Great location with superior staff”

Nearer shopping street, near backpacker street (pham ngu lao) but quieter. They have a good bun rieu food stall at the first floor and there’s a store for freshly baked banh mi just a block away. It is also near sense market so doing grocery is not a problem and the food choices there is great not to mention that it is air conditioned so better ambiance. You can also do shopping there so everything you need is just nearby. Rooms are pretty standard. We got the double deluxe and there was a private shower and toilet with hand soap, bed that is good for 3 with 3 pillows and a comforter, hairdryer and 3 towels. It was pretty basic but good because everything was clean.

For the price, this place is amazing! Pros - The location is good, the room is well sized, has air conditioning, everything was clean & its incredibly priced Cons - no lift, you have to walk through a local style restaurant to get to the reception area

Nice stay”

We found this hostel quite hard to find as it wasn’t clearly marked. The staff here were really nice and friendly. On our first night we had to climb 6 floors to get to our room and with a huge backpack this is insanely tiring. Our room was small but perfect, we had toiletries, towels, hot water, air con and a fan. We decided to stay a second night in this hostel due to illness of my partner and we were unable to get the bus we had planned, we were moved onto the first floor and our nights sleep was absolutely horrendous as the staff are singing, cooking and washing up all night long in their small restaurant below. Location was good and nearby a night market and a few other tourist attractions.

BED BUGS”

Terrible bed bugs!!!! I could not sleep at all, after the first hour I got a several bites and went down to reception to talk about it. The guy who worked there seems not be aware of what bed dugs are at all, so don't expect them to clean it, they don't even know what it is. He just offered me another bed in the same room, I did not believe that it was better but it was 2 am, so I did not have much choice. After a few hours of trying to sleep and getting even more bites I went down again and was offered to stay one more night for free as a refund for the terrible night. A bit sarcastic, I know. No way I could stay there any longer so I just left. They refund me one night, but I spent more to buy medicine to cure all the bites all over my body and felt terrible after the sleepless night. Don't stay there, don't let this spoil your holiday.

The hotel is CLOSED”

The hotel as closed down. A flower shop is now operating at its location but AGODA is still showing that the Hotel is still operational. To make matter worse, payment has went thru on my credit card 3 days before I was suppose to arrive in Ho Chi Minh!

Really good location. we had a private room there were ants everywhere. bed was uncomfortable as soon as the sun rose the entire room was bright regardless of how you closed the curtains. the location, and the roof top were the only good things about this place I enjoyed.For 20 bucks a night I have gotten WAY MORE.

Space is quite tight in the smaller dorm which priced more expensive, bed sizes are small, aircon not cold enough (took off the shirt to sleep). Had a brief peek into the larger dorm and feels is much better with cool aircon, more roomy and looks more clean.

Wanderlust hostel”

The staff (esp to the lady on night shift who was very helpful.) and location is great. Just opposite a convenience store and few steps from restaurants and malls. Just needs improvement on cleanliness

Awesome staff and even better bar ”

They have a small but cozy rooftop bar. Hotels stays packed most of the time so lots of people to chat with.

They arranged a room on 5th floor and there isn't any elevator, the toilet paper was wet. That night it was raining hard with strong wind but half of the window glass in the bathroom was broken.

Very wonderful place to stay . awesome helpful staff friendly people here as they come and go very good area to do most things many good places to see in little walking around most intersesting places to see here in Ho Chin Min City , you will enjoy the area very good :)

Below average”

Small room, hardly any space for 15 people to put their bags. Triple bunk beds which make a lot of noise when climbed. Glass wall between toilet and shower so privacy feels nonexistent if someone if both are occupied. Friendly staff, but no free breakfast or free towels so the, 5$ charged for a bed seems too much.

Actually this was my first time, using a hostel. So, it's kinda hard for me to compare this hostel to others. But for me, it was such a pleasure to have a chance to stay in Wanderlust. Very kind and helpful staff, nice view and feeling-good breezeb on the rooftop. I had a lot of fun while I was staying here.
