Convenient Location @ Sha Tin, HK”

My family stayed 4 nights at the Royal Park Hotel. My husband and I usually stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel located at the University MTR station. This time we picked the Royal Park Hotel mainly because it offers a family room with 3 twin beds and the price is very reasonable comparing to the Hyatt Regency. The location of the hotel is excellent. There are many high quality restaurants near the hotel with a short walking distance. The Royal Park restaurant on the first floor of the hotel serves an excellent Dim Sum dishes with 20% discount if you are the guest of the hotel. Crystal Pearl is across the street from the hotel, Din Tai Fung, the famous Taiwanese Restaurant is on the right corner on the first floor of the hotel. There are also many eateries in the Sha Tin Mall. There is a bus #A41 from the airport that takes you to the front of hotel. It only costs HK$22 per person( get an octopus card from the MTR counter located at the center of Hall A), and the ride is about 40 minutes. (Get off the plane and exit Hall A and follow the bus sign and take the bus.) The entrance of the Sha Tin Park is located on the left on the first floor of the hotel. When we were there on April 20th, the park had a BonSai Exhibit in the park's gallery. It was an excellent, awesome surprise to see so many BonSai plants in the garden. There was a toilet flushing problem in our room. My son called the main number. A housekeeper responded immediately and came to our room to check for the problem then she referred the situation to the engineering dept. A repairman came right away and changed a new flushing gesture right away. The whole process took less than 10 minutes, it's extremely efficient. It was a good choice to pick the Royal Park Hotel this time for our HK trip. We will definitely stay in this hotel when we visit HK in the coming years.

Great Stay! Great Location! Great Service!”

Location, Staff & Service

This is the first time my husband and I went to Hong Kong for our vacation out of the country. I was a bit worried because I am not sure where is the best place to stay and how to go around Hong Kong. I have heard that Taxis can be very expensive and we are not used to taking the bus. So the only option is via MTR. My sister recommended Royal Park to us since she and her family have been staying with Royal Park a number of times already. She has nothing but praises and tips when staying in Royal Park and in all her stays she has never encountered any problems. So I booked Royal Park here in Agoda and mentioned some requests like the bed type and non-smoking rooms be provided to us. We had a very early flight and arrived at the hotel around 11AM which is way before check-in time. I went to the reception and registered. We were advised to leave our bags so we can explore Hong Kong while waiting for the 3PM check-in. I was asked if we were on our honeymoon and I said no, just for vacation. We were registered and I was told to come back to reception to get the keys from 3PM onwards. The reception and concierge staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were able to explore Hong Kong and got back to the hotel around 7PM already. There are now different set of reception staff so I approached a random staff and gave her my Agoda printout. She checked on the computer and I saw that she went to a pile of neatly arranged keys and got the one for us which has a note attached to it. We were advised that all our requests were approved and we were given a room upgrade! She then asked us what time we want our complimentary red wine to be brought up to our room! Our tired feet forgotten, hubby and me were so happy! In our 3D2N stay, we had the convenience to have access to quite a number of interconnected malls and to the MTR! Hassle free stay! We had a wonderful stay and would stay at Royal Park again on our next trip to Hong Kong.

Royal Park Hotel”

High standard, good quality and good hotel condition.

I had really enjoyed my stay at Royal Park. Firstly, it is easily accessible to anywhere, to whatever tourist attractions. It had 2 bus interchanges nearby and is also about 5 to 10 mins walk away from the Sha Tin MTR station. 2 direct buses to travel to the airport could be found at the bus stop just directly outside the main entrance. New town plaza had a direct link to the hotel which I find it so convenient that after shopping you could get back to the hotel rest a little and get going again. The hotel staff are polite, greeted us with a smile every morning, helpful and try their very best to fulfill your request, in terms of the type of room you want to stay in. Free wifi in the hotel is really important for a traveler as in case he needed to contact anyone and since is not as feasible to purchase prepaid cards for mobile phone. Free shuttle to Tsim Sha Tsui, doing a great favor to tourist. If I would to be travel back to Hong Kong, I would stay in Royal Park Hotel again.

Great at Royal Park Hotel”

Location, Spacious, Comfortable

We had a great stay at Royal Park Hotel, the hotel is linked at the 3rd floor to New Town Plaza mall which was huge and have all the big brand names. Just keep walking straight and you'll reach Sha Tin MTR. The room is spacious for Hong Kong standard, as I've tried other hotels nearer to town and those were really small and squeezy. We stayed at a triple room and I would say it is value for money. We chose this hotel as it is convenient when we wanted to travel to Shenzhen on MTR via Lo Wu. However, it is a little further from the main shopping area like TST, Mongkok as we need to do some train transfers to get to those places. Another incident to mention was the door was faulty and we could open it from outside without the key card after closing. We only tried the door on the second day and discovered that it was faulty, we had no idea if our room was unlocked when we went out on the previous day or the problem just occurred on the day itself. The chambermaid happened to be just a few rooms away when we tried to get help, she called the technician and the issue was resolved in 10min. The hotel left a letter to apologise and said they'll send us fruits but it did not happen. Other than this incident, our stay was really pleasant and I'll recommend the hotel to anyone who do not mind it being a bit further from the main shopping area.

Further out but well worth the effort”

Location (next to MTR and good shopping); Size of rooms (much larger than standard room sizes in Kowloon and HK Island); Views (great views of river and mountains).

We were pleasantly surprised at the positive attitude of all hotel staff with whom we came in contact. Reception, concierge and restaurant staff were all very helpful and made our stay a memorable one. Having spent time in Hong Kong previously and having been disappointed in room sizes and facilities at other hotels and locations, I was very glad we chose the Royal Park Hotel and the Sha Tin area, both of which exceeded our expectations. You can literally walk from the hotel, across a connecting covered bridge and into an air conditioned world of first class shopping, food and restaurants, with the MTR virtually 'attached'. Alternatively, an early morning stroll along the local river banks, outside the air con cocoon, revealed a fascinating world of locals participating in Tai Chi, bicycle riding and jogging, with many keen rowing teams also observed.

Comfortable hotel, a place to come back”

Great, obliging service. Not too oversized tourism hotel. Quiet environment.

My second time at this hotel. This time I booked an executive room which seems to be almost similar to the "normal" room last time but on the 14th floor with access to the Upper Lounge in the 16th. Breakfast was included but I prefer to take it at the 2+2 cafe among the other hotel guests. The mini-bar was free, a great additional benefit. Furthermore complimentary broadband internet access in the room. So a great offer and no additional charges. The health club with gym and swimming pool I didn't use but left a good impression. Breakfast was ok, of course not the same extended offer of a top and premium class hotel. I tried the dinner buffet - the place became a crowdy one because a lot of Hong Kong Chinese from outside came over. It seems Hong Kong Chinese love buffet offers ;-) But for my taste the food was not exceptional. It was ok but I had better offers at other places. Generally the service by the staff at Royal Park Hotel is great and obliging. They are very kind and friendly. And I like the location of the hotel, even it is not really downtown and close to the other tourist places. But I prefer the hotel not too oversized. The atmosphere is quiet, not too crowded and not too hectic. A nice place to relax. Of course it will change when you go to the big shopping mall "New Town Plaza" close-by where you will also find the next MTR station "Shatin". So the location is not that bad as you have access to other parts of Hong Kong by the MTR. Finally I am sure that I will come back!

Clean, spacious room; attached to MTR and mall”

indoor access to MTR and shopping mall; American sized rooms

extremely nice hotel, especially if you can get it at a good rate. the hotel is attached to a large shopping mall (new town plaza) which in turn is attached to the sha tin mtr. the mall has literally scores of restaurants and food court stalls. tried the hotel breakfast/lunch buffet (good variety, average quality, somewhat pricey), recommend the mall offerings instead. room was american sized (queen bed, lounge couch, desk, walking space) rather than hong kong sized (bed, desk, standing room). "normal" western hotel washroom instead of the glass-walled ones. front desk service was excellent. on the first day, room service came to clean at 9am (too early for me), and back later in the afternoon to try again, but i found the do not disturb and "please make room" signs to manage that for the rest of my stay. note, sha tin area isn't that convenient if you need to go to hong kong island regularly (two line changes).

OUTSTANDING”

Thank you to the Royal Park Hotel for an exceptional stay. We spent tree nights at this hotel and caught the bus A41 from and to the airport with no problems at all. The hotel is lined to an amazing shopping centre with all you could need or want. If you want to go further around Hong Kong the Metro station is a short walk away and very easy to use and locate. We went all over HK from this hotel with ease and it was great to return to the hotel for a comfortable nights sleep at the end of very busy days. We returned to the hotel after a two week visit to Vietnam to collect the luggage and shopping we had left. I had a parcel delivered to the hotel and on my arrival it was waiting for me together with the rest of our stooped luggage. We had a short stop over and the hotel allowed us to use their shower facilities before returning to the airport. The friendly smiles and very helpful staff all made for an exceptional stay. i would not stay anywhere else in Hong Kong and will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone lucky enough to visit this exciting city. THANK YOU again Royal Park Hotel and staff.

Exceptional”

Everything was excellent except for the location. It is a bit far from major attractions however, it is very convenient to commute. It has a bus stop right in front of the hotel and the other bus stop (Sha Tin Bus Terminus) is just a 5-10 min walk. I recommend you download the Hong Kong Transportation apps as they are very helpful in commuting. It is also very near shopping malls and MTR station. One more thing, we lost our key card but they did not charge us. Thank you, Royal Park Hotel. I would surely go back to this hotel.

Great Hotel with Great prices”

Price wise, direct access from airport, room was great

this was my first stay in hong kong. heard from some of my friends experience from about the hotels in hk which are very small, and walking distance from mtr, and how gonna b a problem if it is raining. yet, all these were no issue, as royal park is located above the mtr, inside newtown mall (but around 5 minutes in mall walking) . the room was huge, as we got a room upgrade, the view was breathtaking...the weather was amazing! cons, sha tin mtr, is quite far from the hustle buste of city life as mongkok, kowloon, tsimtsathui or causeway bay.... but worth every penny!!!! thumbs up!!

Exceptional”

We lived in Hong Kong for 2 years, got to know Kowloon really well because our son went to the Australian International School in HK (in Kowloon Tong) which is only 2 stations away from this location. Shatin shopping centre is excellent, has everything from shopping to good restaurants now there is even an cinema. This hotel is connected to Shatin Newtown Plaza shopping centre. Also the train line is excellent in connection to other underground trains (change at Kowloon Tong). There is no need to get a taxi or catch the MTR (their train system) from to the airport, just use the A41 bus which goes to the aiport and A41 bus stop is outside the hotel. Kowloon has so much to offer, Hong Kong island is too congested. Royal Park Hotel being a little bit out, the rooms are huge compared to most hotels (not just by HK standard). We only stay there now when we visit Hong Kong.

Excellent!!!”

I was traveling Hong Kong during September 2016 and staying there for 10 days (10th-20th September 2016, room 830 and 828). In overall, I would say it's excellent! NO regret in staying there! You may access the Sha Tin MTR within 5 minutes walk away thru the link-way between the hotel and the New town Plaza. You may also easily shop whatever you needed in there plus the dental clinic and the polyclinic just within the walk by distance. I am so grateful that my youngest kid can easily go to the the pediatrician because he was feeling unwell during the stay. It's so easy to access all the amenities without worry the weather out there as it's all link up together! Besides, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the staffs there as they are skillful, friendly and helpful. My youngest kid was vomiting two times in bed at midnight during the stay and they just cleaned up within a few minutes! Bravo! I had tried the Chinese restaurant and the food it's tasty and the attendants are so friendly and made us having a wonderful time dining in there. The gym is brand new and well equipped and the swimming pool is awesome as it's indoor / outdoor swimming pool and my kids are loving it so much as they could still enjoy it during the rainy days! In summary, I will definitely be recommending it to those in need and for sure I definitely stay again when back in Hong Kong. Keep up the good work guys!

Nice and clean hotel with very good service”

Clean, nice interior room hotel, good room equipment (incl. iphone/ipod docking), helpful staff, connected to mall (MRT also connected to mall), bus stop in front of hotel (incl. bus to airport frequency every 20 minutes)

Hotel staff: - Receptionist & Front office: speaks English, deposit using credit card, fast check-in & check-out process (they also tear my credit card slip when checked-out to ensure no additional charging from hotel). they are helpful (answer many questions, give guidance how to get to our destination, even walk with me to bus stop just to show where exactly the place to wait). - Most of staff are polite Room - Nice interior, many lights (incl reading light on bed), good wallpaper, looks modern. No smell, clean rooms, clean sheets & towel, change everyday. Air-con & all equipments (TV, refrigerator, safe deposit box, hair dryer, ipod docking etc) & lights work well. Good glass table. No stain. No bugs. quiet. Springbed not soft. - Nice & clean bath room with bathtub, also towel and amenities. Good shower water pressure, no smell Location - connected to big mall from 3rd floor (newtown mall) and the MTR Sha Tin connected to mall. bus stop just in front of hotel (include bus to airport, every 20 minutes). Journey to East Tsim Tsa Tsui MTR station from MTR Sha Tin about 12 minutes. Others : - have many lift, always available (less wait time), using secure card/room key Overall : Very good hotel with good service. Nice interior, equipment and clean room. will recommend to friends. Although located in new territories, but surrounded by mall, MTR, and only 12 minutes to East TST (much better than stay in very crowded area like TST, Kowloon, Mongkok). Review from Agoda (and about this hotel is good)

Hong Kong in style”

Room comfort and cleanliness, buffet breeakfast, bamboo garden

This was our first ever visit to Hong Kong and we were recommended the Royal Park by a local. Everything lived up to expectation from the moment we entered our room. We had hoped that coming from the UK and arriving at the Royal Park at midday we may have been lucky to check into our room straight away being tired and in desperate need of a freshen up, however we were told we would have to wait until 3pm which was disappointing. Once we had fully checked in though, we were very pleased with the service the food and the luxury of our twin room. (We had booked a double but were told there were none available on the day we arrived.) The staff were very friendly; helpful and quick to please except in the bar, where service was very slow. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would certainly use the Royal Park again if we were to return to Hong Kong.

decided to stay in royal park hotel after many great reviews of the hotel. although the hotel is stationed far away from the airport, the hotel is very near new town plaza, which is one of the biggest shopping mall around hong kong. it is also very near mtr station sha tin which is within 5 mins walk and is link to the mall all the way to the hotel. room is very spacious and comfortable, lighting of the room makes it especially pleasant and cosy to stay in. will stay there again if i would be travelling to hong kong again.

First impression lasts.”

First, awesome location and near MTR, Second, shopping is great and Third, very considerate hotel staff.

Our stay at Royal Park hotel was awesome, enjoyable and exciting. The location was a few reasonable walk to the MTR station, Sha Tin and the networked shopping boutiques were a few walks away. This was quite practical for first timers who would like to visit Hongkong. The value was costly but the practicality outweighed it. What i really appreciated was the very accommodating female receptionist who were on duty last September 8, 2014. She allowed us to be in the room assignment earlier than the expected time. That kind of gesture was highly commendable and that kind of act impressed me most. Hoping to check in again with Royal Park. Excellent job guys.

All you could ask or want in a VFM hotel”

Nice rooms, great view, attached shopping mall

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. We researched our options well and settled on Royal Park and we will choose this hotel again when visiting HK. It is centrally located, close to Sha Tin MTR and the airport bus A41 stops right in-front of the hotel. Also, the excellent and huge New Town Plaza mall is attached to this hotel so you have never have to worry about food or shopping. The rooms are decently appointed, clean and comfortable. Our room had a great view of the park and river across the hotel. The hotel staff speak English (mostly) and are attentive to your requests. The hotel offers value for money dining options though we did not try. Why would you...when you have an affordable food paradise that is HK right at your door-step? :)

Best Hotel for Solo Traveler”

Location, Buffet Breakfast, Staff

I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Park Hotel. I was traveling alone and the staff was exceptional. Helping me with anything I requested or inquired about. I loved the hotel is located next to Shatin Park. I took walks every morning along the river and loved watching the locals participating in Tai Chi all through the park. Having the Shatin train station located in the New Town Plaza which is connected to the hotel is such a convenience with seeing Hong Kong sites! I had a fabulous time in Hong Kong and the Royal Park Hotel helped this to be a great vacation.

Great Hong Kong getaway”

We came for a one night stay with a group of friends, and had a nice stay at Royal Park. It is ridiculously hard to find a nice hotel with a pool at a reasonable rate in HK. Either the hotel is run down, in a bad spot or the rooms are tiny. At Royal Park the rooms are huge, and spotlessly clean. The pool area with sauna is just wonderful, and the hotel is attached to a mall with loads of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores nearby. We all felt it was a great mid-week deal. The location is pretty far from central Hong Kong, but the amenities more than make up for it. Its totally worth it to have a comfortable stay!

A hotel away from the downtown concrete jungle”

location, greenery refreshing

This trip to Hong Kong,I had decided to make a change from the past, move away from downtown Tsim Shai Tsui to a more relax location. I was greatly surprised by the large room offered by this hotel. General hotels in Hong Kong have rather small room. Park hotel is ideal if one is looking for some greenery instead of the concrete jungle .Although it is located far from down town on the Northern side of the Kowloon territory and near the Shenzhen boarder. Hong kong has one of the best rail/and mass transit system. Transit time from hotel to down town is a bliss. The 45 min to n hour ride provides an opportunity to experience the sight and sound of the normal Hong Kong life. Shopping: This hotel is connected to the largest shopping mall serving the Satin district. Pricing is better. Food around the hotel is a gourmets centre.
