This is my new favorite hotel in the Zona Rosa.”
I really love this city, the Zona Rosa area and this hotel. The Royal is located right next to the DF public security ministry headquarters, and there are always armed police around the block. You´ll never be safer! There´s a Santanter Serfin ATM a block away. If you have a Bank of America card, there is no charge for withdrawls at this bank in Mexico. It´s a quick walk to the Insurgentes metro stop, or the metrobus station. It´s also a short walk to the independence angel statue on Reforma, where you can take a city bus. I also love to walk to the Roma and Condessa neighborhoods and check out the architecture, parks and great restaurants in these beautiful residential areas. The hotel has a simple, modern lobby and a glass elevators in a neat atrium design. The rooms are modern, very clean and mine had a new firm mattress. There´s a free room safe and they give you two free bottles of water a day. There´s free internet in the room and lobby. I brought my iPhone with Skype and used it for local calls in Mexico (to avoid the hotel charges)as well as to stay in touch with everyone back home... all for pennies a minute. One of the neatest amenities of the hotel is the small patio, bar and pool on the roof. The pool is heated almost to bath temperature, and it was great to take a dip when it was cool and rainy. There was almost never anyone there, so had the pool and the beautiful view all to myself. Additionally, there´s a small fitness center (a room with two treadmills, a bicycle and a few dumbells). However, it has a small steam room in the back, and if you let the concierge know 30 minutes in advance, you can go up and enjoy it for free. (There was never anyone up there!) The Zona Rosa is a fun vibrant area. Great people watching! It´s the heart of the gay area, and it´s refreshing to see a young generation of Mexicans totally open about being who they are. There are quite a few gay bars, clubs and shops in the area.

Nice hotel...great location”
After spending an entire week in various hotels in Central Mexico, the Royal Zona Rosa was the perfect ending. The rooms were very clean and modern. The hotel is ideally situated in the Zona Rosa district with access to many shops, restaurants and clubs. It is also one block from the Insurgentes subway station, where small vendors sell various items and food. This hotel is at the top of my list upon my return to Mexico City.

Royal Hotel Zona Rosa”
A nice hotel, good value for money located bang in the Zona Rosa with really nice staff. On the 16th floor which in theory the most desirable as the pool and gym are just above on the 17th floor, the rooms were noisy because of a main ventilation or AC unit for the public parts of the hotel that made quite a racket, but the staff was nice enough to change our room. AC units did not work very well in the rooms, but that seems to be par for the course

One night stop off before the airport. ”
Very good. One night only but location was good to explore some of the main areas in Mexico City. Was also not too far fro. The airport making the taxi there less stressful. Friendly staff, nice room, and reasonable for the money. I'd definitely stop there again.

Royal Zona Rosa”
My stay though short was pleasant enough and the room was a nice room. It is really a Mexican hotel catering more to the local Mexican tourist. The staff all speak sufficient English to make sure that all of your requests are taken care of. My stay was only overnight to catch a flight from Mexico City returning to US. It is an efficient nights stay but not a luxurious one.

Great place in the heart of the zona rosa”
I had a great room on the highest floor and with that came a great city view. The room had a very large window. Especially night time with the city light was great.

Royal Zona Rosa - Best Western”
Nice location, pleasant staff. Some of the rooms do not have any heat. The staff is aware but does not tell you and it gets very cold at times. They did change our room the following day, but had no extra rooms the first day. From a dicussion we had in the elevator, ours was not the only room with this problem. Additionally, our first room had a bit of an electrical problem. When using the lights and the T.V. they would intermittanly turn off and back on within a few seconds.

Good”
stayed in room ph2 on top floor. nice views. quiet and good sleeping conditions. although the best western rzr is not a new hotel, it is maintained to a mid-range international standard. unless you want a unique hostelry experience, this one works for a business or brief tourism stay. free internet connection was good wifi, tv had numerous programming and news in english. nice little pool area on top floor. breakfast not a value at hotel, many better places within a block radius. metro (insurgentes)nearby. gym was closed -- for remodeling, they said.

Courteous staff but issues with the roo”
The location can't be beat, staff is courteous with many speaking English quite well. Room was clean although the bed was extremely hard. There was a fair amount of noise coming from adjoining rooms, but not so much that it disturbed our sleep.

Great service, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable”
The bed was hard as cement and the air conditioner in my room made an awfully loud noise when on at any level. Service was exceptional, all staff extremely helpful and friendly.
