It was my 1st time to be there, Gosh i love the place 😌 it’s so cozy and the staffs are very nice. Not to mention they upgraded my room in to a deluxe with a pool view which made it perfect. Good for children and young at hearts too. The area is quite big. Kudos to the staffs there who never get tired of serving the customers. ☺️
Value for money. Considerate. We booked 4 rooms. Though very late checkin, We arrived 12pm and allowed us to checked-in 3:30pm, wasted our time waiting at the lobby to wait for our checkin time even though there are only few guests in the counter.
Great place for families with kids, there are many pools to choose from. The hotel is located quite far away from any restaurants so the only choice you have is to eat from the restaurants on site which was fine as the food was affordable and yummy. Would definitely stay again!
excellent place to relax and have fun”
great staff, great facilities and pool
We love Solea! ”
Room was spacious & clean, balcony was a plus! Staff were friendly and accommodating. My daughter enjoyed the aqua play area and with the inflatables. Will definitely be back.
Very friendly staff”
Everyone was so friendly. I sometimes asked for things that are not in the buffet for my kids. They would go out of their way for those requests. I love that they have all different water activities. I would, however, suggest that they clean the pool where the floating playground is located. It has a lot of moss and it's very slippery when you fall into the pool. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.
Cons: During breakfast they are short of staff. No glass for juice, coffee and even bowl for cereal. 5 minutes waiting time. They also give our tables to other 2 guest. When we get back there are some guest setting in it already. They tried to make excuses that guest had transfer by themselves. But I noticed that the table for 4, was now for 2(split). No guest would move that table by themselves. Water park it’s not included. Separate fee @P600 per head. So if you’re after this a suggest book @Jpark.
I love this resort hotel.”
Pros - i don’t know why i was upgraded to sea view. Really thankful, i love the view. I love my room. It’s clean and modern. The place is huge. There are so many pools. Will definitely go back with my family. The staff are all super nice and helpful. Cons - the hot water shower was defective. Just like what ive read at the reviews. It’s really hard to get a ride on the way out because of the location. Especially in the morning when you have to catch an early flight. No choice but to take the hotel’s transfer which is 1k. The towels are all old. Maybe because of the water they use. I’m not sure if I liked the food at Earth. I guess not really.
Awesome beach trip”
Pools are my kids favorite and they really enjoyed the place. I appreciate all staff that went the extra mile to make our stay very memorable and fun! Love the mocktails that were served as well. Great choice of buffet meals too!
Good resort not a good location”
I'll start with the pros. Staff were excellent. Simply amazing staff. The grounds and pool were very nice. The rooms were clean and nice and air-conditioning was very good. Cons. Place is practically in the middle of nowhere. Take an hour or more to go to one of the good malls. That's not including the wait on the taxi and the surcharge for ordering a taxi. So basically they charge customers huge prices because they can. It's not convenient or practical to leave the resort to buy reasonably priced food. Although the food is mostly good and big portion size. Overall it's a good resort but I wouldn't stay again.
Nice place but the waterpark is not included in the accommodation”
It was indeed a very nice place to stay. My kids loved the pool that they wanted to go swimming all throughout the day. One thing that I'm concern is when you look at the place in the internet, the waterpark is included in the accommodation because it is shown as one of the activities that the kids would look forward to. But then it was too late that I found out that it is not included and you have to pay for the entrance fees of P 600.00 for adults and 300.00 for children. I just hope they would indicate that it is excluded from the accommodation. It was one of the reason why I booked for Solea because of the waterpark but got disappointed upon learning that it's not. I was surprised and happy that I got upgraded from cityview room to seaview room. Thank you so much for that
The large pool with the volleyball net was too shallow, 8-12”.
good food, clean room and superv view
Great hotel with nice rooms and many pools to enjoy”
Staff were great and helpful, awesome amenities lots of fun for kids and adults to enjoy
The Staffs are very very very RUDE AND AWFUL”
The staffs here are very awful especially the lifeguards. They don't respect their own fellow filipino people, instead they focused and adore more the foreigner people. We as a Filipino are a guest too. So I think every customer deserves the respect and the treatment should be the same for every guest/customer. Overall the Hotel is good, but the staffs are just too much disrespectful
High Expectations but Meh”
Lobby restroom was dirty, so were the shower rooms near the restaurant. The restroom in our room did not smell very good as well, and the elevator was a little dirty. During breakfast it took a while before we were seated (long queue) and honestly the selections were not that worth the wait. If you bring kids, you pay 450 for each, and yet the menu was not something you’d say that’s really very kid friendly. And for someone who does not eat pork — i had very limited food options. Given that normal price range is at 7-8k i had high expectations. Unfortunately a miss for me. On the upside though, pools were lovely, complete with lifeguards and friendly staff. Tbh the place was beautiful, so it was truly a waste that the whole experience wasnt as good.
there was no hot water in the shower, only warm salty water comes out. breakfast buffet was terrible, messy and dirty and salty and just not edible and so is dinner buffet. the staff was friendly and helpful but this reaort feels like youre in korea and china with all guests coming from all those countries. bring your own food and drinks when coming here. 1 small bucket of ice is 55pesos. rediculous but true. the beach is useless but the pool is huge.
Not What I Booked”
* Room - we were given 2 rooms that were far from what we booked. We were placed in a building that was far from all the ammenities with NO VIEW at all when we expected that we booked both rooms with seaview. When we got there, we were just told that SEAVIEW is just the name of their other building. The excuse was just really lame. And when we booked the room at AGODA, 12 and 17 yrs old were still considered under kids therefore they were ok to share 1 double bed. But when we got there, they were gonna charge us an additional 2,500 for the 17 yr old per night which totals to 7,500. I had to strongly insist my point which took us more than 30 mins just to complete check in. The safety deposit box in our room was just for display as it was not functioning. The faucet in the bathroom was also defective. Not worth the 11,000 per night per room (x2 rooms) that we paid for... it was an ugly room for that price point.
Be Warned: 3 Star Resort at Best”
We stayed at Soela for 6 nights so we had a good amount of time to experience the resort and many of its pitfalls. When we checked in, we were given the wrong room. It did not have a king bed, nor a bath, as per what we booked. The toilet did not flush and the TV had horrible static. We complained and was told there was no other rooms available and that we would need to stay the night in the room we were given. Maintenance fixed the broken toilet which then broke again the next morning. The next day we were given a new room, which sadly wasn't that much better. The resort claims to be 5 stars, but this is far from true. It would be a 3 star resort at best. Many of the issues although may seem minor, when combined equate to a really disappointing experience. Some of the issues include housekeeping always forgets something (towels, water, toilet paper, coffee etc) which means you have to constantly call room service each day, sheets and towels are dreadfully old and stained, pool towels are the room towels that are heavily stained - disgusting, there is mould and cracks/flakey paint throughout the bathroom and rooms - there is a real lack of craftsmanship and quality in the upkeep and repairs of the rooms - russty taps, broken door handles, balcony doors that don't seal closed etc. Water pressure and hot water is another frustrating issue, there is never sufficient pressure (a garden hose sprinkler has more pressure) and the water is never hot - Luke warm at best. The continuous issues that caused inconvenience and frustration during our 6 nights just combined to leave us feeling disappointed with our stay. There was some good points - food is good and well priced for a resort, pools are clean and nice, plenty of sun beds, staff at the bar and restaurant are pleasant and the games room is very nice. We wouldn't recommend staying at Solea unless it is a last resort. We wished we had paid a bit more and stayed at the movenpick resort down the road.
