Great hotel and location”
My husband and I stayed 6 nights in this hotel in September 2021. The location couldn't have been better for us. The subway is only a block away, making it easy to get to/from JFK and everywhere else we wanted to go. Washington Square Park and tons of restaurants and shopping are within easy walking distance.. We had superior service from the hotel staff, especially Ronnie, who gave us great tips on where to eat and best way to get around. The hotel has beautiful tile art throughout. Our superior queen room was very clean and had the amenities we needed, although it was a bit small. We definitely will stay at this hotel next time we're in NYC.

Great Hotel”
Came here for a one night staycation with my girlfriend for Valentines Day Weekend. Instead of going back home to Queens, a different bed was a nice change. The WSPH was a great stay. Being in Greenwich Village, you’re with a 5 minute walk of so many bars and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was cold, but shower had great water pressure. The room has an overhead electric heater, controllable but even when it isn’t on, makes sounds. There are Complimentary soaps and Keurig coffee/tea. Ya gotta bring your own water and snacks thou.

One of the best hotels in NYC”
I love this hotel. It's clean and luxurious, but small and not too flashy. It's very comfortable and the location is A1. Staff is always friendly and very accomodating. I needed a refrigerator as my room didn't have one, and when I called the front desk they brought one up to me within minutes. Only complaint is that the people staying directly above me were very loud. I would be woken up late night and early morning by constant footsteps which wasn't great. Not sure that's the hotel's fault though. Either way I love this place.

Hidden Gem in the Village”
I absolutely loved this hotel. A friend recommended it as small, friendly with a great history. The staff are really friendly and it feels like everyone enjoys working there. The rooms are basic but have a style of their own. A dressing gown is provided, though I completely forgot to wear mine! Breakfast was good and I especially recommend the vegan granola (whether you are vegan or not still tasty!) Bagels were good too. The hotel is right by Washington Square Park and a short walk from quirky bars, cafes and shops. If you have time check out the Quad cinema nearby one of the earliest multi-screen cinemas. There are good Happy Hour offers in the hotel bar and they were happy to charge my phone after I had checked out. This is my new favourite place to stay in NYC.

Excellent experience at The Washington Square Hotel! Started out with a first floor room & unfortunately the people above us were extremely loud throughout the night. Hotel staff were more than willing to help us out & moved us to the top floor as soon as possible. Rooms are clean and pretty big for Manhattan! The location is great. Lots of food & entertainment options within walking distance, there is a subway stop less that a block away. Definately will stay here again on a future visit to NYC.

Great boutique style hotel, great location for getting out of the touristy areas and being near all kinds of food, shopping, and great subway access to take you anywhere you want to go. Hotel clean, staff friendly, room was small but that’s to be expected in New York. Good location for celebrity airings and access to good fitness options in the neighborhood. Would stay here again!

Great hotel in a great location with great staff”
I have nothing to complain about for this hotel. Our room was of a decent size and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location at Washington Square was perfect for us with great access to the subway and local restaurants and bars and other businesses on a quiet adjacent street. Perfect.

Great position and reasonably priced!”
Stayed for 4 nights with two rooms. Great position on Washington Square. Easy access to the surrounding Greenwich Village attractions/ shops. Certainly a lot going on at the square itself/live music/art displays etc which was interesting. Hotel very clean and staff friendly. Bar ok and restaurant good quality and not over pricey. 10 minutes walk to the bus pickup for NYC pass tours. Would stay again!

My daughter & I traveled from Oregon to join my sis in law & her 2 daughters, 1 who lives in NYC, for a weekend in the city! We were very welcomed, secure, conveniently located & comfy at the Washington Square Hotel! Wouldn’t want to stay nor recommend anywhere else in NYC to anyone!

Location, location, location ”
We loved our stay here! Although our room was tiny, the bed was comfortable, linens high end, and shower—amazing! We wanted to be in the Village and we could get everywhere on foot. Safe at night for walking back from one of the excellent restaurants nearby. Special shout out to the wonderful staff who made a fuss over my husband’s big birthday, including surprising us with a bottle of wine. Will definitely return

As they say : location location location Can’t beat this one West Village is lively interesting full of cafes and great places to shop. This is a gem of a hotel. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you . Highly recommended!!

The hotel is full of charm, well-maintained, is in an excellent location and has wonderful staff! I was traveling with my daughter to view colleges in the area and Washington Square Hotel was a perfect place to stay. One thing to note, however , is that the rooms are very small and basic. Ours was tight for two, no mini fridge and a tiny closet, but it well maintained and very charming.

Great location for this small and very friendly hotel; staff have lots of local knowledge and are extremely helpful! Free continental breakfast is a real bonus in the express bar section. Rooms are clean and functional and quiet, shower and bathroom was small but efficient and clean. I travel a lot and I would be very happy to stay again at this hotel - it introduced us to a different more intimate part of New York!

Welcoming”
Very friendly staff helped us find free parking, and paid extra special attention to our young daughter which made her feel so special every time we crossed the lobby. The location couldn’t have been better, everything we needed within a few blocks and easily navigable. Our daughter loved leading the way around the area and back to our room again.
