Good”
Good location in terms of shopping and food. However, if you’d have to travel to other places...this location might not be ideal because the traffic is horrific, especially during fasting month. Looking for the hotel was a confusing, I went to the wrong hotel because they’re all named the same but it was alright. It’s only 10 mins walk from the wrong ones called Royale Chulan Damansara. Once arrived, I felt welcomed. Cheers to the friendly staffs! Check-in was simple and easy. Room was clean, nothing dodgy. (Thank God) Ladies! There’s hairdryer provided, no need to bring your own. It’s quite powerful too! A word of reminder for families though, the floors are mostly NOT smoke-free, so it would be best to actually request one if you’re traveling with kids. Didn’t had a chance to use the swimming pool, so no comments on that. I gave a 3-star rate for the Value of money, it’s because it is actually quite expensive. The interior design wasn’t as new, the lobby was warm, there’s a bulb dying in my room which makes it difficult for me to put on makeup, and I don’t understand why they installed the magnifying makeup mirror like 20cm taller than me and I can’t pull it down to use it(I’m 163cm btw). Lastly, no breakfast included.. not that I’ve been informed about it, nor breakfast voucher in the room cards’ pouch. Thanks for reading my looooong review. Have fun traveling! xx
Dear Valerie, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Your constructive and uplifting feedback is much appreciated. All the issues mentioned will be highlighted to the management so further improvement can be done promptly. Lastly, we are happy that you felt welcome during your stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you again and again! Best regards, Afifah Public Relations Department
Great hotel”
We loved our stay at Royale Chulan Curve. Great breakfast selection, shops are literally outside the hotel! Ikea, Ikano, The Curve.. where you can easily watch movies, get a massage, do your shopping and pick from the many restaurants and cafes around the hotel. The cons unfortunately that we were driving and didn't realise that it was a one way (as we were driving on the other side of the same street) there were no place we could have made a u-turn as the middle of the road had island/curb all the way to the end of the street where it joined to a main highway so we had to make it out to the major highway again to make a big turn to get into the hotels carpark. Also it didn't come with free parking although you are a hotel guest.
Interesting place”
Good point Children enjoyed with KidZania and number of good shop is around, UniQlo, Himeleys, toy R us, Ikea, and numbers of good Restaurant is around. Transport using Grabs and MRT is walking distance. We take Family suite is a good bargain and big space. When we arrive, taxi drop us at Royale Chulan Damansara and we booked at Royale Chulan The Curve, just 5 minutes away walking distance, the Hotel provide us free taxi to carry our luggage for free. Communication on the request excellent and quick response. Room for improvement Linen were not change till we request on our last nite at hotel, Towel were not supply and need to inform the front desk, it just a minor issue. Knocking or demolishing in progress in the middle of night thus wake me up for 2-3 hours till it stop. Overall, will not stop me from coming to stay at that hotel and I like to stay at not very crowded place and all shop I want is there.
Good hotel but name is very confusing”
Overall verybgood hotel with good location. But the changes of the hotel name was very confusing. We went to the royale chulan damansara instead and was told that the one we booked is the royale chulan at the curve. Must do something with the confusion apparently we were not the only guests who wrongly made a mistake. Very bad experience because we were traveling with kids below 4 yo. But overall, both hotels were good.
Fantastic location, pity about the guest parking”
Royale Bintang The Curve has its location working in its favour - close to E-curve, The Curve, Ikano Power Centre, Ikea and Kidzania (plus Tesco is within walking distance, and not forgetting OneUtama which is a stone's throw away) - staying here will keep you occupied for at least a few days. We had a room on the 9th floor with the windows facing the eateries downstairs so the lounge singing could easily be heard but they stopped at about 11 or so, if I'm not mistaken. Rooms were a little outdated but that's a small problem. Shower is small and there is no bidet next to toilet but good water pressure. Breakfast spread was adequate - have certainly improved on their nasi lemak sambal this time round and had the most crispy and juicy jackfruit deep fried in batter. Shame about not having discounted rates for parking. I've stayed at hotels which used the excuse of not having their own parking but at least they offered a discounted rate for hotel guests. Overnight stay will cost you RM8 - I am assuming more if you had to use your car for journeys in and out of the hotel? All in all - recommended but shame about the parking.
is it really worth the money spent?”
i looked forward to staying here. stayed ta royale chulam in damansara before and loved it. bintang on the other hand was a little disappointing. for the amount of money spent your expectations are set high. room was alright. no complains there. fridge wasnt working and kept leaking. terrible choice of tv programmes to watch. toilet had its flaws. hot water kept fluctuating between bloody hot when someone flushes the toilet to bloody cold when the neighbour decides to shower. you get pulses of hot water. which was weird cause your nipples get real confused if they should harden up or stay soft. breakfast was not too bad. not as nice as royale chulan. but not too bad. stingy with eggs. an omelette is as thin as 5 sheets of paper put together. and the bloody guys working there were pretty cold! they greet foreign tourist but look at us locals like we're savages. i didnt like that at all. money is money. we pay the same money they pay. come on. treat us well too. and to end it all, we checkout and guess what? the bloody hotel doesnt have its own parking! so we gotta pay whatever charges necessary for parking even though we parked where it said 'hotel parking'. some one royale bintang, stop being so cheap. thats my job.
Customer service manager gave excellent help.”
Objective was for kids to go to Kidszania. Within walking distance. Good variety of eateries near the hotel. I have accidentally booked the wrong date for my stay at the Royale Bintang The Curve Hotel. Booked 2 nights instead of 1 night. This was only discovered on the day that I was checking in to the Royale Bintang The Curve Hotel. Agoda customer service agents made me repeat my story 3 times (because each time the call was answered by a different agent) without solving the problem (in this IT age, don't Agoda have a system to register customer's queries / problems??). You can imagine my anxiousness. The hotel's customer service Manager, a lady (forgot her name), did a very good job. She helped me to talk to Agoda and volia! Problem resolved. the Royale Bintang The Curve Hotel is also very kind to waive off penalty charges of last minute cancellation of the extra 1 night booked. This made my day!
Good location, boring breakfast selection ”
If you are looking for a strategic place, this is a good location, right opposite of Ikea Damansara and attached with e-curve mall. Poor choice of breakfast selection, given same dishes everyday, the only difference dish was either fried beehoon/mee/koayteow/rice. Maintenance came into the room without cleaning after fixing the toilet issue. WiFi speed is terribly slow, even your own mobile data is much better than it. Don’t ever expect for improvements or enhancements if you wish to lodge a complaint. It’s ONE & ONLY centralize WiFi. It’s inconvenient for those wish to work in the hotel.
Ideal for business traveler”
Location is perfect as the hotel is located inside The Curve. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A number of shopping centres (Ikea, IPC Mall, Tesco, The Curve, E-Curve, 1Utama) are located v. close to the hotel. The room was as shown in the photos. It was clean, and I did not find anything negative to write about. (As I stayed during Ramazan, I did not get to try the breakfast in the morning - so I don't know much about the food.) Overall I'm very happy with the hotel, and will definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others as well.
Very good”
Great location for shopping and eat. Breakfast nothing to rave about as its just a simplicity but .Rooms are clean. Love the pillows and bed.Staffs needs to be friendly and smile more. They look like they are force to work but still not all though. The cleaners (esp the 2 female lady) Very courteous , friendly and humble, OVERALL GOOD JOB ROYALE CHULAN THE CURVE. Though i am sceptical when booking the room as the reviews I read are more damaging then the good ones but I am very satisfied and happy. will definitely book when i land in KL
Dear Rahayu, Thank you for you kind feedback - both positive and constructive! We are happy that you decided to give us a try yourself and experience Malaysian hospitality. It is our pleasure to be serving you and we look forward to welcoming you again whenever you're in KL. Thank you once again. Best regards, Afifah Public Relations Department
Very good”
we stayed at royal chulan for the new year's eve's fireworks. as we brought along little kids, i did mentioned to the hotel in my online booking and called the hotel earlier to asked for a room that facing the street (so that even if our kids are sleeping on midnight/or not, we can see it from our room window). but may be since it's peak time, when we arrived, the hotel couldn't give the room as we requested (i guess they save it for the walk-in guest, as the price would be higher, but that kinda irked me because i did request it a week earlier and they still HAVE the room. it didn't happened to us the previous year, when we booked another hotel in KL to watch fireworks from KLCC. plz consider that we cannot bring little kids outside on midnight). good thing, the location is awesome. it is connected to the curve shopping mall, and guests can also go to ikea/other malls. overall, we had an okay stay but may be the hotel can consider an early request from a guest w/ kids :) TQ
Exceptional”
Great place to stay but can only get to the lobby by car from Royale Chulan Damansara towards Kidzania (which is very jam during peak hours) but not the other way round.
KL vacation ”
Agoda offered us great deal overall our staying with Royale Chulan The Curve is out dated in room, but great location and their staff has good improvement on service attitude compared our last visit. Only negative is their room key card, save box , mini bar fridge are not working when check in suggest this should check before let their guest check into room.
Great place great location”
Staff was very helpful and friendly..Great location for shopping to as there were 4 shopping places you can go: e-curve, The Curve, IPC and Ikea. Will definitely stay here again..Oh you can reach this hotel via mrt..stop at Mutiara Damansara station.
Great location”
Best location, located right at the curve shopping with tons of restaurants and a cinema just few mins walk down the shops. But I would not give high marks for the breakfast, Royal Chulan should improve the breakfast offering and food quality. Best to eat out.
Comfortable & Pleasant Stay”
The stay was a pleasant one. The hotel is nearby shopping malls within walking distance. The family suite is big enough to accommodate our stay with 2 adults and 3 kids. We chose this hotel because the hotel is nearest to KidZania Kuala Lumpur and few shopping malls within walking distance. However, please take note the hotel does not have its own car park. We parked our car in The Curve Shopping Mall car park. Overall our one night stay at this hotel is a comfortable and pleasant one.
Superb location”
our second stay at Royal Chulan The Curve. Why? Location is awesome. Cleanliness is awesome. Carparking in convenient. Check in and Check out a breeze.
Dear Shahril, Thank you for your time to review our hotel on Agoda. We appreciate greatly your great feedback and hope to welcome you again and again at Royale Chulan The Curve! Best regards, Afifah Public Relations Department
In a perfect location for shopping and dining”
Stayed at 2 family suites for 1 night with complimentary breakfast. Spacious and cosy rooms. Located at The Curve shopping mall, Mutiara Damansara and Ikea@Ikano Power Centre on the opposite side. Plenty of retail outlets and restaurants to shop and dine. Good quality breakfast but lacked varieties.
Spacious Family Room”
We decided to get the Family room with two single beds and one king bed. The room was very plush and even came with a little living area where we were able to host our visitors. The toilet was also very spacious with a separate shower and bath tub areas. The breakfast was quite disappointing though. Even the basics such as omelets, sausages and ham were not very tasty. That was a bit of a let down because my family enjoys trying out different hotel breakfasts. The location is pretty good with the hotel enjoying direct connection to The Curve Shopping Mall. Even Ikea is just across the road. Note: Guests who drive need to pay for the underground parking which is quite strange if you ask me as most hotels I've stayed at provide complimentary parking facilities.
One stop hotel with everything you under the sky”
Perfect stay ! Love the surrounding ambience especially. The room is cosy. Perhaps a bib tap for the Muslims in the bathroom would fill-up the "empty glass". The rest is perfect!. Will bring my teenage girls to come over for sure as this is a hotel where I can leave them on their own without feeling worried. Everything is under on roof. From entertainment, shopping Malls are crazily humongous, the choice of food from E curve to the Curve Mall, the hotel staffs are strangely friendlier than those in KL town!. I would say a totally different class of peeps here!!
