Love this place!”
Stayed here several times. Really love this place, really friendly staff, great location (near rambuttri alley and khaosan road, but no noise from those streets) clean facilities, free breakfast, easy place to meet awesome people. I am definitely coming back here when im in Thailand again!
Khaosan Road Hostel”
Really close to Khaosan Road and really anything you might need (laundry, 7-11). Walkable to Wat Pho and Grand Palace (20ish mins). What I didn't know is that Khaosan Road is far from the train system so the only way to get around that area is walking/tuk tuk/taxi. Very nice staff and good atmosphere to hang out in the lobby and chill with the very cute cats!! Small staircase though so be aware if you have big luggage.
My favorite hostel so far!”
I really loved Suneta and here's why; Location: right by Khaosan road but not on it so it's really quiet which is great for sleep. Cleanliness: all the facilities were very clean and cleaned every day. A/C: common area was always nice and chill and the rooms were very cold at night. Beds: super comfy beds with a curtain for privacy. Wifi: worked awesome Staff: the staff were all amazing and friendly. They all spoke English very well and were able to teach us a lot about Thai culture. They also have four adorable cats. They also helped us book a tour. Atmosphere: this hostel didn't have party vibes. Instead it was super chill where you could meet people (then go out an party). 10/10 would recommend!
Amazing place to experience Bangkok for the first time!”
I loved my experience here. Such a clean and comfortable hostel with a great atmosphere. This hostel is located very near to Khao San Road but is far enough off that you don't have any noise or chaos issues. The common area is nice and there are tons of travellers so it is easy to meet people. There are organized tours on certain days and they are also a very good way to meet fellow travellers. The breakfast is superb. The cats are adorable. And all of the staff were super friendly, especially May who led the tour group! I enjoyed it so much that I stayed again at their location in Chiang Mai.
One of my favorite hostels”
I always end up coming back whenever I’m in Bangkok. One of my favorite hostels I’ve stayed in during my three months in Asia. The staff is seriously amazing and they’re always willing to help and accommodate any request. They have let me check out a few hours late, store my bags and shower before my flights multiple times which is so helpful when you have a late flight! Dorms and bathrooms are clean and air con is always good. Free breakfast is pretty standard, and they have free coffee, tea and snacks all day. Also free drinking water which is awesome. And just a side note they have the cutest cat ever...
Perfect first hostel of the trip”
Suneta was in the perfect location, just round the corner from the busy streets of khoa san, but far enough away for a chilled atmosphere. I felt super safe here as a solo female traveller and met great people. I will definitely stay again when in Bangkok at the end of my trip. Staff are all lovely and breakfast is simple but starts you off for the day. I stayed in a cabin room, which was great privacy yet still the dorm vibe. Showers were powerful and clean. Thanks again!!! P.s I miss the pregnant kitty!
Good Place for stay at Kaosan”
Good - Good breakfast (incl. corn flakes and yoghurt - a rarity in Asia :-) ) - Very nice staff - Low prices for beer etc. - Free use of printer - If you decide saying in Kansan area, this is a nice, calm place Could be better - Common areas are rather dark. No real windows. But we knew that before.
Will definitely stay here again. The hostel is so cool and awesome to stay. A few minute walk to khaosan road and very accessible to street foods and other local foods. Awesome service from the girl staff who took the night shift from june 7-10! Actually, all of their staff are helpful and awesome! Thank you. Will definitely stay here again when I go back to Bangkok. :)
Clean, perfect location, good vibe, stellar breakfast”
Been here 2 times, totalling 14 nights. The location is only 2min walking from all the fun spots (Rambrutti/KSR), but without the noise. Big breakfast options, for free: eggs, cereal, toast, sausages, watermelon, chicken nuggets, small salad. There's tea, coffee and cookies all day long. For some reason, the setup with only a few tables (with Djenga) makes for a good vibe. Very easy to meet new people. Mixed crowed of all ages, but most are single backpackers. The cabins are great (quiet room, very private) but I personally prefer the mixed dorm. It's cheaper and the curtains let the A.C. in better, so it's cooler to sleep. The cabins do have a private little fan though, but with limited effect when you've shut your cubicle completely off. Plenty of showers / toilets, very clean. Staff isn't very talkative, but kind. Wifi isn't always stellar.
First solo trip”
It was my first time travelling solo and I was glad I made Suneta my first stop. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Location is fantastic. It is surrounded by food places so you can get food even in the wee hours of the night. There is a 7-11 nearby. It is a quick 2 min walk to Khao San road. So you are away from all the noise and party but still near the good food areas.
Best budget hostel in Bangkok”
I did not expect much from this hostel initially. However, my expectations were exceeded after my two nights stay here. I stayed in the cabin bed room and was surprised by the level of privacy offered by the cabin beds(with closable sliding doors). The hostel was a little bit away from khao sahn road, which was good for keeping the noise level down at night for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was very basic, but sufficed as a simple snack before going out in the mornings. The staff was also very helpful and spoke English fairly well. I will stay here again when I come to Bangkok.
It's really a nice experience to have one day in Suneta, the staffs were so kind and the room is so nice and safe. It's near the Khao San road but not noisy in the night. Definitely will be my choise again in my next trip in Bankok.
friendly staffs with great english”
Great location. close to street market, street food, money changer, convenient store and tourist attractions. the living room and bedroom also clean. the mattress in cabin bed is a bit thin, so I felt like sleeping on the hard surface. Bathrooms are clean but unfortunately they become dirty in the evening maybe the staffs only clean it once a day in the morning. Overall, it is great hostel
Clean and Unique Hostel on a busy street”
Stayed in the cabin room for the first 2 nights from 28-29 April and then downgraded to the dorm for my final night. This (cabin bed) is quite a luxury with an LED tv screen in each of the cabin bed, and you get a sliding cabin door which allows you privacy (if you do need). However, its harder to interact with other people. Overall a really clean and unique room to get a good night sleep.
As always - Suneta was AWESOME”
I had previously stayed at Suneta, left for one night, realized my mistake and came back :) Very much the best hostel experience I have ever had. The owners and staff are the nicest people ever, and go above and beyond in helping travelers - even people who aren't staying at the hostel. So very impressed. This is what Thailand is all about :) highly recommend
best hostel ever!”
After 3 months in southeast asia - i can easily say this is the BEST hostel ive ever stayed at. the owner and staff are literally the nicest, most fun people. the hostel is beautiful and clean, immaculate bathrooms and a big common area. highly, highly recommend. the location is perfect too - 2 minute walk to khaosan, but on kaisri so its quiet!
definitely will come back again!”
I love the staff here, they're very helpful and friendly! I love the cabin dorm, own privacy and can be locked when u're out. toilet are very clean, close to 7-11. walking distance to khaosan road and boat jeti. really enjoy to stay here, definitely will come back again!
Agood price for safety, cleanliness & quiet hostel”
Had a nice 3 night stay in Suneta Khaosan. Might be slightly on the pricy side for dorm rooms but its worth the safety of the place, cleanliness location and hospitality of the hostel. The interior design of Suneta Hostel is really nice. Getting to Kraisi Rd, where the hostel is, is easy and its best to keep a direction map provided by Suneta (written in Thai) to the hostel. Helped a lot. Suneta is recommended for those who wants a good night rest, as long as you have considerate dorm-mates. There is no curfew as they have an access key for every one who stays in Suneta which is a plus for security. If you want privacy, Suneta's cabin beds are for you. You can lock up your bags in the cabin when you are out for the day no need any additional lockers. The beds can be improved though as it can be stiff. Meeting new friends/travelers are quite minimal as everyone has their cabins closed, you only meet them at the shared toilets or at the main sitting area. The pantry is clean and breakfast is enough to keep you going for the morning. Filtered drinking water is provided. Overall a wonderful stay, 2 thumbs up. Would definitely recommended it.
Capsule hotel surprisingly good”
Not as bad as you expect, as small compartment with sliding door, a little like a bunk but quite spacious. Up and down, can be hassle getting up to top cabin. Clean toilets. Wifi and nice area for breakfast, though few people hang out there. Only problem, is that some younger people came back late, like 3am, drunk, and noisy and behave like they are on school camp.
Best dorm ever”
After two days of staying at a single room, I decided to be more communal with other travellers. This one has the highest ratings on Agoda and got its reason for that. Shut-your own sliding door-to-be-secluded cabin dorm was like a single stay and decorated with TV on foot side wall, also speedy wi-fi. I had simple toast, coffee and juice breakfast at busy morning for catching my bus.
