3 night stay around Grand Palace and Khao San Road”
Great hotel, efficient always friendly staff (which is hard to find these days in Thai accommodations). Spacious room, airconditioning not noisy and great cooling down. Breakfast as well good value for money. Swimming pool nice to be around with its sunbeds. Only 1 point of criticism: why has the poil area to be xlosed and guests chased away at already 6 pm when it is still light and early? Why not e.g. 7.30 pm??
Great location. Parking is quite well for local Thai. Tourists who expect to enter the Royal palace , this hotel is best. No electric kettle in the room. If you want to drink hot water just bring with you the thermos in your room walk to the corridor near lift zone. There s a big pot serviced.
Close to Grand Palace & Wat Phra Khiew”
We needed to come back from Pattaya for at least one day to provide my cousins a tour of the most beautiful temple complex in all of Thailand. Since my wife and I had stayed here before, it was a natural location for site seeing. We had several issues with the hotel. The first, we had paid for Grand Double Deluxe Rooms. We were given one but my cousin and his wife got this room that would be hard to pass for a 'standard' room. My wife took on the Lead Reception person and got them to change the room to something more appropriate. He said the rooms were both the same but anyone would have been able to see the difference. They had thermos' in each room and hot water out by the elevator. BUT NO COFFEE OR COFFEE CUPS in the rooms.
Good room, a little old but okay”
The room is nice, but as the hotel has been founded for quite long. However, bath tub is quite small. Parking is okay, old and dark but okay.
Royal Rattanakosin Hotel”
It's a great and respected hotel. Stayed over to participate in the BDMS Bangkok Marathon 2018 the next day. Also went to AFF Championship Thailand Vs Indonesia. Great transportation to the hotel, very convenient. The only problem is the Reception, very slow and everyone was waiting to check in even though a lot of use have already booked in advance. I waited about 20 mins just to check in!
Very convenient and reasonably priced”
This large hotel is very well placed for the attractions around the Grand Palace and close to Kho San Road. The staff are very helpful and polite. There is a buffet breakfast with a huge choice ...mainly catering for Chinese guests but including western options with plenty of fresh fruit. There is a swimming pool. Hairdryer upon request. Very good for the price.
Breakfast to bad only for chine not for europa guest ”
I just can say area good personel not frendly breakfast to bad when you want go with aut breakfast book better
Very enjoyable stay”
Everything was good about my stay, one issue was a lady member of staff at reception was rude and very abrupt when I was asking for some information. If the lady in question cannot deal with customers requests then perhaps she should change her job. To conclude ,I enjoyed my stay except for this one incident
i rushed book it before we fly to Bangkok from Phuket . We didnt feel comfortable coz the room is old and i dont like the smell ( even the bathroom ) Theres a wifi but you have to change the password from time to time ( and if you already used the password they gave , you have to go down again to the front desk to ask for new password ) The morning bfast is buffet , but i dont taste good . The staff are not so friendly ( only the guard is good who gives us a tip not to pick up tuk tuk in front of hotel cz they are over pricing ). Most of the guests are non manners chinese. The only good thing was theres a 7/11 near the hotel . You can walk up to grand palace though its a bit far. One thing for sure is .. we will never come back again here and cannot recommend with friends .
What I expected for the price ”
Pros - clean large room with comfortable bed. Decent breakfast with a variety to choose from. Efficient friendly staff. Close to riverfront, Grand Palace and Khaosan Rd. 7/11 one minute walk. Cons - Many large Chinese tour groups. Pushy overpriced tuk-tuk drivers right outside the hotel. Tiny lift. Smoking outdoors with no seating area so if you smoke you have to smoke in front of the main entrance doors. Hot water not available on all floors.
Nice and clean hotel near Khao San and Grand Palace ”
The room was really clean all the time and the staff was friendly. The beds are really hard so that's a minus. Pool was nice and breakfast was OK. Location is pretty good if you want to hand around in khao san and go see the temples and Grand Palace. No skytrain or metro nearby so keep that in mind. Taxis are dearly cheap though.
Good for business at Ramintra”
Pro: Good location near big department store and opposite of the convenient store, some restaurants, sport club. All staffs are so nice and friendly. Valuable for the price Con : a bit slowly drain down the basin.
Bad in anyway ”
Too much for tired old hotel”
Probably a great hotel in its day. Way nicer places to stay for less.
Old hotel ”
it's too noisy at night and facility is too old. it's location is very good for tour, taxi, grab and walk. no security box. no hair dryer ( u can borrow it from desk ) no toothpaste & brush soap. hair cap. shampoo included. u must say for swimming pool view, it is very important for silent room. breakfast is good for us. western and thai-food supported.
Its just Ok if you just need room for a night store your stuff”
The staff are not helpful, if i want a cab ive to call grab. You cannot expect the staff to do the effort of doing it. I dont feel like a guest in this hotel. The room has a certain old hotel into it. My flighy was still night time, you have to pay 700bbaht if you request a late check out and I paid 30 baht to keep my luggage at the hotel. Its not like any other hotel ive been to.
It was very dirty. Mould almost everywhere in the bathroom. Checked in at midnight. Staff was not very helpfully. Aircon was often not working. And the worst thing was founding a ladies hygine article in the shower!!! Just to cover a hole and mould. Disgusting. Never ever would stay there again. The only positve thing was the free water and the location. But do not go there . I can not belive they got 4*... not for that hole!!!
Dont expect to much but works for a night or two”
This is a ok hotel, no more, no less. Its a big hotel and not very personal. The staff is also nothing special. The location is kinda good with walking distance to restaurants. We can recommend it if you dont ask to much, Cheap price, good beds. Thats enough for us.
Its directly Khao San Road, which is a plus point if partying is your thing. But the down side is that it isnt near to any malls if shopping is what you're looking for. Definitely value for money though
Location is nearest of Sanam Luang which are the Royal Palace, Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho. 10 mins to Khao San Road, 15 mins to Bangkok Metropolitan Hall and 10 mins to Thammasat University by walk.
