Great Breakfast! 😁”
At first you would be confuse on where it is as the hotels front is a convience store but the tuktuk driver knows it just by its name. We stayed here just for one night. The location is great! It located just a walking distance from the riverside, the royal palace and national museum. The room is big with water heater, refrigerator and coffee cups. Didn't mind thw tv having just enough channels since we're there to go around outside. The bathroom has a bidet and toiletries are provided. And yes, the breakfast, for 2 was great! You have to ask where to get it as it's in a cafe in the next building right beside it. We had our to go since we have limited time. Hopefully, they'll maintain the rooms (the cabinet has a broken shelf), also the rooms in the ground floor looks like they're in a storage place. Hope, they clean it up. All in all, for the price and just a place to sleep, it's worth it. Will recommend this place to everyone who'll just stay a short while in Phnom Penh! 😁
I paid only 15$ to get a very clean and comfortable room in the best location in town. Maybe it's just re innovate that's why it looks very clean. The staff provide many information about where to go in Phnom Penh. They arrange the bus ticket and Tuk Tuk for us with a very good price. Please spend your days there.
RS guesthouse was great. The staff were very helpful and freindly. The rooms were very clean and tidy. There is also a great shop below. We actually stayed on an extra week here as the location was so close to river and great accommodation. The staff also helped us with tuk tuks at good prices. lots of good cheap resturants in this street. We would definitely stay again.
Very good value for money ”
We had a great stay at RS guesthouse, it was clean and the staff where nice. It's only a 5 min walk from the Palace, bars and restaurants. Would stay again. If your looking for a reliable tuk tuk driving look up "Lee tuk tuk" on Facebook he's lovely and speaks great English.
My First Time Stay At RS Guesthouse in Phnom Penh”
It`s worth staying in a Budget Double Room giving me a good impresssion of cleanliness ,a air-con room with Bathroom & toilet attached. The staffs are helpful, polite with smiling faces.I hope to come back to stay again at RS guesthouse in the near future.I am glad & happy that the staff help me to allocate my room at the Groundfloor due to my Knees & Legs pain since there is no Lift to the upper level floors of the Bedrooms. Thanks a lot to the staffs from RS Guesthouse.
An okay place ”
What I like about the property is its proximity to the Royal Palace, the riverside and other tourist destinations in the city. There are lots of restaurants nearby. It also has a convenience store inside. The room is very spacious, the wi-fi in the property is fast, the AC works but some facilities are kinda outdated. The TV was not working during our stay. The towels are too worn out. Cleaning is upon request. Overall, it’s an okay place to stay at in Phnom Penh if you’re on a budget.
A Guest Jouse in center of Phnom Penh, near to Royal Palace. In the ground floor is a mini mart where the price is competitive and adoptable. Clean and nice balcony with small green trees. The stair is little bit small.
Single Night Stay”
I live in Phnom Penh close to this hotel but my apartment had electric issues and had to make arrangements for a night. Its affordable, great location and although basic, is great for a short stay
After our return from the islands we checked into RS again as we knew what we were getting & it helped split up the bus journey up North. Actually got a better room than we had booked even better than the last room as more space & was top floor so amazing views of the city. Once again great comfy and very clean bed with A/C this is a great base to explore PP City.
Very good location”
RS guesthouse is strategically located near in National museum, Cultural village and walking distance to Royal Plaza. It's lobby is a mini mart 24hrs. Only issue in our side is that our room was at the 4th floor and they only have stairs! So it makes us lazy and tiring for us to go out!
AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY WITH GREAT STAFF! HIGHLY REVVY”
AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY WITH GREAT STAFF, RS is in a fantastic locastion just a Stones throw from all the bars & nighflife with their Royal Palace, Museum ect ect nearby. There's a super-market on site, money exchange, tours arranged by the most helpful of staff! Value for money is an understatment!! Highly recommended!!
Very Basic Rooms”
First of all you should understand that Phnom Penh is a very dirty and poverty stricken area. This hotel has 4 floors and no elevator, so be prepared to climb stairs. The rooms are very basic with no character. I stayed in three different rooms. All three had poor water pressure in the showers, and if you get a bathtub you will notice that there is no stopper/plug, so you cant actually fill the tub to take a bath. Staff was friendly and the place was clean.
Close to anything and big room for triple. Price very cheap more than other hotel, I think this is hotel not only guesthouse. (Minh - Việt Nam)
Perfect for a central city guesthouse ”
The guesthouse couldn't have been in a better location. Tourist attractions and amenities were very close by, you couldn't have been closer to the Royal palace. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Unfortunately we had no external window, just a window into the corridor but for the can't complain. The receptions couples up as a shop were you can buy necessities. The staff were very friendly.
Great location. Horrible customer service.”
I was excited to be so close to many of the attractions. My experience was spoiled by who I think was the manager or team leader of the establishment. I arrived in Phnom Penh extremely tired but excited to see the city. The first night I didn’t turn on the AC. I was hot but too lazy to continue struggling with it in the end. The second night, I requested someone to look at it. The lady at the front desk came to the room and insinuated I broke it. She said what did you do the first night? I said I never turned it on. She kept insinuating it had to be me because I couldn’t sleep without AC. This was witnessed by a friend. She got it working then left. The next day, I asked for more water. She said you have some. I told her I drank the ones from yesterday. She was extremely abrasive. Great location, but the room smells when you open the door. Cleaning and fresh towels are upon request. Do not stain anything as they will charge you $50 yet the room itself is $15. Great size room.
Great location and value for money”
Well, the guesthouse is located near to tourist spots, restaurants, and market. A lot of money changers and convenience stores closed to this place. The staffs can speak english. The wifi is good. The room is completely clean. But tuk tuk (mode of transpo) charge too much. Minimum is $2 to $3 which i think too expensive.
RS is a good place to stay. Central, with a reasonable price. My only negative is the manager (although he's only there from time to time, fortunately). He has very poor interpersonal skills, coming across as rude and as if you're doing him a favour by staying there. Apart from that the staff is fine:-)
Noisy with construction next door, that only seems to happen early in the morning when you're trying to sleep and not in the middle of the day/afternoon. There is quite a bit of construction/renovation/building going on around Phnom Penh, so the noise is a pretty common feature when staying in hotels around the city. They painted the tiles in the room and bathroom, which is a bit odd, not as sanitary for a shower. Good that it had a convenience store downstairs. Cambodia is lacking in convenience stores, especially compared to its neighbour Thailand, so that was handy.
Best location ”
This is a very good location place for people who looking for a fun trip. There are many bars and restaurants nearby. The guesthouse look renovate, so everything look new and clean. It totally money worth.. i will stay there again. Recommended place.
Good for the price!”
The best thing about this guesthouse is the location and the price. The room was quite small but otherwise nice and clean when we arrived. The room was cleaned once during our week long stay. It would have been nice to get fresh towels more often, otherwise it was fine. The staff is nice but it's a bit hard getting information and help with booking bus tickets and such, better to go to a travel agent for that. The wifi was a bit unreliable but when it worked it was really good. The location is great, right by the royal palace and near a lot of restaurants.
