Район просто отличный: линия метро в аэропорт, городское метро, дешёвые рынки, современный Бангкок. Из этого хостела всюду можно дойти пешком. Кухня оборудована, бесплатный кофе/вода/чай, но холодильник маловат, на всех гостей не хватает. Чисто! Даже удивительно как у персонала получается поддерживать чистоту с таким количеством гостей. Тихо. Жилые помещения на втором этаже. В общей комнате нет ничего, кроме кроватей, душевые также на первом этаже, и это, как ни странно, удобнее, чем в номере - меньше трафик)) Единственное: были бы крючки для одежды. Есть минус: ночью под кондиционером тяжело спать (именно в этом хостеле, в др местах спала нормально): нос закладывает, все кашляют и чихают постоянно, возможно он старый. Но без кондиционера просто ад. Атмосфера мне очень понравилась, одновременно дружелюбная, но и не навязчивая. Не знаю как объяснить, но из всех хостелов, в которых была в поездке по странам ЮВА - этот идеален.

good for solo travelers”

I'm not sure about location it's pretty close to the malls and station. but people there..were so nice. If you are a solo traveler and don't know what to do first, try here. this hostel makes you feel calmer than other big hostels. there are staffs would help you if you need. and if you don't want to buy food...there is a kitchen so you can make your own food! . also rooftop is pretty nice as well. there were some activities like going out to the night market together ..something like that..probably not everyday..but try it!..

Needs a lot of improvement and cleaning”

This hostel clearly did not meet my expectations, it may meet them to other people, it is mainly for a low budget travelers seeking for a good location at an affordable price or for a place to get familiar before spending more money on accommodation or if you are the typical person that just wants to have beers, watch a movie and talk but don't care about anything else. Don't get me wrong, this hostel has it's public and some of the stuff working there offer a very good vibe, they cook and gather people to socialize, however, the hostel is often dirty, bins are left overflowing nearly all day, tons of bottles or beer or pizza boxes left in the kitchen, rubbish in the bins, etc... I found a lizard running around a toilet and a huge dead cockroach in a shower too. What freaked me out was the fact that some of the staff DID NOT change the bed linen, just put it again, folded it and see you later, actually I only saw one guy actually changing linen in 5 days in my room, not for me.

Chatty staff, lockers available, bring your own lock”

The property is in the back alley. It's ok if you smoke your cigarettes in front of the property, use the ashtray. Cracking open a couple of beers is ok. Overall a "hip" kind of hostel for backpackers. Floorboards creak so walk lightly if you get back late at night. Toilet had a sign saying not to flush toilet paper down the hole, bin is provided for your used toilet paper. Bidet hose is provided. Room is ok at night, in the day it got a bit noisy from activity in the area. It just felt good to be back here again. Staff at the counter have me a lollipop. 😀

You pay for what you get”

I stay here for 1 nite because need to go airport the next day. 10 persons in a room, it is very noisy. no curtain attached to the bed, no privacy while sleeping. location is ok, inside the alley, beware of dogs. But the hostel is clean. No free towel provided, locker you have to prepare your own lock. No aircond during day time in the room (very hot). Because the price is very cheap and location at Phaya Thai, I have no complains, we pay for what we gotten.

The location is pretty good because it is near a train station. The staff makes sure that the place is clean and helps you with all your needs. Plus, I got to meet awesome people! I will stay again here if I will be back in Bangkok.

My Favourite Hostel in BKK (find out why i keep coming back)”

Siam Journey just ticks all boxes: Location, Atmosphere, Facilities, Staff, Cleanliness. I've been coming back since 2015. First time i went because of it being close to the airport link. The other times because of the atmosphere. It's very cozy, chilled out but still social. SJ seems to attract a wide variety of people from young to old, asians, western people, families. Love it! The volunteers at reception are often brilliant and helpful. Daniel the current manager really cares about keeping SJ a place to call home. To me, it is a proper, authentic hostel, even though they call themselves a guesthouse and offer a few private rooms too. In any case, i'm sure you'll enjoy it. The location can't be faulted too. Very central, just two bts stops from siam. Still very quiet, tucked away in a tiny soi. A proper thai neighbourhood with a amazing food street nearby. I think the thais living there are mostly muslim so you should find halal food too (but i'm not sure). Top choice in BKK!

Super-convenient for BKK airport!”

Very short walk to Phaya Thai BTS station, where you can access the Airport Rail Link train. Our Budget Twin room had air-conditioning and a fan, which worked great. The staff were very nice, and everything was kept very clean. They allowed us to checkout late and shower before our flight!

Cozyness in Bangkok”

Siam Journey is a cozy place in busy Bangkok. Has a big common area with Sofas and Movienights, also a kitchen and fridge to use and of course waterrefill. It is located in a backstreet thats why its really quiet. But you have everything near, many 7/11 but also a nice Foodstreet and of course th best Pat-Thai-Location in Bangkok(Trip-Adviser) . They also make some Game- Evenings and Barbecue on Saturday on the Terasse. The owners are really funny and also kind people. Thats why the helped me carry my oversize-luggage to the nearest station, to have some fun. 🤪Thank you so much💋🙏🏻

The restroom need improvement.”

The water from the shower room go underneath the wall to the restroom and caused the floor wet. It’s better to have a dry restroom floor.

Excellent location and great value for money ”

It's next to the airport line and you can walk to many places easily from there. I like how it's tucked away in a residential area, giving you a taste of local life. The hostel is cute and clean and the staff are friendly.

Great connectivity! ”

Very close to Phaya Thai station, so very convenient if you are in Bangkok to go to other cities. Stayed here between flight from Krabi before flying back home, was perfect. The people here were really nice and helpful, cosy place and food market very close, so would have been fun if I could have stayed longer! When I was there they just had a cockroach exterminator so there was a cockroach on the floor, but dying. So they put effort into hygiene.

I stayed here for 03 nights. The location near Phaya Thai BTS (5mins for walk), so much convenience to go other places (I walked to Pratumam Market to exchange money-15mins, go Ayutthaya by BTS and bus, go Termninal 21, Chatuchak, ...) you can save time and big amount of money. You will meet the most friendly staff ever in the world here, specially Ms. KC-she is very nice and helpful. Will back here for next trips.

A truly wonderful stay! ”

This hostel is a definite recommend! The location is amazing, a 5 minute walk from the BTS station and airport link. The hostel itself is really nice, big spacious rooms, lots of toilets/showers, 2 chill out areas, free coffee, tea and water and really lovely staff. It has a very welcoming feel with film nights and the staff are always happy to help you!

Great place to meet other travelers ”

The staff at this hostel was great! They organized a lot of spontaneous outings around Bangkok with whoever was around. The common areas were spacious and there were always people hanging out. The guesthouse is located very close to a bts station, so easy to get around, although it's hard to find the first time.

A real Guesthouse in BKK”

Good location. Not easy to find at night cause its in not on the main road but quite place! Not a party hostel! Some people were sleeping all the time. Not professional staff (some backpackers work there for free accomodation) but ok for the price i paid. I've made a lastminute booking and arrived 30 minutes after. Nobody was here to welcome me and the lady told me they were full and she had to wait the owner to fix my reservation. (she showed me the rooms plan !) It was prepaid with Agoda and i check 2 hours after it was still available on different websites. i came back at 5PM and they moved somebody to give me a free bed!
