Very Nice Hotel in Far North”
So far, Zen Hotet i Must Say the best Hotel in the Far North
Everything was good except the weird slippers. They were very uncomfortable and painful to wear.
Their rooms need to be updated. What is worth mentioning is that they have friendly and very helpful staff.
The overnight stay with the hotel was a relief from our more than 8 hrs drive from Tuguegarao. All the food we ordered from the restaurant were all delicious and in big servings. To die for are the velvet cake and the blueberrycheesecake, not too sweet, just heaven to taste! The rooms were all clean and the cable TV works well. Pls. check the tiles of the showerroom, a little bit slippery when you shower. I suggest to place a rubber mat to prevent any accident. Will definitely be back to this Hotel!
The staff are the friendliest, most accomodating people ever. I've not seen better service, even from more expensive (higher starred) hotels. It was a very welcome surprise. A solid example: I called housekeeping for an extra tissue roll past midnight and it was delivered less than five minutes after I made the call.

I often judge a hotel by the quality of the check in and cleanness - both excellent We had a pool suite but it's more a hotel room. The quality of the room was very good. Excellent bedding and bath towels. The room could do with a safe for leaving passports etc. Breakfast was included and tradional Filipino dishes with good coffee. Would highly recommend
FOOD & BEVERAGE”
Nice hotel, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff, but two things lets it down. Firstly the food and beverage side. It is clear that there is nobody in charge of F&B who has any idea of menu, food preparation, presentation or service. Breakfast was largely inedible (cold, fried fish, and cold lumpy steamed rice - and that was straight from the kitchen). Toast was slightly warm white bread - once requested - (wheat bread, well done!!) with no butter or jam (later unwillingly produced). Coffee, however, was excellent! When ordering the afternoon before coffee and a slice of cake, we were automatically told, "that will take at least 15 mins to be served". We were one of only two tables occupied in the lobby restaurant. The other aspect was maintenance in the rooms. No toggle on the shower, disconnected tap on the wash basin, a chunk missing from the door, and the narrowest, thinnest toilet paper ever produced!! Despite all this, I enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again.

As a family who loves to travel, we are always on the lookout for nice yet affordable places to stay in. I must say, their hotel has given us a way-beyond-expectation kind of hospitality. The food, especially their filipino dishes is one of the highlights of our stay. We have enjoyed every meal that made us look forward to and be excited about ordering our next meal. We enjoyed bragging about their food to our relatives and friends who was also captivated by the tastes when they stayed with us for 1-2 nights. The rooms gave us comfort and we felt at home. Provided us a restful night after a hot and busy day. Lastly, their awesome team. From managers (shout out to Mr. Eric!) to the security guards. I can't think of any negative thing to say about them..not that there's any... we are in awe! They go beyond their call of duties in order to serve your clients. They gave us that VIP treatment everytime we walk pass the corridor, hang in the lobby, eat at the cafe and a bonus of letting us play with the piano! They are courteous, helpful, approachable and sensitive to our needs. They always look for ways to be pleasant to us and/or to the other guests. We wish we could have stayed longer but we know we will be back for sure. Choose Zen when you are in Santiago City. You will never be disappointed.

The pool was really dirty and wasn't available for swimming. My kids were quite disappointed that the pool wasn't available. Also, on Agoda, it said we were to get one king bed and one Queen bed, but when we arrived, they said it was only one queen bed and a single. That needs to be changed on the website to reflect the correct information.

A nice hotel for a quick stop over on the way to the rice terraces. Zen says it all - simple, modern design throughout. The room was comfortable though there were some parts that were not so well maintained and the balcony had a nearby area full of trash that could so easily have been cleaned up. The odd triangular pool was small but nice in the morning even though it opened late at 8am. Breakfast was poor. Typical low quality cold filipino food, white bread and mass produced coffee.
We booked this hotel as an overnight stopover from our long drive from Sta. Ana. For a visit so short, you can already get a sense of what you paid for and I sensed that it was worth having a good night's sleep. The hotel staff was very accommodating. There was enough personnel to entertain all visitors. I hope that they'll maintain this quality of service or only get better in the future.
Staff were friendly and professional. Always a hello or good day. Room was large for Philippines standard, bed comfortable. Lacking hot water but sufficient flow. Cafe food had limites choice but was very good. Restaurant had larger selection of food. Pool area was nice, but pool was undergoing repair. Overall excellent hotel , will stay again and world recommend
It is our first time in Isabela, The whole family likes this hotel, it is clean, the staffs are very friendly, breakfast are great. And if you need anything there is a Robinson Mall nearby. The location is close by the bus stations too. Definitely will Stay here again.

Nice clean facilities, very reasonable Room Rates and ample parking space. Restaurant had some good food and a Chinese resto next door.
There's a limited number of places to stay in Santiago City, and Zen Hotel is a good option. Nice and clean rooms. There is a small swimming pool and restaurant/cafe for food choices. We arrived in Isabela around 10AM. Check in time is 2PM. We requested early check in but we were still charged halfday stay for it. A bit of a sad part. Does not issue tax receipt as well.
parking issues and incompetent guards ”
Well looking for a hotel in Santiago , i was thinking about this hotel and the other one... Read some reviews on the "other" hotel having parking issues, i chose Zen Hotel instead unfortunately... i am just being unlucky or what... travelling for about almost 8 to 9 hours from the mountains and tired wanting to have some rest, i cannot even have a decent parking space since the female guards told me, they dont have an available parking (full parking due to a wedding or a party happening in one of their function halls), the other female guard (yes they were two of them the chubby one) told me to wait till 10pm to be able to find a parking... There was i think a shuttle service of the hotel (hi ace grandia) parked just near the entrance of the hotel and a space at the back but the guards wont let me park there when i said i could temporarily park there and call me when there is a space. This is very disrespectful towards a hotel client like me to be told with these kinds of answers... Unacceptable.. if i could only refund and change a hotel that night i had done it asap. This is the first time i wrote on agoda on how bad i felt. The only mild consolation i got was Mary the receptionist after calling them via mobile phone and expressing my discontent tried her best to pacify me by saying i can park at their nearby sister company hotel and a shuttle would bring me to Zen, if only the guards did some action earlier, i wont really feel bad about this. Parking is important especially to travelers and unfortunately it seems the mgmt and the staff forgot the importance of this. I hope this message reach them and they better shape up and improve their attitude towards house guest/customers. btw - agoda call center agents are also so heartless when it comes to complaints. wait for 8 minutes before a call be answered.
