Gem Garden Oasis with Supreme Location”
As you sit at breakfast on a deck overlooking lush, manicured gardens and the mountains beyond, it’s easy to forget that bustling Patong is out the front door. This hotel is truly a gem and one of a kind as its architecture and grounds beckon back to a yet-to-be-discovered Phuket. Traditional Thai architecture, ornate details, beautiful teal wood finishes and the extraordinary gardens (complete with koi pond) make this feel more like staying in an upscale Thai home than merely an hotel. We loved it so much, we extended our stay by three days. Every room on the property has its own outside table and chairs for lounging and rooms with their own balcony are situated to overlook the lush gardens. The grounds must be some of the finest in Patong with species of plants we had never seen before and orchids growing like little color bursts in surprising places. The pool is lovely and low key....no party music blaring., just serenity with a nice breeze that seems to always find its way through the open breezeway reception into the open, inner sanctum courtyard that all rooms face. The staff is incredibly accommodating and eager to please with newly-appointed manager, Max, at the helm. We had two great meals at La Boucherie — the property’s French-inspired restaurant (full menu offers Thai and American options too, but after weeks of Thai food we savored the cheese plate with beautiful French cheeses). The location is steps from the beach and a couple blocks from Bangla Road. The only drawback is the pool bar of the hotel next door that blares rap/dance party music Saturday night and beginning at 1pm Sunday. Just plan to be off the property at these times if noise is a concern. We have stayed in many hotels in Patong and this gem garden oasis will be our go-to accommodation moving forward.
Quiet but near the craziness”
Nice, clean, but it should be noted there are NO elevators, just stairs to 3rd floor. You are on your own carrying luggage if a porter isn't there. Be SURE to inspect EVERYTHING, every drawer, everything because there is a penalty charge list for which you will be accountable if ANYTHING isn't 100% perfect. All of staff were extremely nice and helpful except for a heavyset guy at night. Would return and recommend.
The room is very clean and nice! Nice pool! Very helpful and friendly staff! The food is really nice! Near to patong beach just a few minutes away and Bangla Road! I will definitely go back to Phuket and will definitely stay at this hotel!
Old, moldy and ridiculously loud”
Our room smells like urine and mildew. Next door there is a pool bar that blares rap music from 1pm until 11pm (as far as we experienced) accompanied by a DJ on a microphone shouting profanities along with the music that is so loud it feels like our room was literally on top of the loud speakers. The breakfast is the worst we’ve had in our 6 weeks in Thailand and this is by far the lowest value for the $ place we’ve stayed. Our room is worth less than half what we paid for it. The staff is kind and tries to make up for worn out facilities and poor neighbors as best they can. But when you can’t hear yourself think over the noise pollution, it’s tough to pull this establishment out of its nose dive.
Lovely pool and garden, great location ”
Great place to stay-quiet street but still close to shops & beach (2 min walk); nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Only negatives for us were the very limited breakfast (choose only one item from 3 on the menu-buffet would have been better) and getting hit with the 18% Thai hotel tax-we should have booked from Australia. This made it a bit expensive.
Amazing place amazing staff!!”
Greeted with a cold flannel ,a cocktail and a very warm welcome , it was very clean , the pool was fantastic , the staff were all helpful and made you feel at home!! The lady in the restaurant was lovely and was like a friend to me we had many laughs together and she looked after me very well . I will definitely return again.from the UK.
One of the very few Thai themed hotels in Patong. Nice swimming pool, garden, clean and well organized rooms. Hotel staff are well trained and managed. Will definitely recommend! 4+ star hotel!
The hotel is nice, but it is a bit old, must be done a lot of the changes. The garden is amazing. Rooms are ok. Pool is very nice. But still , its missing spirit in this amazing place. Changes must be done
Nice hotel. Only negative was having the hotel call us a taxi. I thought we would just pay the taxi driver rate but the hotel was determining the rate that was higher than what the taxi driver wanted/expected. He tried to get the hotel to lower the rate to what was expected but they refused. So call your own taxi.
Royal Phawadee Village Patong”
This is a nice hotel and is conveniently located. Pool is a bit small and there is no elevator but at least they have people available to help you with your luggage. I booked a suite room overlooking the pool and it was very nice and spacious. Would absolutely stay here again.
Great Place to Stay ”
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It is easy to walk to the beach in a couple minutes and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel has a pleasant atmosphere so easy to relax. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They do allow unregistered guests to stay, but there is an extra charge of 1000 baht per night if I remember correctly. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The only issue I could see some people having is that the WiFi is not good or does not work at all during bad weather and that the rooms do not keep out noise from the outside so you will hear people outside or the hotel next to this one if they are having a party or people are laud there. Other than that I have not issue with this hotel and would gladly stay there again and recommend it to friends.
Very clean hotel, obliging staff, far enough away from the madness to be quiet at night, but close enough for you to walk there should you want it. Only downside was that the WiFi didn't work in our room but it did in reception and want a major concern to us anyway. We would happily stay there again.
The hotel is nice. The staff are very helpfull But be aware this hotel don't have a lift. We stay in the deluxe suite which is located in the 3rd floor. Next door hotel is under construction. The noise during the day is terrible. Breakfast need more option. Bacon, sosis, ham & eggs every day. Just 1 menu they change from fried rice, fried noodle and pourige. Day 1 had a broken shower and they can not do fixing until the morning after. Day 3 the phone is not working. Day 6 the water stop completely. They need to go back to gix it about 3 times so my family can finish showering. But the gesture is GREAT. They gave us free absolutely fabilous free dinner. But after all that. We do have a great time, thanks to the staff that so much helpfull. They try their best to make do with every thing that need tobe replace.
A Quiet Oasis away from the craziness of Patong ”
Loved the tranquility of this hotel, the beautiful gardens are a great way to relax away from craziness of the streets. The breakfast was lovely, not the full buffet we are used to but a choice of 3 set menus, all large enough. There was a small buffet of yogurts, fruit & breads. We had a standard room which was a good size, clean with a separate toilet & bathroom. The pool was one of the cleanest we had seen on our travels this time. There is a lot of construction going on along the street & next to this hotel which is creating noise during the day.
We are so pleased on our stay on this hotel, the staffs are so friendly and helpful and the check-in was so quick.,The garden setting of the hotel feels like you're just in your own home,so peaceful and quite although there's mosquito's at night time but that's not really an issue coz you can always buy insect repellent at the 24hrs convenient stores located around the area.,the location is so perfect for all the island has to offer.,we will definitely stay here again on our future holidays.
Too many mosquitoes”
It was ok, but there were simply too many mosquitoes. Depending on timings, the pool may be very dirty. In 1 day, probably 10 mosquitoes got myself alone. Staff were warm and courteous, and you have to exercise your bargaining skill to get a good price. Staff reacted to mosquito problem by giving us mosquito lotion.
Relaxing place in a hustling town”
As a returning guest at the Phawadee, I always enjoy the peaceful and simple comfort of the rooms. It is close to the beach and to several good restaurants. I hope the new management keeps up with the special spirit and the tradition of quality and simplicity of service that has been the trademark of this place for the past years, as opposed to transforming it into just one of many tourist hotels in Phuket.
Always a good experience”
The hotel is still undergoing construction following fire damage a few months ago. As a result not all facilities were in their usual standing nor as fully pleasant as usual. The staff is still as dedicated as in my prior stays and the inconveniences are temporary. Rooms are still very comfortable and the location is perfect. I will be back
very central but very quiet”
This hotel is perfect for those who seek a quiet stay in the middle of a very crowded and wild town. Hotel has a lovely garden with many trees and it makes you forget where you are for a moment. I highly recommend this hotel for singles or couples alike.
Great location and close to the beach”
Lovely garden, clean and spacious rooms, very good service. Hotel was suffering renovation work as well as construction work nearby but didn't bother too much at the end. Only 5 min walk to the beach. Restaurants, Spas, Shopping, Nightlife all in walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't want to spend too much money.
