It's just north of the main step but an easy walk.
Quiet location, has a laundry, pool spa and Gym and free parking, all you need. Nice big rooms. Can open door for fresh air. Not modern but suited us very well.

It was spacious and nice
It was so big for two people and we loved that. But the wifi isn't free and that really sucks. It's usually free at other hotels.

The hotel is in a cool location. A little north of the strip. But, as long as it's not 90000 Degrees outside, you can take a leisurely walk throughout the strip. There's not casino/slots or anything in this location, but that's what i wanted. It's close to Restaurants, and right across the street from Ross Dress for Less, so if you forgot an outfit or two, you can easily walk right across the street and find something else. I'd stay here again. The place is a bit dated (tubed TV's) but who watches TV anyways in Vegas. I love the fact that the rooms have Balconies that you can actually sit on and take in the views. If you are looking for chocolates on your pillow at night with your 1000 Thread count sheets.... this is NOT the place for you. But if you are a no frills kind of person like me, who just wants a clean room and a pool this is the place. The ONLY negative was that you must PAY EXTRA to use their Wifi.... but... I have a mobile Hot-Spot on my phone, so i just used my own wifi to go online. Not a big deal for Me... but something other travelers may want to know.

Above average
Hotel is nice enough and ok value for how far it is from the main strip. Pool is nice and the room is a good size. Room didn't get cleaned twice out of 4 days. Also they charge for daily internet. Was quite annoying.

Nasty outdated hotel
The hotel is very outdated, nothing like the photos, and smells nasty, the only good thing was the location.

Very good
Free parking, pool and spa was great for the long days shopping, rooms are abit dated but spacious balcony helps not feeling like your closed in , separate little kitchen area with microwave and small fridge and nice cool aircon when temps were around the 100+. Close to buses, monorail ,convention centre and lots of food choices close by recommend Dennys not normally a fan but the food was great ,service is good and we had two course meals with coffee and drinks for two 20% discout using Royal Resort Card cost around thirty dollars The resort has a restaurant which we thought was exspensive

Good enough for the budget traveller
Overall not a bad hotel. Free parking, no resort fees, pool and fitness room. Bad point's, have to pay for Wi-Fi, pool has no shade, but is open till midnight, so late swims on hot Vegas nites are nice. Decent size rooms, a bit dated. I'd stay again.

Good hotel close enough to the action of The Strip
I stayed at Royal Resort in October for 12 nights on my own and I was pleasantly surprised. I returned with my parents in May for 13 nights and again enjoyed my stay. I guess each person has their own experience, but it was nothing like some of the negative reviews I'd read. I've been to Vegas 12 times from Australia and have always stayed on The Strip. But with prices gone up as much as they have in the past couple of years, there's no way I'll be staying on The Strip again! Most people don't stay in Vegas for as long as I do, so I'm very budget conscious. I found the price very reasonable & there are no resort fees here, unlike hotels on The Strip. The Royal Resort also has no casino so is pretty quiet. You occasionally get loud guests, mostly on the weekends, but I slept rather soundly!! The pool area is nice and the location is actually very convenient to The Strip. You can walk to Fashion Show Mall in a leisurely 10 minutes and The Venetian is a 15 minute walk away. If you don't fancy walking, there is the Deuce bus stop on The Strip a couple of minutes walk away and the SDX bus stop is virtually outside the hotel. Across the road you have Ross Dress for Less, Denny's, The Peppermill, Walgreens and 7 Eleven which was very convenient. The room has a bar fridge so I always had drinks & fruit at hand. There is also a coffee machine for those that drink it. The restaurant isn't open for breakfast but it is for dinner. I found the room to be quite spacious with enough cupboard space, albeit very dated decor. The bed was comfy enough but the pillows were far too flat for my liking. I slept with 2 on top of each other to solve the problem! The tv has cable channels but who goes to Vegas to stay in their room & watch the box??!! The bathroom was rather small, but it served it's purpose. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The staff was always friendly, the room was cleaned properly and although it could really do with an update, it was great for the price. If you're on
