A very pleasant and memorable stay”

Great view, Very attentive staff, Large comfortable rooms

I just spent a long week in Macau in an apartment in the middle city and I was looking forward to some serious R & R in HK. I checked Agoda for hotels outside the city preferably near the ocean or mountains. This is when I found Royal View. It was a very quick ferry ride from Macau to HK port. Then a short walk to MTR Central stn and another 30 min ride to Tsuen Wan stn. At the station, I could not find the free shuttle to the hotel so I decided to take a taxi instead. Ride was a short 10 mins. First impressn was that this hotel has a spectacular view. It was nestled between the HK bay to the South and mountains to the North. There were about 5 people queued at the counter. One of the staff approached me and offered to seat in the lounge and personally processed the check in for me. The staff was courteous, helpful ,and attentive. I said that I was traveling alone and I had an overnight booking from Agoda. He said that he will try to look for a room with a single bed for me. He came back saying that they room is ready and that they have upgraded me from a Superior room to a special Suite. How awesome is that? I will try to keep this review as objective as possible. But I have to admit, I totally loved the upgrade. The suite was like a time share condominium. It came with modern designed pantry, living room, bedroom and a large bathroom. What really impressed me was the spacious wooden balcony that had the most beautiful garden, ocean and mountain view. That's why they named this the Royal View Hotel. I spent the rest of the afternoon watching boats sail across the harbor. At night, I had a very comfortable and restful sleep. When I woke up to checkout at 6am, a taxi was waiting to take me to the airport. Royal View gave me a very short but wonderful experience and this was exactly what I needed before going back to Manila. I look forward to taking my family there the next time I visit Hongkong. To the Royal View staff, a BIG hearty Thank you!

Great value hotel in green Tseun Wan”

The views of the water, bridges and countryside are beautiful, & rooms good quality
over priced, poor quality in room dining - but they now have a little shop where you can buy snacks

The Royal View in Tsuen Wan is my home in Hong Kong, I have stayed in both the serviced flats (suites) and the hotel and would highly recommend both. The rooms are well equipped, and nicely designed, and the views are amazing. I like staying here as it is in the countryside(ish) and away from the hustle and bustle, but still easy enough to access everything as there is the Tsuen Wan MTR, 5 - 10 mins away by shuttle bus or taxi. Last year the front desk was rather unorganised, but they seem to have improved a lot

Awesome Hotel and Staff”

Pros: -very accommodating staff -the room was very nice and they always clean it and change our towels everyday -their facilities are also awesome. They have a playroom if you’re travelling with kids, they also have a swimming pool and even steam and sauna bath! -was not able to bring an adaptor and they lend me one. They even asked how many do I need 😊 -internet connection was superb -breakfast buffet is good as well -shuttle service to and from tsuen wan station is always on time Cons: -the only problem is that the hotel is far from the nearest MTR station. The night we arrived (via HK International Airport) in Hong Kong we missed the shuttle bus because it only operates until 11pm so we have no choice but to ride a taxi which costs us 231HKD. And since we’re travelling with our daughter and will go to Macau after HK, we also had a hard time going to the ferry station since it’s also far from the hotel and we have big luggages. I guess, if you’re travelling solo and just packing for one, it wouldn’t be that hard to commute going to this hotel or if you have a budget to take a cab going and leaving the hotel then I think it’s okay to stay here. -it would be better if their toilet will have a bidet. Most of the hotels nowadays has one. Overall, our experience with this hotel was great! Will definitely come back when I visit Hong Kong again.

Exceptional”

Hotel is nice and clean and with beautiful view, about 10 minutes walk to the beach. Room is a bit bigger than your typical HK hotel room. Although there is no convenience stores/supermarkets or restaurants nearby, the hotel provides free shuttles to/from Tsuen Wan MTR station every 10-15mins from 7:00 am till 11:00pm. I stayed in the hotel for 4 weeks and I requested a quiet room and bigger bed, and they were able to meet my needs. Staff are attentive and friendly. The only thing I would suggest if they could let the guests who stay longer period of time to schedule room cleaning in advance instead of phoning the guest every day (I usually slept in and most of my activities started in the afternoon). All in all, I am satisfy my stay at royal view hotel, and would recommend this hotel to others.

GOOD STAY AGAIN”

Convenient Shuttle bus to MTR and shopping; staff always friendly and helpful; rooms and wi-fi quite nice

Once again, I had a very pleasant stay at the Royal View Hotel. The rooms are always nice and the staff pleasant, especially at front desk. One of the best things about this hotel, which is located a bit off the normal city roads, is the constant shuttle bus run to nearest MTR stations. For some reason, in February, the hotel elected to run shuttle only to ONE of the two MTR stations nearby -- leaving the better choice (Tsuen West Station) off the loop. This did prove inconvenient on several occasions, having to walk almost one kilometer back to the other, better station for city travel. Another good thing about Royal is the morning breakfast buffet they offer and the popular "afternoon tea" -- which essentially is like a lunch buffet in USA. The hotel does say they have two bars in operation, but often the "Cigar Bar" is not open. And on this trip, the only other bar (near hotel entrance) was operated by a disgruntled bartender for the first week who tried to close the place early at night despite the posted hours. Three times I was denied service despite arriving before closing hours. I let this go because I did arrive at bar maybe 20 minutes before closing, hoping for one night cap. Later, in 2nd week, a male bartender I recall from first visit took over and the hours resumed to normal, including allowing guests to FINISH what they ordered before kicking them out. The pool is a long narrow pool with shallow depth, so good for children if no swimmers wish to "exercise" back and forth. The gym is pleasant with good modern equipment. Unlike many Hong Kong hotels, Royal has a good FREE wifi connection in the rooms. I was there for 12 days, so I wanted to visit the laundromat on site but was told only guests who stay 30 days allowed to use, which was disappointing. But again, for the price and comfort, there are few deals in Hong Kong like Royal with the amenities offered and the ease of access to the MTR stations.

Very Satisfactory & Comfortable stay”

My family of 5 stayed in a Family Room fm 6th-12th Dec 2017. We arrived at the hotel at around 7am, checked in our luggages & waited at the lobby. Saw us very tired & sleepy, we were approached by a staff there (couldn't get his name!) & he brought us to a room (s'ware behind lobby) where there're few sofas & my 3 kids managed to take their naps there. Gladly, our room was ready by 12pm & we were happy to have a 19th-floor room with a nice mountain, highway & partly-beach view! The hotel provides Free shuttle service to & fro Tsuen Wan MTR station every 15-20 mins. Sometimes there are taxis standing by there which would cost u only about HKD50 to the MTR station. The staffs are friendly especially George Lee & this quite-plump bespectacled young man. If you prefer a peaceful, quiet , hassle-free environment, Royal View is the answer & I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends & family!

Great view, great service, but a bit far out. ”

I stayed here because I missed the last train home to Guangzhou. The price was fantastic (53 USD for a night). Especially for a room on the 16th floor with a fantastic view of the water and the hills on a day of clean air. The staff was fantastic, they all spoke great English (as to be expected in HK) and it took less than 2 minutes from showing up to being in my room. The whole hotel was superb in terms of cleanliness, design, even seeming quite hyper-clean in some places (like the elevator buttons). It's quite far out, so if you don't mind paying for taxi rides or if you have a driver, it's great to get away from the volume and light of Hong Kong and enjoy the peaceful silence of Tsuen Wan at night. It's about 65 HKD from Tai Wo Hau station via Taxi.

Good facility , good service and nice seaview”

Good facility , good service and nice seaview

Good facility , good services and nice seaview when we stayed in Royal View Hotel. It is nice place & superior room facilities that we enjoyed in hotel. It is very easy to take shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan MTR station where you could go everywhere in Hong Kong and enjoy the shopping & harbour night view in Tsim Sha Tsui or Central. Next Time I would prefer to stay here as it is best price for the value.

Very lovely hotel at a good price”

Very good value for money

The Royal View Hotel is out of town but the hotel has a free shuttle bus that will take you either to the MTR (Railway Station)in about 8 minutes or into Tsim Sha Shui (City Centre) in about 40 minutes. Due to being out of town, the price is extremely good. It is a lovely 4 star hotel that is relatively new and not 'tired' like some of the 4 star hotels in the city. It has a great feel about it. It is definitely good value for money. I have stayed in about half a dozen of the Hong Kong city hotels and a city hotel of the same standard would cost 2 -3 times the amount of the Royal View. I would highly recommend the hotel but remember you are out of town even to the extent of the nearest shops/ restaurant (except for the hotel restaurant) are 8 minutes away by free shuttle bus. We did not find it a hassle. We would buy our breakfast the night before and have it on our room in the morning and then we would be out and about all day and so eat in the city centre or wherever we happened to be and then head back to the hotel about 10.30 at night to sleep.

great experience and great stay”

free shuttle services, friendly staff and clean room

Royal View Hotel is really the hotel i expected for for my family. it was our first trip in hongkong and this hotel offer free shuttle bus from Tsuen Wan MTR, so we do not have to spend money for taxi fares. the hotel itself is equipped with a large swimming pool, a fitness center and a kid's place. we all avail all those amenities and we loved it. they also have friendly english speaking staff. i will highly recommend this hotel to travelers especially those who want a safer place for their kids. i do not want to stay in a crowded hotel with crowded environment.

Comfortable and spacious room at good rates”

Nice and comfortable room, peaceful environment and near to the sea, free ferry service to nearest mtr station and tsim sha tsui
It would be great if the free ferry service can extend to 12am.

Wonderful! Comfortable and spacious room at affordable rates. Nice sea view too and the environment around the hotel is very peaceful. Some might find the location too far from the city but it's not as bad as you think. The hotel provides free ferry service to Tsim Sha Tsui (20 to 30 mins ride) and the nearest MTR station, Tseun Wan (10 mins ride). The hotel is also near to other attractions in Hong Kong, like Noah's Ark, Disneyland and Ngong Ping 360. I would definitely stay in Royal View on my next trip.

Private and quiet hotel”

Good view, more privacy and provides shuttle to metro station.

My wife's family decided to have a family reunion in Hong Kong for 5 days and chose this hotel because of the referral of a friend. We all booked the superior room types and glad its not that bad based on previous reviews I've read. This is enough to accommodate 4 persons as they have folding sofa bed. The room is neat, clean and nice. All of us stayed in a non-smoking room on the top most floor which is 18/19. These 2 floors are connected to each other, there's a short stair for you to go down on the 18th and stair going up to 19th from the elevators. I just found this a bit awkward and inconvenient because if you have a heavy luggage, you have to pull it up or down manually. We have a nice view of the mountains and roads from the back of the hotel and some of our relatives have the bridge and the beach view. Good for taking pictures. Also we really find the microwave helpful, it'll save you lot of money for left over foods from your dine-outs from those delicious chinese restaurants. It's a bit disappointing as the food on their - only one - restaurant aren't satisfying. I highly suggest if you could bring some light snacks just to cover your hunger, better do it. The hotel is 20-30 minutes drive away from the airport and cost us 180hkd total from the green taxi. Me and my wife preferred to take cab as we have heavy luggage. The metro is tourist friendly. Its easy for you to have connecting metro stations from airport going to Tsuen Wan station where you can find their shuttle bus going to hotel which takes 15 minutes to hotel. They have provided timings of the bus on the posts. The hotel is far from the main landmarks. If you are on a business trip, or want more privacy and quiet area, I highly recommend this hotel. Anyway, they always have a service going to metro station within few minutes if you have plans to go around hong kong.

Practical hotel”

It’s in Lantau island, a bit far from Tsuen Wan MTR. Good thing they have free shuttle service every 15 min, from hotel to Tsuen Wan station from 7am - 11pm strictly. Room is clean, a bit spacious for family of four. Not much movie channel available. Breakfast is decent. Hotel offer us free breakfast for the entire stay since we missed our first day due to our flight. Pool wasn’t open when the weather is called. 5 minutes away by walking, from ting kau or lido beach with a great view and facilities. And it’s free. View from our room is ocean, quality hotel and budget friendly. Recommended when “on sale” the housekeeping don’t change bed and pillow covers. Bring your own toiletries they just provide toothbrushes, shampoos sanitary plastic. No I’m-room microwave

Really enjoyed my stay”

The last hotel I stayed at in Hong Kong got a horrible review. This one was MUCH better. Rooms and all facilities were nice. A short walk down the steps to the beach and only a short bus ride to Tsuen Wan Center. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus ever few minutes to Tsuen Wan MTR. Pool was great and WIFI was fast. Definitely stay again.

Royal View Hotel”

Hotel's interiors are very modern yet warm. Rooms are spacious and free baby cot upon request.
Location is a big con but there's a shuttle service available every 15 minutes that takes you to the nearest mall/mtr station, so it's not big of a deal.

Except for the location, there's nothing else I could comment about Royal View Hotel in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. Lobby is perfectly inviting with its modern design, the same with the room that we stayed in, and the staff are all accomodating. My kids even played a day at the playroom with daycare service, making our stay a different experience from other hotels. However, speaking of 'different', the hotel is situated in a not so convenient location thus making it a big consideration for our next time's visit to HK.

high standard in a quiet yet close to city area”

view, room quality and spas

The royal view is easy of access by taxi from tsuen wan (60 hkd),and the standards match the western standards, which is unfortunately not always the case in hong kong (i came across hotels that advertise 4 stars but are hardly worth 3, but not this one! ). The view is amazing and the staff intelligent. The only 2 downers are the rather poor wifi and the plane noise, although inside the room you don't hear them. I recommend the hotel also for the great quality for price!

Nice surroundings... especially if you love nature.”

Overall stay is good. You need to note on the bus timings to avoid long queue and have to wait for the next bus. As it is a mini bus and standing is not allowed. No need to go to the city to shop as you can explore the New Town mall and other mall near Tsuen Wan MTR. Also many shops across the streets of Tsuen Wan MTR. Aside shopping dont forget to visit the beach and see the sunset across the hotel. Will definitely stay in Royal View again if we were to visit HK.

Value for money, a place you can relax, a nice view of the beach”

I stayed for 4 nights on 19th floor, family room. The hotel was clean and spacious. I love how the hotel provide shuttle bus for us to Tsuen Wan MTR. The service ends at 11.10pm from Tsuen Wan MTR. They provide breakfast. However, they served the same main dish everyday. You will get bored of it after 2 days. I love my room because i could view the beach every morning. Cleanliness is superb! If you do not want to spend too much purchasing water, boil your water and leave it overnight. Tips: Do buy some food, crackers, chips etc when you are in town. Cause you will not be able to find any shops nearby. I would definitely stay here again in future cause i love the quietness of this hotel.

Superb experience! ”

I was so happy that we booked here for our short stay in Hong Kong. Nicky at the front desk was wonderful! He explained everything very well, and because it was our first time to stay here, he even gave us a free upgrade to the family game room! :-) My kids were extremely happy with the features of the room, and they were so entertained for hours. We also had an amazing sea side view! No wonder the hotel is called Royal View, because that view is spectacular. We witnessed the sunrise every day during our stay, and it was wonderful! Staff was very accommodating, and the free shuttle was convenient and left on time. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and overall, the experience was superb! I would definitely book here again, the next time we come for a visit.

Quiet location, beautiful rooms, lovely sea view”

Excellent staff, reasonably priced breakfast buffet (with great choices), incredible fitness center/pool with sauna, steam room, hot & cold tubs in the well appointed locker rooms.

This hotel is well worth the price of admission. Splurge a little for a sea/bridge view--it's worth the sunsets. So romantic for my husband and I. The swimming pool is in a lovely, private setting. The room size is quite good for Hong Kong, with a nicely designed bathroom with amenities. The free shuttle to the nearest MTR station is awesome. If we stayed here again, it'd be like coming home. Thanks Royal View Hotel, you were fabulous!
