Great experience but...”

I had to wait for the clerk for about 30minutes. They are nice but not enough. I saw just only 2 staff there. It has a swimming pool and I love it!

Disappointed ”

Owner and some staff were abrasive, food was terrible, facilities (pool table) locked up early. Room was very basic. Would not recommend.

Lovely friendly place with a pool”

Really liked it here, very friendly and helpful owner. The place is a little way out of Chiang Mai (18km) - so if you need to travel into town. The owner has bikes for free and to hire to take advantage of that. The water park near by is a good day out.

So very pleased we chose Little Village for our stay in Chiang Mai! What it lacked in distance from the city, certainly made up for in service, facilities and gorgeous surroundings, with plenty to keep the kids occupied (swimming pool, games room, playground, free bike hire). It was actually very nice to come back to our remote Little Village haven after a busy day exploring the city. They also provided a free shuttle to the nearest bus stop which made staying out of town no problem really for daytime adventures. We absolutely LOVED staying here and have already recommended it to other friends.

Where to begin”

Maybe I didn't spend enough time researching where this place was located but it was such a disappointment. It is over 40 minutes from Chiang Mia located off the freeway on a little dirt road with not much else around. The only other guests that were there seemed to know the managers and just spent the day heavily drinking and it was very uncomfortable. Maybe at one point this was a nice little resort but it felt like a ghost town that has been sorely neglected. The room was dark and damp and the water would just switch on and off so you never knew when you would have water. The grounds were not kept up, often littered with beer bottles and cigarettes. Since there is nothing around the only place to order food is at the hotel and it was over priced and underwhelming. We found ourselves on bikes, provided by the place, riding on the highway looking for food and things to do since there is absolutely nothing to do there. The pool seemed semi well kept but it was awkward swimming in it because you felt like the male manager was watching you. The staff tried but the managers seemed to be MIA all the time and you felt like no one was really in charge. It was just a really uncomfortable, weird experience. I don't know why anyone would stay in such a remote location when visiting Thailand because there is absolutely nothing to do around there.

Our stay was great. We were two couples of friends and a baby. We had a whole bungalow and got organised as we wanted: drinks on our terrasse, food at the restaurant... The staff was every time very nice but also nearly invisible. We felt like at home!! We have te feeling to have had the hotel for ourselves.

from beginning to end our stay was perfect, we were picked up by the owner and had a beautiful room, the pool is amazing!!! we booked a tour to Doi Inthanon for the next day and it was great as well. I highly recommend this as a quiet place to catch your breath while enjoying Thailand's north country!

Family friendly, clean and comfortable”

We enjoyed our stay at Little Village Chiang Mai. Travellors should note that Little village is quite some distance from Chiang Mai - the cost of a taxi is 400 - 500 BHT each way. there is a smaller toen named Hang Dong about 10 minutes taxi drive or 25 minutes bike ride away. If you are looking to relax in a quiet environment and do not want to much sight-seeing in Chiang Mai, then I would certainly reccommend Little Village. however if you intend to visit several sights in Chiang Mai it would be best to stay closer. The Little Village Chiang Mai supplied good quality bikes for us to ride around the area which was great. The restaurant food is nice but is expensive compared to prices in Hang dong and Chiang Mai, but options are limited in the immediate area. The staff are very nice and rooms very clean.

Pleasant country stay with excellent service”

I had a very relaxing break at the Little Village in December 2013. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful place yet close enough to local attractions you can cycle to. They have a good range of food available with local and western food. Access to free bikes is great. Two thumps up for this little Paradise!!

peaceful resort and friendly staffs”

Everything its all be nice. However, the facility in room is not simply with the bigger and higher. Such as the both of the bar for clothes hanging and counter sink in the bathroom are too high not suitable for whoever's small size body. The entrance from main road should have the lighting on the sign of resort because it cannot see in the dark when clients may arrive in the night.

Had a very relaxing break here in November 2013. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a good range of food available with local and western food options.

Quiet location, nice gardens, a bit noisy”

The accommodation is quite ok, but it really depends on other guests. The bungalows allow all noise to come through, so if there happens to be families with noisy kids or guests that have a party until morning hours, you will surely hear it all and not get sleep. We woke up on couple of mornings to kids screaming at the play area in the middle. And woke up at night to yelling and singing of loud guests. So can't really recommend it, I wouldn't go again.

Pleasant country relaxation”

Great time spent here. Out in the sticks away from it all. Quiet and peaceful yet close enough to local attractions you can cycle to. Access to free bikes is great. They have loads and they work. The surrounding area is idwal for pootling around on a bike. Better than the middle of chiang mai. Within minutes you can be cycling alongside paddy fields and through local villages. Or via big c to cool off.. Great family friendly place I'd happily visit again. Just the relaxing spot we were looking for after our time in chiang mai City.

Lovely hotel, great bike rides, below par food”

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel gives you a chance to tune into and experience Thailand out in the sticks. The rooms are really good. The food was very below par - much more effort required here

Nice and quiet, very helpful staff, good pool”

We stayed here for two nights just torelaxafter a week in Chiang Mai. It was a great place to do so, and the hotel has nice surroundings for bike trips, which they also organise. Restaurant on the resort, but also nearby. Not convenient however if you want to visit Chiang Mai (45 minute drive).

A little paradise away from the busy streets”

we absoluteley love what hans and is wife too achieved. a very nice and quiet place to stay with a lovely swimming pool and dining area outside. if you fancy eating in your cottage each one has a big veranda with a nice view on nature. this is the ultimate way of relaxing. anything is possible just ask. hans and his wife are very hospitable and will do there utmost in giving you a good time. breakfast is nice and different every day. fancy lunch or dinner than nothing is impossible. from continental food or a nice authentic thai curry. nothing is too much. we really liked our stay and are very sorry we had to go. thank you very much again hans and too

Very clean and quiet location”

This hotel is like a homestay, out in the country and quite a ways from the city of Chian Mai. Be prepared for an isolated and relaxing time.
