All in all a great stay!”
Had a really nice stay, and the owners were really sweet and caring..The pool is awesome, and the temperature in it is just perfect (so many times in Thailand the pools can be freezing). We also got free bikes that were “ours” during our whole stay, so it was real easy just going out whenever we felt like it. We have no car, but with grab from Chiang Mai Centre it’s only about 300 baht! All in all a great stay! Would however recommend going for dinner at one of the other resorts nearby instead! And you only get a 1-liter bottle of water per room each day, way too little in such a hot weather. Especially when having no car, gets quite annoying having to walk for long or cycle every day just for water.
one can judge something honestly when something bad happens to you”
I was in a road accident while staying at jasmine villas and all I can say what a compassionate and beautiful group of people that manage and own this place. the owner drove to chang mai twice in one day to make sure I was ok. Beautiful place very good food and people that are the SALT of the EARTH. May you always reap what you so kindly give.
Lovely quaint little place at the countryside ”
The best feature of this place was the warm and hospitable service provided by the owners. They've made our stay there exceptional. The place was lovely. Unlike hotels in the city, we can still feel the cool fresh air and hear the chirping of the birds in the morning. My family and I (6adults & 2 kids) had a great time exploring the surrounding of Jasmine Hill on bicycle. It is a great place for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Peaceful and tranquil. We will definitely stay at Jasmine Hill again.
Fantastic place to get away”
We came as a group of couples with kids to find some quiet together for a few days. We were warmly greeted by Dali and Paul and were treated so well by them! The grounds are nice and I know they are making plans to develop and improve the existing surroundings! We found that the spa was wonderful! The food was delicious and there is plenty of variety. The Mali Wan bungalows were darling... our only complaint was that the upstairs of the bungalows did not have BEDS... only mattresses and getting extra mattresses was a bit of a hassle. Apart from that, we would all stay there again in a heartbeat. You won't find anything to do here except relax and reflect, which is exactly what we wanted. And you won't find better hosts than Dali and Paul!
What a find! Tranquil and beautiful.”
Jasmine Hills is, quite simply, a tranquil paradise close to Chiang Mai in the small village of Doi Saket. Dolly and Paul, the Malaysian owners were wonderful hosts and especially good with our 6 year old daughter. She loved that she could choose DVDs from the extensive collection in the reception area. Also, Dolly found that she only liked apple juice, which they didn't have......until the next morning as they had gone and bought some especially! Our cabin had a sizeable living area, a good bathroom and bedroom and a lovely veranda next to a river where we whiled away the evenings with a good book and a bottle of wine. The reception/restaurant area is similarly beautiful and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The saltwater pool is small but lovely and the nearby village has an impressive Wat, a Tesco, 7-11 and various little cafes. Peaceful, tranquil and delightful!
Great place, great people, great food...!!”
wow..my boyfriend and i had a lovely stay at jasmine hills. after a crazy week at phuket it was nice to have some peace and quite. dolly and paul were so welcoming and accommodating. the food was fresh and tasty. you can use the push bikes free of charge, doi saket was only a ten minute ride and there you can find some little dress shops, get your washing done or check out the temple. i would definately recommend this lodge, we will be back..!!
Great Place - You will be glad you stayed here”
From the moment we were picked up at the airport, we knew we were going to enjoy some genuine hospitality. We arrived at Jasmine Hills Lodge half way through our vacation and had been in a number of hotels up to that point. Paul and Dolly (owners) are naturals for the hospitality industry. They will do almost anything for you to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Because of their friendliness, guests tend to immediately relax and chat amongst themselves as if they have known each other for years. We met some lovely people during our stay (hi guys). This is the prime indication of good hospitality. Jasmine Hills restaurant menu is a reflection on Pauls love of flavours from Singapore together with their chefs (Peter) traditional Thai dishes with hints of his experience s from cooking in Australia. Without doubt and without exception we enjoyed our stay here. I could write a small book on how enjoyable it was but I guess it is better that you find out for yourselves. Paul & Dolly have wonderful expansion plans underway and, as with any other accommodation establishment, whilst there are some very minor items that need attention (all on the plans), we are adamant that these guys deserve the highest rating we can give. Thank you Paul & Dolly – we will be back! . . . soon Bryan & Jay
Perfect couple retreat”
Sometimes in life you take a chance and things work out beautifully. This was one of those occassions. The owners greeted us upon arrival and no request was out of the question. It was like meeting long lost family relatives and they were accepting and warm.
The Baan was lovely, very Thai. I had the basic room, only one local TV station, good wifi though so glad I could access news and entertainment. Had trouble angling the shower so it wouldn't go on the floor but had a bath so it was ok Only 1 towel per day which was pretty poor considering there were none for the Pool, a swim and 2 showers wasn't great with one towel.
Hands down the best
Comfortable, Peaceful, Fun”
Dolly & Paul made our stay at Jasmine Hills, Paul collected us late from the train station and drove us back to the lodge, stopping for take away en route. The room was very comfortable, with beautiful furnishings and linen, great thai style bed and fridge / tea & coffee. The bathroom was a little small for my partner and we seemed to flood the bathroom every time we showered but there was an outside shower, it was just a little cold at that time of year. At night it was very quiet but at 5am every morning we were woken by the monks call to prayer, we didn't mind but if you want to lie in this may not be the place. The breakfast room was huge, with very high ceilings and again beautiful furnishings, breakfast was light but delicious, they offered 3 choices. The pool area was lovely but it was a little chilly to swim at that time of year. We used the bikes and rode into town, there is a great restaurant called Mr Esan's which is worth a visit. Dolly also assisted with car rental which was appreciated. Overall, it was Dolly & Paul that made our stay, Dolly is so funny and has lots of fun, interesting stories. I'd like to visit again.
Comfy bed and good for relax a bit out of town ”
If you need to relax this hotel is your answer. My room was awesome. I opened up at the door and sit at the balcony in front of my room I can see big porn and also view of the temple on the mountain. Room was nice and comfy bed. But the location was a bit hard to find at google map so you need to call at the hotel to help so don't worry about language because all staffs can speak English fluently. Some from Malaysia. And if you need to go in town that's not far it's just about 15 km. they have bicycle for you to borrow fore free at the resort if you have no car. Well! I definitely will go again.
Perfect stay. You do feel like home, but better!”
I loved my stay at Jasmine Hills. The location is very nice to disconnect from reality. The staff is nice, and truly believe in a personal customer experience. You are not a number, you are a guest.. and you really feel like it. I'll definitely go back, and recommend it to anyone who want to stay in Chiang Mai for few days!
Great rest in family in a rural local environment”
The best we could ask for... We bet to be in a quieter location and yet close to the sites and activities in Chiang Mai, and we did not get it wrong. Very attentive and friendly staff, helped all the time... If we had doubts at the beginning regarding transport, they made everything in their hand to make it easy: pick ups, local transport, etc. A must for us and our young daughter.
Beautiful hotel in isolated location”
We stayed here for 4 nights in July. The airport pickup arrived promptly and was waiting for us when we came through arrivals. We were informed that our rooms were one above the other with a steep external staircase and they were concerned as to whether it was suitable as they hadn't noticed the ages of our children (5 and 2) which we had stated on the booking form, until they had allocated the room. The rooms were very nice, with local furniture and fabrics, but the external staircase was not ideal for young children. Also it is made of wood so we could here every footstep from the room above. We were there during the rice paddy field ploughing season and we were awoken at 5.30am each morning by the noise of the ploughs. The name of the hotel is slightly misleading - there is Jasmine but rather than being in the hills, it is in a flat basin. It is also very isolated with nothing within walking distance, although it was possible to borrow a bike and cycle to a coffee shop and 7-11 store. On the first day I asked if there was anything close by we could do or see, and the staff suggested we borrow a bike. I pointed out that my two year old cannot cycle, whereupon they suggested she rode in the grocery basket! Other than that the owners were very friendly and helpful. We used the hotels driving services to go to the zoo and various other sites, but in reality I think having your own transport is ideal due to the isolated location of the hotel. The food was very good too, especially the Malaysian range. Our children were made to feel very welcome and the owners adjusted dishes on the menu to meet their tastes, eg replacing strong flavoured sauces with vegetables. Otherwise there were no facilities for children.
Very relaxing, peaceful and easy”
I would, and will be recommending Jasmine Hills Lodge to anyone who asks. Friendly staff were most attentive and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. A wonderful place to relax with the Family, or for a romantic stay with a loved one
beautiful villa in the jungle ”
Jasmine Hills is a gem! We had a wonderful time. Paul and Dolly go out of their way to help you in every way we can. They can arrange airport pickup and take you to whatever destination you need to go to, for a reasonable price. Make sure its the right fit for you ahead of time - its very quiet and relaxing, but you are an hour from the city and an hour and half from elephant treks. You will spend a lot of time commuting if you plan to go out and about every day. If you'd rather relax by the pool or at the spa, then this place is great for you.
Great spa , very friendly owners, great relax”
From the minute I was picked up at the airport (must call in first) until I was dropped back, one would not stop enjoying the company of Paul and Dolly. they are genuine, hard working and honest people. Their attentiveness to your small needs is remarkable. I enjoyed my food and especially the spa, it was great. I will definitly come back to this lovely place.
Relaxing with an amazing setting”
From the minute Paul and Dolly met us at the airport we knew that we were going to love our stay at Jasmine Hills and we certainly were not disappointed. We specifically chose Jasmine hills for its location and great reviews. We had stayed in Bangkok for a few nights and although we loved the Chiang Mai city experience, we wanted to know that we could escape to the country every evening. Nothing beats the sound of the country as you cool down in the swimming pool in the evenings. We loved seeing the fireflies, hearing the frogs and breathing in the clean air. Dolly arranged scooters for us to rent for the duration of our stay and the mobility made the world of difference. We explored everything, from the city to the rain forests thanks to our "wheels." We have so many wonderful memories of Chiang Mai thanks to our gracious hosts, we will definitely return!
A taste of peaceful heaven!”
Awesome place run by great staff!!! If you seek tranquility and peace, away from the rat race of town, this place is to 'die for'! Lovely pool, surrounded by abundance of flowering shrubs ,and native bird life. Manage by Dolly and Paul ,who would be the most caring and attentive hosts we have ever encountered! Yes transport essential, we rented a Honda Jazz for 800 baht a day. Great Pitza place adjacent the main gate. Go for a microlight flight at Doi Saket airfield. Indulge at the truly amazing spa complex! Only 20 minutes from Chiang Mai, be sure to dine at the River View Restaurant! In all, we just did not want to leave, amazing quality and value for money!!!
