Платный wi-fi!”
wi-fi платный и это очень странно! больше минусов не было!
Great location and overall experience was good.”
The hotel didn't have enough food options.
Great location in midtown, easy walk to MoMA and great restaurants like The Smith.”
Some minor problems: peeling wallpaper, loose curtain Velcro, lamp blocking artwork on wall; but otherwise the room was nice and we had a quiet and comfortable stay.
One day stopover”
I recently spent an overnight stay in the New York Palace whilst in the US on business. The hotel is highly recommended, from check in with the friendly Roxanna until sharing some banter with the bell boys on departure all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were well appointed and immaculately clean. Situated in the heart of midtown the hotel is a short walk from many of NYC’s highlights such as Times Square, Rockefeller plaza, 5th Avenue and Grand Central station. The beds were comfortable and we had a great stay. My only negative comment would be the charging of $15 per night for internet access which in this day and age seems excessive, why not charge an extra dollar per night on the room rate and let everyone have free access. Other than that ( minor niggle) we had a lovely stay and I would be delighted to return.
Just a wonderfully stunning hotel.”
We can to Lotte Palace for a short break of three days, from the moment we got there, we knew it was the hotel for us. Can’t fault them.
Великолепно”
We Love this hotel & I it’s the only place we stay when we visit NYC!!!!
Great Place”
This is an excellent hotel with clean rooms, professional staff, great facilities and a wonderful bakery. If the price is right, this is the best hotel in the area - midtown east.
Nothing special”
My first stay in an American hotel. We tried to check in early after a long flight and although room was not available they did allow us to freshen up at the spa. Other than that the receptionists were not too helpful. The room was clean and modern, although the shower was odd design and the toilet was overflowing. There is no free water available and not even a kettle to do your coffee. The entrance is amazing with a grand staircase and hall.
Bar staff”
Bar staff were inconsistent standard Served flat tonic and replacement bottle of tonic plonked down on table with attitude and service hit and miss and tables neede a good clean esp down below stairs. Female bar staff excellent.
Best Hotel Ever. Seriously.”
Initially I had reserved a basic room for two nights and was excited enough about just being able to stay at The New York Palace during my vacation in the city. When I arrived, however, they had upgraded me to a suite in the Towers at no additional charge because I had requested a smoking room and there were none currently available in the less swanky (though still incredible) areas of the hotel. Every member of their staff with whom I had the pleasure of interacting was extremely courteous, obliging, and knowledgeable - one concierge was even patient and kind enough to talk me through (over the phone, when my reception was bad) getting to Chelsea on the subway when I accidentally ended up going from downtown Manhattan all the way out to Coney Island, and he did so with a friendly smile detectable in his voice the entire time. I would recommend a stay of any length at the New York Palace to anyone who plans to be in New York City, but just know up front that it will break your heart when you have to leave.
Spring Break at NY Palace”
People knew who we were and greeted us personally, though it was our first visit. Every person (except one) was cheerful and helpful, no matter what their job. The one : Ice is not available except by calling for it (that's nice since no one has to be by a loud ice machine. But we had to call for ice and the guy shamelessly hung around to be tipped for it. My husband wasn't tipping for ice and there was this awkward standoff... The rooms and their views were great. The price was high for us - but we expected it and planned for it. Everything was clean and beautiful.
New York Palace”
My stay was very good,it is very well located, has nice rooms, not very good service though. The shower did not work the first morning and you notice until you take one so the first morning was not very pleasant.
It’s just ok ”
Checking in was a hassle, I booked through Agoda and they couldn’t find my name. I stood there so long while she called somewhere and someone on the phone was looking for me too. Idk why it was a hassle but I got worried. She apologized and said they are sending me something to my room for the trouble and that NEVER even happened. So I was disappointed from the start. As others have stated in reviews I’ve read, there’s no restaurant for dinner. There’s nothing to eat after lunch time. I was also missing coffee in my room! There’s no coffee pot! What hotel doesn’t have a Keurig these days? The room is basic. No refrigerator either FYI. The only thing I did like was the location. The downstairs bar was cute/quant, the espresso martini was to die for but the men that work in there were fighting amongst each other to the point I got uncomfortable. The waiters had something going on with each other. Not to mention the price of a cocktail was outrageous but so is everything in Manhattan.
Iconic hotel for the holidays”
Easy access to subway, 5th Ave, and all the festivities at the Rockefeller Center. Amazing courtyard with its own giant Christmas tree. Great hotel and highly recommended :)
Fantastic hotel”
The staff went above and beyond on our stay here! Because of some confusion with our reservation, we got upgraded to their best suite and it was WORTH IT.
Великолепно”
Beautiful hotel. Perfect location to ROCKEFELLER Center and St Patrick’s Cathedral. Wonderful staff. Had a great time!
not even water, hot water cattle in or even cup in the room!!! ”
before they use to have all these, i think hotel should not drop down their quality by doing these silly saving !! they can charge few bucks more but must have convenience to business traveler thx
So disappointed in a hotel that used to be the gold standard”
Have spent the last 10+ Christmas seasons at the Palace as part of post holiday girls trip with my daughters, sister and nieces. We choose the Palace for location, experience and because I stay there frequently as a business traveler. After my last few visits, I have two issues with the Palace. First, it hasn't kept up with other facilities, even after recent face lift: no 24 hour fitness access, limited lobby space, even "updated" rooms feel dated with limited AC that makes them feel hot and stuff in the winter. My biggest disappointment, though, is with the staff. After 3 separate people called us "girls" during our recent trip last week, my sister asked the man at the mail station not to use that term. She was leaving me a key at the time. When I picked up the key later, he said "give your sister a message for me. Tell her I think you're a very pretty girl." I was confused at the time, but enraged when I later realized he was mocking my sister for asking him to stop referring to middle aged woman as "girls." The gentleman was African American. I can't help wonder what reaction he would have had had we referred to him as a "boy." So, no, I wouldn't recommend the Palace to a friend, full stop.
Room not ready at 11.15pm so a downgrade offered!”
I booked this hotel for my client travelling from Sydney, Australia with her 13 year old daughter, via DFW to NYC which is approx a 24 hour trip door to door. On arrival at Lotte New York Palace hotel they were told their room wasn't ready and offered a complimentary drink while they waited. They were then advised the room still wasn't ready so they were offered a downgrade to a lower room type which they accepted because they were exhausted. I have emailed the hotel 2 or 3 times and they state they offered a complimentary room service meal and a refund for the downgrade, but they wouldn't refund the first night's stay. Not very smart PR, not very good service and very sloppy housekeeping if a room has to be vacated by 11am but still isn't ready by 11pm. Yes the hotel was busy being 19th December, did they sell the room twice - they claim not. A hotel of this calibre should to much, much betterl.
Not superb- just good”
First, let me say that the location is just superb. In the heart of everything. The property itself is quite grand, the rooms are large, the views are good. So what's wrong? Nothing in particular, but everything lacks that last bit of polish that separates the good from the great. Weirdness- no cupboards in our room, bed doesn't get made every day, no real breakfast options. The staff are brisk and efficient rather than warm. Perhaps by New York standards they are? NPS 7.5 in my eyes- not 9
