Stayed here 2 nights, booked and paid in advance. Not sure what other guest houses are like in the area! Power stick to activate electric in the room, and when we arrived back around the 10pm and tried to go to bed around 11pm the light switch for the fluorescent light was broken. I told the host and she said she would get it fixed in the morning — which she did! But when I asked what we should do tonight she didn’t know and said there wasn’t another room. I asked “so we have to either sleep with the light on or have no fan?” And she laughed. Luckily my partner was able to remove the bulb for the night and the next day it was fixed. The room could use a fresh coat of paint or a good wall cleaning. There is a kettle but no mugs unfortunately. Good location, close to walking street, lots of food, the bus mall and the museum/post/cathedral if you’re willing to walk. The alley way feels really neat and authentic and it’s deep enough into the block you don’t hear much noise outside. If you have time to book ahead there’s better options for the same price.

Great budget hotel”
Well we had some bad luck, but that was not the hotel's fault. Right next to the hotel there was some kind of funeral ceremony that lasted all day and, especially, night. There was very loud music all the time with a short break from 4:30 am to 6 am. Anyway, the room has a hot shower, good mattress and air conditioning. The furniture was very outdated though. The ladies that manage the place are very friendly and helpful and can book tours and onward travel for you. It's in a small alley right in the heart of the backpackers area and (the second night) surprisingly quiet.

clean, good location”
I booked a bigger room with balcony (paid), but i just get a normal room (which i believe is cheaper). Anyway, the guest house is clean, the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Bright, clean, friendly host”
I got the exact double bed room in the pictures. I am very picky about cleanliness. And I am satisfied with this place. No stains anywhere, the room looked very polished. Just a note: curtain is fairly thin so it's quite sunny to sleep in. Location: Just a minute walk into a small alley from main street. Typical Vietnamese housing :D Hosts are extremely nice, smile all the time.

I booked and paid a room via agoda. When I arrived thy told me that they have no room left. So they brought me to another guesthouse which was awful. I did not stay there and I did not get the money back.

The owner is a really nice woman!”
I had my best experience in HCMC when stayed in My Home Guest House. The owner of guest house is a old lady , she's a really really nice woman, always smile and support us anytime we need. Just 20m to Bui Vien Street. Room is clean and bright with window, furniture is good but doesn't have hot water in bathroom. Btw, it's still good!

Good: Close to packagers street with a lot of resto around, with a cute cat wants to be petted. Offering taxi to airport services of 180,000vnd. Room rate is attractive. Consideration: As a guesthouse owned and operated by family, I do believe the woman is always trying best to facilitate our needs just that somehow I did not feel she is too friendly tho while there’s closing time ard 10pm that you need to bother the host to open the door for you, that I wondered if it’s good for those who like spending time outside until mid night.. By the way I had cycled from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh city. I like da nang the most, as a tourist place compared with other cities.

disappointed living”
we booked the room here, but when we arrived, I showed the booking picture to the hostress, she told me the room on our booking page was not that price which should be more expensive. Finally, we were arranged to another hotel in front of my homestay hotel. The hostress told us that it was her mother's hotel. We thought we were tricked by her. In all,pretty bad disappointed hotel.

Absolute gem!!”
We feel so fortunate to have found this place in such a busy city! Down a busy hem but we stayed on the 5th floor with beautiful serenity. The host was one of the best we have had as she organized everything for us and sent us off with some of the most delicious egg Bahn Mis we have had! Would highly recommend!

Better than expected, but”
After the description I have read, I could only tell, that we had unlimited toilet paper and good towels. The room,s condition was quiet good with enough space. It was a really quiet area for SaiGon in walking distance to food and stores. But when we arrived after a 11 Hour bus ride, we were told in the evening that they have no room for us. I won,t blame the owners directly, but this happend the second time in Vietnam. And I don,t believe their excuses anymore. Just think they often over book their rooms. And it was always a *downgrade* to a much older room in another Guesthouse. In this case 1 of 3 nights.

Spotless room, A/C, hot water. I thought it was a bargain for $18. Only con was having to ring the bell at the front door to come in late.
