Lovely stay at Smyth Hotel”

My home when visiting NY is Smyth Hotel. A true 5 star experience

Great location, efficient room design”

It's a manhattan boutique place so space is at a premium and the public space is minimal. Nice bar/restaurant for working during the day and having a healthy meal. The room design was elegant.

Comfortable Holiday”

The hotel was conveniently located (subway right outside the door plus a few others a block or 2 away, nearby cafes and SG for healthy eats, you can easily walk to soho, the west village and maybe even Chelsea and Flatiron), the staff were super approachable and helpful in every way (helping us with our bags from our car service as soon as we arrived, helping with bookings, making the rooms super tidy and clean everyday), there’s a nice lounge and bar with a fireplace for a cozy evening, there’s a nice little restaurant within the hotel but we didn’t have a chance to try it, and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Chic hotel in super convenient location”

Big shout out to Xavier who helped with our bags, offered water and to call a cab upon checking out. Staff readily greeted us any time of the day. Met all basic requirements of a functioning hotel within a wonderfully convenient location. Minutes from financial district and train stations. Wish we had a higher floor room though.

Good location,Very noisy in the morning from another room ,unhelpful from staff and so daft from them,they fix the problem with out ask the guest ,they charge price more than price they show in agoda so be careful if you have to book ,I have to pay more 200++ dollars from they confirm in agoda ,never come again

Best hotel I've been to in the US”

Very comfortable room, great service, beautiful design and decoration, perfect location. All good, loved it.

Very nice hotel”

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was relaxed and friendly and the food was of excellent quality at the adjoining restaurant. The rooms were fairly well maintained and spacious.

Good hotel, good location, poor food, small bed”

Very good hotel, comfortable, good location. Our stay was made much better by the excellent reception and concierge staff. Poor food, the smallest portions in New York. The bed was not big enough for someone who is 6 feet 2 inches tall !!

Romantic, luxury, relaxing”

My partner and I had a great stay at the Smyth Tribeca. The room was gorgeous and we were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade. Everything was very efficient and the staff were very helpful.

Comfortable Luxury”

Our stay at the Smyth TriBeCA was absolutely wonderful; it's possibly one of the best city hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was beautiful, and offered us so much comfort and space. I'd like to specially note the high quality of the bed and the superior design of the shower--both are definitely highlights of the room. Additionally, the staff was very kind and helpful. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Superb Hotel. amazing staff, stylish comfy rooms”

I stay at Thompsons often. The Smyth did not disappoint! This is a smaller boutique hotel but maintains the amazing Thompson amenities and standards. The staff take very obvious pride in their jobs. The rooms and bathrooms are tremendous, with the expected Thompson flair and style. Very very comfortable beds.

Close to Soho”

Close to Soho Subway Station is literally downstairs Very Noisy at night and in the morning due to roadworks on Chambers Street, don't stay here if you plan to sleep in Bed not hard enough Housekeeping is a bit lazy No power shower A bit difficult to get taxis from Hotel

Great location & service- a positive experience”

I arrived early and was able to check in early with no trouble, even got a slight room upgrade. Room was clean and modern and nice. Functional. I noticed the bottle of wine in the mini bar was half full but did not think twice. Should've informed front desk immediately. However, when they tried to charge me for the item upon check out, I insisted it was not me who consumed it and they did not argue and did not charge me. Need to remember to check mini bar items and report consumed items upon arrival next time. Room did not have a coffee maker so I had to go out for coffee in the mornings, but it was not a problem since there's a Starbucks right across the street and a French bakery right next door. I had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant, Plein Sud. Southern French cuisine; very acceptable. There are a ton of great restaurants in the area but this one was fine for room service and for when I didn't have time to go out. The dining room and bar was busy and had a nice vibe in the evening - and it was a Monday night too. Although I didn't use them, the room had two large umbrellas in the closet. Great idea. It also had bedroom slippers and a bathrobe. Internet access was a reasonable $15 for 24 hours.

Lovely hotel in heart of Tribeca”

the rooms are great and quite large by nyc standards. good restaurant as well. don't understand why they charge for wifi though? its the 21st century. wifi is as basic a requirement as bath towels. it should be free - everywhere!

Great”

My friend & i stayed here over the 2012/13 christmas period. We found the location to be fabulous, very easy to walk to the many great restaurants & shops nearby, if not, the subway is on the doorstep. Staff friendly & helpful. Room was big, clean & comfortable. Overall, great stay. I recommend

Lovely hotel with great and strategic location”

Thia hotel is strategically located. Subway station for the train no 1,2, and 3 is in front of the hotel and for the train no. 5 and 6 is in the city hall ( 8 minutes walk from the hotel)
