Great place for Business or Personal Reasons”

I loved this hotel, they have a great glass elevator as well. The cleaning staff was great and they really do their job spotlessly. The reception staff was excellent as well, they helped us settle in quickly and comfortably. We didn't choose a breakfast option, but we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean comfortable but cold due to lack of heater, I tried the panel heater provided but was not working. The TV was too small and the remote controller was broken and had to keep on fiddling with the cover and batter to make it work. Besides this it is a nice hotel.

The smoking area is super chilled, no disturbance or none or that. Since I love smoking, that really stood out for me. And also the staff, they friendly and mind their own business, and also attend to matters ASAP. If there’s a membership or sum’n like that I’d sign up to have a permanent stay permanently, That’s how great it is. I’ll definitely book right there next time, keep up the good work

The breakfast was amazing. Very impressive. The staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are surprisingly clean, considering the stench that just lingers. The duvets are clean but torn and damaged. Overall my kids loved it.

Worst night ever”

We got to the property only to be told that our room was given to other people. The hotel was full so we were transferred to a cheap B&B for the same amount that we paid at morning star. We could not even get a double bed after specifically asking for it. Clearly morning star is so greedy that they would take more bookings than they can accommodate with the intention of sending you to other cheaper places. I will never ever book there again.

The lady standing at your entrance gate should always wear a smiling face...”

Hospitality at Morning Star Express Hotel”

One was well received and received staff assistance with the door card key. Its electronic system was somehow sleepy and the friendly cleaning and maintenance personnel both male and female took turns to sort out the matter as quickest as they could. Breakfast was well prepared and staff were quick to clean up after each serving. Well done my beautiful and handsome people. You are all STARS! Keep on shining.

On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, I didn't get her name but she was great.we went upstairs to our room, Wow the room was so clean,the towels nice and fresh and that chocolate on the bed,I was speechless.I loved the shower gels and body lotion Idea,tea and coffee facility stocked was stocked up with goodies.downstairs at the bar the guys were great as well we watch the soccer there sipping our favorite drinks we didn't eat at the restaurant but everything looked awesome from tables to meals,you could tell that the patron were enjoying their meals..thank you so much Morningstar my stay with you was awesome we will definitely come back

I had a problem checking in. Because according to their system my booking was declined. Because of insufficient funds from my bank account.I made an eft but that was not the case I had to show them my confirmation letter from agoda.still that was not sufficient. I had to draw a statement from my bank account to show that the payment was successfully. Only than I was permitted to check in. However It is not my first time @ the hotel.love it & I'll come back again

Great overnight stay”

We were here for one night and were very pleased with our experience. The staff were very welcoming, no problem with check-in. Did not try the buffet dinner but had a delicious fish and chip dinner in the bar area. Our room was was small but functional and spotless, slept great. When we asked about a taxi in the morning they had their driver take us to the train station! No problems during our stay.

Full marks in all areas. A really big plus factor is the free shuttle bus service within a 5km radius of the hotel. This was really helpful for visiting sights within the main suburban area as well as dropping off at the nearest Gautrain station. Many thanks to Mike for the football conversations and also Paulene front of desk for assisting with my emails.

Rooms are small, bit dated, clean well maintained. Staff super friendly and professional. Only critical thing hotel is on a busy one way street. Hotel front is small and at the time under renovation. Very easy to miss. Hotel should install a clear visual sign.

Good value for money”

We had to travel to Pretoria to deal with family related business. We had a small baby and my older son 11yr in a family room. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The only issue I had was that there was a conference and I suspect that it was the conference patrons that were up early for breakfast but they stood in the hallway for over 20 minutes outside our door laughing and talking at just after 6am... I finally had to get up and stick my head out the door and ask them to please lower their voices as we have a sleeping baby. I didnt and would not let my baby scream all night and disturb other people so I would have hoped for the same courtesy from guests. Eventually they made their way out of the hall. Ultimately this matter was not so much a problem with the hotel unless you consider the lack of soundproofing on the internal corridors but rather the guests. For the money I was willing to spend on accommodation this hotel was perfect.

Good morning My ist night experience at morning star express hotel was a nightmare due to the cleanliness and hygiene of the place there were bed bugs that had bitten us so there I Was forced to check out this morning before the time expected and look for other accommodation so I would like to please be refunded.
