distance. The hotel's environment is also very pleasing, the staffs are really helpful, smiling and cooperative.

The panorama room doesn't worth the money”
The panorama room doesn't worth the money, its outdated cheap bed cover, Considering that room cost 400 usd not even free bottle of water was given . Reception staff is arrogant behave like they own the place and don't care if we paid money. Breakfast on a roof has a lovely view but no choice of cheese or good ham or pooched eggs. The biggest disappointment is a gym, its not in a hotel building you have to walk and equipment if any from 1970

Location, helpful staff, very very spacious rooms
First of all, just want to say that I love Athens and think everyone should visit Athens at least once in their lifetime :) awesome location, you can see a great view of Temple of Zeus from the hotel. Very short walking distance to Temple of Zeus and Acropolis! Lots of good restaurants nearby!

Gem in Athens”
location, professional staff, proximity to souvenir shops
my family and i had a great time at the royal olympic hotel. the view from the hotel was simply breathtaking. athens is in the middle of a recession and looks it, but the hotel itself is a different world. the wifi needs to be constantly refreshed and the breakfast fare (while good) doesn't change, but these are minor issues. the hotel looks opulent and is clean. there is a mini grocery grocery and avery good and cheap italian take-away place only a few meters away. our stay in greece became even more memorable because of this hotel.

Good hotel but lack of many small things”
Spacious room, lovely bathroom, good view, great lobby
overall it was good, but when i arrive in my room, i just remembered that i have not asked for wifi password, i call the front desk n they told me to come down and take the number password, cannot by phone, so i did that, it was wasting time and tiring to have to come down again when they could have just given it to me when i first check in if they have regulation not to give out password by phone. and the worse part is, we have to enter the password over and over again everytime we leave the computer or ipad unattended for just a few minutes, not to mention that it can only be used with one device, so the two of us can only use one device in one time..... it was quite annoying for internet user like me? and for expensive hotel like this, the bed should be better n more comfortable, but it has good location, spacious room, good view n great lobby.

Great Hotel”
Best Location, Very Nice Room, Accomodating Staff
When we arrived in the Hotel around 12 in the afternoon, the front desk told us that we need to wait for 2-3 pm to clean the rooms the no vacant room that time. Room was huge, you can view the Temple of Zeun from your room. Bathroom was great, separate toilet and batch, nice dressing room and they gave us a welcome fruits and bottle of wine. You can go up to the viewing deck of the hotel where you can see the akropolis and temple of zeus. There is a good foodstore just beside the hotel. They serve pizza and pasta in a very good price.

Nothing
This hotel was fantastic, very much a 5 star hotel, the rooms were large and the beds comfortable. The check in was very quick which was great given our checkin time of 4 am. This hotel is right near the Plaka and the Acropolis. Easy access to everything and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was included and this was great. The wifi was free and that is always a bonus and it worked every where.

Horrible stuffy hotel with poor location and service”
Pros: Nice view of Acropolis and Temple of Zeus from the rooftop Cons: Many rooms are internally facing so are dark and dingy with no windows Staff are not friendly or helpful (except the concierge/ bell Boys) Old hotel with minimal facilities Poor location no where near the heart of town and pretty dead at night. Surcharges for basic things at breakfast e.g coffee at breakfast Overall disappointing considering we stayed at a cheaper hotel previously in Athens and had a way better experience!

Very good”
We always stay at the Royal Olympic Hotel when we visit Athens. The Hotel is well located, the staff are very friendly and efficient and the hotel is reasonably comfortable. Unfortunately we usually visit in August at the height of the vacation period and the demand for space at the pool makes this area very uncomfortable. The Hotel really needs to provide more lounges, umbrellas and chairs to accommodate for guests who want to relax by the pool during the hottest part of the day. This overcrowding makes guests frustrated and detracts from all the fine facilities elsewhere like the beautiful bar and restaurant on the top floor. Still our favourite place to stay in this city.

The worst 5 Star Hotel I have stayed throughout my trip. In fact my entire experience”
The worst 5 Star I have ever stayed. Let me list down why. First, the staff looked like as if you owed them money. Second, no one helped us with luggage despite the fact that we had 5 luggage with us, and arrived at about 11.30pm looking damned tired. Third, the check-in was extremely slow without minimum instructions given. Fourth, they told us the breakfast is located at xxx and the timing. We did not book with breakfast. Other hotels will ask if we want to upgrade or purchase breakfast at discounted price. Due to their confusing instruction, we went to check at the restaurant early in the morning whether we have breakfast. We didn't check on the spot because we were so damned tired and just wanted to rest. A five star hotel should not make such a mistake. Fifth, they did not provide free bottle water. Sixth, the TV wasn't working. Seventh, they charged for storing your luggage. Even 4 Star hotel that I had stayed throughout my one month holiday did not charge for storage. Eight, they did not even have complimentary coffee or tea. I can excuse them for not providing free bottle water as some European hotels do that, but no coffee and tea?? Even a motel will provide that. Compared my subsequent experience at Santorini villa, it is heaven and earth. The only reason if you want to stay at this hotel is the affordable rate and the good location. That's all, period.

Don't book the Executive rooms !”
1. Leaving the "executive room" to go to the Delux room 2. the view from the rooftop restaurant 3. the location of the hotel
The stay went from terrible to good over 4 days. We had booked a 'executive room" which translates into a standard room, which was claustrophobic, with a large bed about 2 feet from the wall, and a long and narrow room, with a simple and old bathroom. I went to the reception to ask for a better room for the next few nights and was told point blank and rather rudely that I could pay for an upgrade if I wanted to, as all the executive rooms are the same. As it happened, the aircon was not working in the room, and as it was midnight, we were then upgraded to a better room, after we called about 3 or 4 times to see if anyone was coming to fix it. The upgraded room to a Delux room, was a renovated room, much bigger, with a marble bathroom. The beds in both executive and delux rooms were the same, however the bedding was different, with better quality blankets. It felt like two different hotels. The pool is ok, though not too big. It's dangerous for anyone under 5 feet as there is no shallow end apart from the steps ! The area around the pool is not very large either, and it is difficult to find a lounge chair. The food in the restaurant is high end pricing, though average food, and not a large menu. I was given glass of proseco (10 euros) served room temperature, which should have been chilled. The white wine glass that arrived was room temperature as well. As a 5 star hotel they really should renovate all the rooms, plus pick up their game with the restaurant.

Comfortable rooms”
Clean, comfortable and good location
The lobby area is very beautiful and so is my room. Although the room is slightly on the small side but the bed is relatively comfortable. Room is clean too. Location is good. Some of the rooms can see Acropolis but my room cant as it is not facing that direction. Overall this hotel is decently priced and comfortable to stay.
