Двухместный номер площадью около 6 кв.м с двухэтажной кроватью, холодильником, кондиционером и столиком. Санузел в корридоре. Рядом с метро. Останавливаюсь здесь уже не первый раз, так как цена здесь достаточно приемлемая, по сравнению с другими отелями в нью йорке.

Отель внутри больше напоминает какую то больничку, чистую и аккуратнаю. Моя одноместная палата была небольшая, с кондиционером в окне и небольшим столиком. Очередей в общих санузлах не встретил. Бонусным тренажерным залом и бассейном не воспользовался. С учетом цен на отели в нью йорке - достаточно приемлемый отель.

Превосходно, правда в номере не было телевизора но это не страшно. В отеле есть спорт зал, бассейн. Персонал очень вежлив. Есть вай фай но не устойчив и невысокая скорость.

Спокойное место для отдыха после прогулок и экскурсий по городу, персонал вежливый, добродушный и отзывчивый. Рядом станция сабвея, две городских линии. Проблем за время проживания не было ни в чём. По российским стандартам - жить можно!

You pay fewer than in a Hotel but you have two Fitness Rooms (machines + free weights), a Swimming Pool, Steam Room, an own sleeping room with own fridge. Air Condition was working but loud.

It'sa good option for travelers on a budget. 25 minutes walk to the Central Park & close to subway line 1, 2, 3 & A, B, C. The property is also close to a police station so it makes me feel safe. There's lots of restaurants and groceries in the area.

There's a unnecessary hidden resort fee of 10$/person/night”

Pros: it's supposed to be cheap and easy, private rooms and close to the subway uptown. There's soap in the room and clean towels. Cons: Awful smell in the corridors and room, somehow embedded in the window AC filters, should be awful during the summer. Front desk isn't open 24h, security is and late check in and is long and complex. Worst of all, there's a resort fee, something that usually covers special amenities; obviously unnecessary and a little incorrect to those that are visiting the city; a YMCA should not have hidden charges.

BAD EXPERIENCE ”

Am arrived at the property midnight at 12, i already sent message to the property for late check-in, somehow there is no room key for late check in under my name. The security guy in front desk called the reception and the reception said the property already fully booked and there’s only the 3 people late check in key there, without my name on it. I called Agoda for help and Agoda customer service blame me that this is my fault! Its 4AM, raining outside and very cold. There’s no rule in the booking that the check in is until X-time, and I am already sent message also, but Agoda customer service keep blaming that she cant do anything, dont trust me and said this is my fault. I am using Agoda many many times without any issue, but this experience create an unbelievable, terrible things. Highly not recommended using Agoda anymore, the customer service bad, no solution, dont trust the customer. i am sitting in plastic chair with my luggage writing this notes, 4AM. Also in the morning the receptionist did not say anything, ask me to pay facility fee, bad hostel. not recommended at all!

Harlem YMCA”

YMCA is not a typical Hostel. It's a Social Institution that among other this offers a place to stay to people in need. They offer accommodation to guests (in a dedicated floor) as a complement to their activity and as form to have some extra income. So, don't expect to have many commodities and expect to share your elevator ride with some of their users. But it has an excellent price/quality relation. Never had any issue at all. The staff was attentive and not intrusive. The hostel is clean, silent and has nice installations. There is a great view to midtown if you room faces south. The transportation: one word PERFECT!

we paid $151+ USD for a hostel room. later found out that the usual cost is about 50-60 USD only. didn't get water bottles, towel, etc.

YMCA harlem is at a great location (upper Manhattan), 2 minutes walk to subway (2 and 3) with express service to downtown. Common restroom is not bad, at least clean enough, but might need to queue or wait for a little bit longer time. Room is still okay, but with some kind of weird smell (not sure if others have the same). Bought a air freshener about $2 from local supermarket. Food stalls available nearby (Popeye, Texas Chicken, Chinese Food, DD), supermarket, some shops at 10 blocks away (125 street).

Stay somewhere else”

I didn't like staying here. It was December and the rooms were not that warm, although it was apparent that they turned on the heat in the lobby to keep the staff comfortable. Also, the place is quite old and dirty; it felt like staying in the homeless shelters I used to volunteer in. Bathrooms were so-so; they were cleaned once a day. Often the toilet paper would run out in the evening. Overall this is not a comfortable place, and after a long day of site-seeing, it will not help you relax and rest. You're supposed to show your key to the staff every time you walk in the building, which is weird. They also neglected to explain this to me when I checked-in, and only after a few times in which the desk staff were kind of rude to me did I figure out that this is what they wanted. Perhaps they're tired of explaining it, perhaps it's a stupid rule, perhaps they really don't care enough? I don't know.Also, the area is pretty awful. There are few decent food options, and walking around at night feels dangerous. A street-walker even came into the restaurant I was having dinner at just to ask me for money while I was eating, then shouted profanities at me when I refused -- this is what Harlem is like. I really, really don't recommend staying here or in Harlem in general, if you have a choice. Even if it's cheap, just stay somewhere else and enjoy the nicer parts of the city.

my stay at Harlem YMCA was OK, there is nothing exceptional nor something you want to complain about. Though it was easy to access the subway, it is a little bit far from the city centre. I would rather choose YMCA Vanderbilt and pay extra.

Basic but affordable and with a great gym”

It's good value, considering accommodation in NYC is far too expensive. You get weird looking local misfits staying there long term, harmless anyway, and the area has no appeal at all. But it's very close to the subway (though Harlem is far from Midtown even on the subway) and has a great gym (with free access for guests). Rooms are small, with bunk beds, there's only wifi in the lobby and no breakfast, but again, this in NYC,
