Great for relaxing with small children”
We love this place. Great pool, clean rooms, helpful staff. We don't do meals at the hotel, as there are several local restaurants that are really good, and it's good to get out of the hotel a couple of times each day, but everything else is top notch. We will be back often.
A peaceful place with a beautiful tropical garden and friendly staff”
The room was very clean and functional but would need some maintenance work in the bathroom (shower not always mixing hot/cold very well and sealant quite worn) However the peaceful location, friendly staff and beautiful garden made it all value for money. It is very close to a lot of local attraction but a good 30mns drive from.Chiang Mai city center. A car is much needed to access it.
Thanks for your visited. We hope to take care you next time.
Nice but Far Away”
I liked staying here for the new year. They had a karaoke song that night with everyone to join in. Additionally, the room was decent, but the bathroom could have used a bit of renovation. It wasn't that it wasn't adequate or even beautiful, but it did appear to be rusty or old in some spots, such as the shower curtain. The room service was spectacular and fairly priced. The hotel needs a song tow to get to it, and that was about 400-450 baht. This should be considered. The pool was also just adequate. If you get a good deal not his hotel, I say go for it, though. I wouldn't recommend it to singles, though.
beautiful and lovely place for couple”
such a beautiful and lovely hotel in Mae Rim tourist district. The hotel has only 11 rooms which is very private and quiet, plus a lovely garden and swimming pool which is so incredible with good price. Also the hotel is so close to several tourist attractions.
Quiet,Clean and Beautiful with Friendly Staff”
- Got a free upgrade to the Junior suite which was clean, spacious and Balinese style. Best place I stayed at in Chiangmai. - Staff were friendly and helpful. - Overall the food in the hotel and in Chiangmai is very salty. You can get microwaved meals at nearby 7-11 for the same level of unhealthiness and 1/3 of the cost as compared with restaurants - Note that meal selections are a bit limited. No deserts at the hotel. - Strongly recommended that you get get your own vehicle as transport in and our of the area is pricey. The hotel is not close to many places. - Rent a car for about USD$50/day from the airport plus the hotel, which is comparable to staying at a hotel in the city, and much nicer. - Alternatively you can rent a motorbike from the hotel for 200 baht/day which you can ride to Chiangmai city or use to visit the local attractions easily. This is a lot of fun.
Very Welcoming and Relaxing Stay”
very highly recommended hotel. the pool is very clean and great. the rooms are neat and tidy. but be careful to those gigantic mosquitoes they are all over chiang mai's outside places. ruen is so near to 7 eleven convenience store, it's about 15 to 20 mins by walk or 5 mins by bicycle. the hotel is also near to some local chicken and pork roasting stands. but i just wish the hotel could change their cable network for english viewing programs.
Great room for the money”
Only stayed one night, but this would be a good place to relax a couple of days. Nice pool that we had all to ourselves. Beautifully decorated luxurious room with our own patio with walls.
Out of my expectations ”
I initially reserved 2 mini suites because I saw from agoda it includes a king size bed and a double bed. Unfortunately, this is not the case, it only has a king size bed. either I made a mistake or the description from agora is wrong. We want 2 beds in each room since we will need to drive long distance the next day. The lady offered us free upgrade to the luxury suite and a junior suite. Although each suite has only one king size, it is much larger and with jacuzzi. They also bring extra blanket if we want to sleep in sofa. The resort is not big, but has everything you need: swimming pool, quiet, you can listen to the voice of nature, enjoy a walk under the star. I wish I could have more time just to relax in the resort.
I wonderful family stay”
We looked for a place in Chiang Mai that would be close to nature and have enough room for our skyscraper dwelling kids to run around. We found it in this nice resort. We stayed for 9 nights in the family villa. The family villa is really a detached house on the back corner of the property. It is surrounded by a large lawn with beautiful landscaping. The villa had its own soaking pool, and a patio that we spent a lot of time sitting and reading. The villa has three bedrooms and three baths with a large kitchenette (not a lot of utensils for cooking). The property can be best described as a bed and breakfast instead of a full service resort. It is a family run property with a friendly and helpful staff. The property has about 10 to 11 units, and we seldom saw other guests. The property has a small restaurant and provides a tasty, but limited choice breakfast. We also had lunch and dinner on the property. The same people who ran the desk also cooked the food. There are drawbacks depending on your expectation. The property is remote, and not serviced by taxis and other public transportation. Unless you hired your own car and driver or rented a car, it is hard to get around. There are couple of "mom and pop" stores within walking distance and a 7-11 near by. If you like walking there are a few attractions within a couple of miles of the property, including Mae Sa Falls which we really enjoyed. The internet connection at the family villa is non existent and so for us, it was not a big deal because we wanted to tune out for family time. It was great seeing the kids running around the lawn and not glued to electronics. The room has Thai television and the living room has a region free DVD player. For a nice family getaway, I highly recommend this location.
Nice resort ”
This vacation we enjoy it! Because the resort is let us relax! I like the swimming pool so much! And there have a big garden let my child to play! My child said " we are going again next year!" If I go again I will still stay in his resort! Thank you all the helper!
A House turned resort, feels like home”
Best thing was we got a great deal for the room. We stayed in the main house with I think 4 rooms sharing main entrance. Our room has a living section, bathroom, then bedroom. The bed room is a bit small. There are 3 choices of breakfast set you can choose from.
Relax and natural decoration inside of the resort”
Very relax and enjoy for photography iside of resort decoration, swimming pool a bit small but still OK for exercises. The reception very friendly and very good recommendation for many things. A bit sad, they closed the restaurant on this time.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff”
Very nice hotel, nice quite location with friendly helpful staff. Garden and grounds of hotel very nice and well maintained. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. Would recommend to friends. Only stayed for three nights but could have easily stayed here for much longer if time had perrmitted, good place to relax and unwind. expect to stay here again when next in chang mai.
Great Resort, Staffs are very friendly..!”
Great location next to all the major attractions in Chang Mai, Tiger Kingdom, Elephant Camp, Snake Farm, Monkey Centre, Botanical Gardens, ATV/Karting, Waterfall etc...Most walking distance or the staff will drive you free of charge any time you want to avoid taxi and "tour" fares. Staff are genuinely the friendliest and most helpful we have ever encountered, they went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. The hotel is as nice as the pictures and kept very clean. Pool/Bar area is great and the food is very tasty and well-priced. My husband and I are vegetarian who don’t eat any meat, fish or egg so the chef would made us special breakfast each morning. There is nothing bad I can say about this resort. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place for whoever is looking for a quiet surroundings in Chaing Mai. I cannot wait to go back there again.
Great boutique hotel”
A little away from the centre of the city, in a quiet location, surrounded by greenery. It is advisable to have your own transportation. Lovely ambience, all Al Fresco amidst beautiful landscaped gardens, the pool surrounded by plants. The best thing about the hotel was the staff, who were there to cater to your every wish with a smile.
Enjoyable stay with personal attention”
This was a pleasant stay for our weekend. We arrived later than expected and our needs were catered for. The host was very kind and accomodating. He offered rides to our destinations and was very hospitable while at the establishment. It is affordably priced, breakfast options are good, location to surrounding attractions is very convenient. It is an older type of resort regarding the buildings and rooms, but it was very clean and relaxing.
Though being at approx. 25km from ChiangMai city, there are plenty of activities in MaeRim district. Ruen Ariya resort is absolutely a lovely place, with extremely helpful staff.Beautiful rooms, swimming pool, privacy, all is there to make your stay more than pleasant and at very reasonable price. I'll come back, for sure. Highly recommended.
Nice resort among wonderful garden”
The hotel is not so far from chiang mai city but need own car or book a hotel transfer service. The location is most advantage for the visitors to travel around ampur Mae Rim like botanical garden and many waterfalls around there. The room is nice and charming in Bali style or traditional lanna style. The breakfast is not much but acceptable. Most of all staff is very helpful , kind and eagery for service.
Whilst this hotel is a little out of the way from central Chiang Mai, about 20km, this is no reason not to stay. We hired a motorbike for about 11 nights and made full use of it. There are some great activities near the hotel such as the x centre, the royal botanical gardens, elephant trecking, tiger shows etc so dont feel that because you are not in central Chiang Mai that you are missing out. We had a full and wonderful experience of Chiang Mai because we stayed here, book now and enjoy
