Excellent room & Cleanliness”
Everything about the hotel is good. Except they do not have electric kettle in the room. Need to walk 3 floors down to obtain hot water for making beverages. This is a major drawback. Also the water heater is not working and shower in the cold.
Fantastic choice. It was truly great experience. ”
Despite it's BNB hotel, The Nest Hotel is simply the best choice for any traveler in Chiang Mai. I had some doubts about location, service, and others, but it was best choice that I ever made. Family oriented service ('Bird' is the nicest person) was impeccable. Great price and location. I strongly recommend this small BNB style hotel.
The Nest is a great little B&B in the Nieman area. The rooms are very nice, clean and the hotel also has a unique decor incorporated with the owners personal history (family pictures), which I truly enjoyed. The staff is very attentive and presentation was excellent.
Not what we expected.”
Found this place on this site with excellent review stars. Went there to our disappointed with the room: very small (we literally have to step over our luggages to move around the room), shower was not hot, very dark and not clean. The staff was not very helpful. We asked if the shower could be hotter but the staff showed us a way to lower the pressure and make sure we do not turn the water heater full warm or it doesn't give us warm water. At best it lukewarm. They did move us to another room and that room was better - which was appreciated.
The staff at the nest were wonderful. We had accommodations for my husband and I as well as a room for our two adult children on a different floor. It was a good location not far from the airport and also close to lots of restaurants.
Expect to wake up at 6:30 every day”
This is not a hotel but rather a simple townhouse converted into a handful of rooms. No staff, no services, no facilities. Got woken up every single morning at 6:30 am by constantly slamming doors and noise till about 8:00 am. We first suspected some unruly guests until we realized that it was the Chinese owners family themselves!!
When I arrived at the hotel, I had problems with my ATM card and the owner of the Nest was kind enough to call my bank in Vietnam for me on her mobile phone and didn't expect any payment for in return. It was really great service and I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
value for money”
We check in late at 1030pm I booked 2 2bededrooms and 2 3bededrooms and was upgraded to 2 big suites, each allow 4 ppl. suite was very comfortable and clean. They allow one of the suite to be check out at 3pm upon our request because our flight is 540pm. good service.
Cutest Little B&B”
Lovely. Wonderful young couple running the place, super helpful & friendly. Nice room, clean and tidy, comfortable bed (by Thai standards, anyway). Great location by the 80's mall, and a short walk to all the cafes bars on the Nimmen Soi's. No pool though. Love it, will certainly go back.
Staying at the Nest”
Without a doubt the Nest is easily one of the better family owned hotels that I have stayed in. The manager, Bird, was extraordinarly helpful with his advice and his colleagues were equally helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood but close enough to a major mall and to restaurants. The room was clean and neat and well furnished. Just the right space for families and individuals who value comfort and the quiet.
Very quiet and confortable guesthouse”
I spent a week at the Nest hotel, it was a relaxing stay, with a nice decorated large room with a balcony, clean, with good internet access. Simple but delicious fresh breakfast, friendly staff and a airport lift at the end of my stay. The hotel location is very convenient, with lots of restaurants around, art studios, shopping mall and accessible to the swimming pool and gym of a nearby hotel. I will definitely like to stay again at the Nest.
Beautiful Room Design, Very Thai Design”
It was good. We extended our stay. The room is quite beautiful. The only thing is you have to climb to the 2nd or 3rd level. Breakfast is simple but its good enough with Bread, Cereal, Eggs and some thai food. Apart from that the house decor is very Thai and quite homely feel to it. Very Nice People.
Comfortable 3-night stay. Value for money.”
This hotel is a bigger version of bed and breakfast. It's clean and well-maintained with a personal touch. Although free Wifi is provided, there is no business center facility room. More suitable for leisure tourists rather than business travelers. Comfortable stay and value-for-money.
This is how more Thai hotels should look and feel ”
we were very unfortunate to stay at this hotel only one afternoon. we were so impressed with everything - from the spacious and beautiful room, from the tranquility of the place that felt like in a remote area, despite the fact that it is quite close to the center. we love the staff who was trying to be very helpful and forthcoming. they prepared breakfast for us earlier than usual so that we could go on our trip. we recommend it whole heatedly!
Quiet location near many restaurants”
The Nest Hotel does a great job catering to couples and families looking for a quiet alternative to the Old Town party scene. My wife and I wanted a quiet place and The Nest delivers. Set on a side street a short walk from a large shopping mall and a short walk from many very nice (but still cheap!) restaurants in an up and coming area of town. The room included a nice buffet breakfast of eggs, sausages, fruit, cereal, muesli, and yogurt. Also free coffee/tea all day. It's a great place if you want quiet. If you want a party scene look elsewhere. It's a long but doable walk to the old town. Learn how to use the red trucks to save yourself some money.
Wonderful BnB, Great Location”
We were elated to arrive at The Nest the moment we arrived, being greeted by beautiful decor, wonderful staff and a beautiful clean room. When we decided to extend our stay here, the staff were helpful and moved things around to accommodate us. The atmosphere is relaxed, quiet; a perfect place to stay if you want to have a relaxed stay in Chiang Mai. Walking distance to Nimmin road area which is packed with cafe's and restaurants, and easy access to transportation to anywhere in the city. The breakfast tables set up reminds you of sitting in a friends' kitchen where you can chat with other travelers over a cup of complimentary coffee or tea. Overall, wonderful!
excellent guest house”
we loved our stay here! on arrival the owner mentioned that they had only twin room available. then he upgraded us to the suite as he realized that a twin would not be ideal for a travelling couple. the rooms and the entire hotel are tastefully furnished in thai style. very quiet location but only 5 min walk to the large mall. we got great help to find the best and cost efficient transportation to the sights like doi sutep or the night safari. on departure, we were provided a free shuttle to the airport.
Very nice boutique hotel with friendly staff”
We were originally staying on the outside of the old city on the east side but our hotel booked up and we had two extra nights. I wanted to experience a different side of the old city so we looked west, and that is when we found The Nest. When we arrived we found out the room we booked was no longer available so we were upgraded for free to the suite. It was a great surprise. The best part about it was the two rooms, our baby could go down in the far room with the fan, aircon, and sleep machine and she wouldn't here us talking in the other room (there is no door between them) or see the light. Plus it had a big soft rug which was perfect as she was just learning to stand up. Bird one of the hotel staff was most helpful, when we arrived walked us to the mall and pointed out a few things to us. He helped us arrange a taxi to go see Doi Suthep Temple, and arranged our taxi to the airport. I would highly recommend staying here. Breakfast buffet was good also, but get there early as it sits there until 10.
Nice hotel in convenient location”
Hotel was down a quiet street less than 10 minute walk to the main street in Nimman that has a bunch of cafes and restaurants. 5 minute walk the other way to a large shopping mall. tuk tuk anywhere in and around the old city was 100 baht and hotel will call for you. They picked us up and dropped us at the airport for no charge since we were staying for 3 days. The family (mom and 2 sons) that owns this are super nice and always available. Its more like a big house inside with a living room, dining room and several bedrooms with attached baths on each floor. Shoes are left at the front door. Room was decent size with 2 twin beds, firm but not like a rock and a good sized bathroom. Decoration was great with all solid wood furniture. The water pressure wasn't great and shower would get weak for a second and then come back on full pressure with a shot of water that could be very hot, but you could adjust the water heater temp right in the shower to avoid getting burned. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard stuff. If you got up late it was'nt that hot and they did run out of some things. And yes, they really should make fresh coffee and not instant, but the instant was available 24 hours.
Excellent hotel ! Very clean ! Daphne was very kind and goes out of her way to help you.
