Good Service and Location”
The service at Ruen Thai Rim Haad Resort was excellent. Interacting with the via email was easy and quick. The offer a variety of transfer options from Bangkok, Pataya and Rayong Town. The food at the resort was fine, propably as good as anything else in the area. The included breakfast was nice enough. The massage was excellent. The accomodation was very roomy, however a little run down. The air-conditioning and hot water worked fine. Basically you get what you pay for in this case. If you're after a quiet place to relax and aren't to picky about the little details, then this is a great place to stay.

Not a great beach, but nice enough.”
The Ruen Thai Rim Haad Resort was a nice enough place to stay and relax. As I mentioned the beach is not a real draw card, however the sea breezes and the sound of waves crashing is relaxing. The rooms are large and the air conditioning and hot water work fine. The rooms are however a little run down, but this shouldn't worry most people. The service is very good and quite accommodating. I had a very good massage there and recommend it highly.

Lovely Thai experience”
I drove down from the airport--two hours to Rayong!--but then I couldn't find the way in the dark--so I was exceedingly happy when the owner came and escorted me to the lodging. From then on, it was a lovely stay--orchids blooming in the trees, a spacious air conditioned room, the gorgeous teak Thai house for breakfast, relaxing, with a view of the beach; I had only one day, but was able to arrange a boat trip and a great massage by a local masseur. Madame insisted on making a specially prepared seafood meal, since I had no time to go to Ban Phe. The beach is narrow, but lovely with views of several islands. They are building a condo complex next door--so the relative seclusion may not last...As mentioned by others, it is relatively isolated--for me a plus--also, motorscooters can be arranged for folks who want to go into town....

Beautiful Thai Style resort on the Gulf of Thailand.”
Place took a bit of finding, but very happy when we did. Only thing that blighted the visit was the arrival of tropical storm Phabuk. Since we were about 50 metres from the sea, the resort got a bit of a soaking and the surf was a bit lively for a few days. Had an interesting time helping drain the sea water and cleaning up the grounds after the storm had abated. The storm apart, the resort is very attractive and is built in the style of a traditional wooden Thai house. Accomodation was in bungalows which, although they were showing their age, were spotlessly clean. On the whole was a very relaxing and pleasant stay, happy to recommend and will certainly be going back.

Peaceful and quiet resort”
Hi we did have a nice and peaceful time at that Hotel. The Hotel manager was very helpful and pleased to show and explain the surroundings. He dose speak well English, but his staff dose not. The kitchen was fine; there may be some other restaurant nearby that we never used. We got also good Thai masseur by asking the manager. The beach site (cleaned every day) was nice and it is possible to walk along the beach. There is very little traffic at the small road in front of the Resort.

Lovely staff, quiet location, big room.”
We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it It is quite a long way from everything and you will need your own transport. We had a scooter (hired in Ban Phe, but are available at the hotel. There are great little restaurants, 711, and other shops about 2 klm - 5 minutes on the scooter. Beach is opposite the hotel and is kept clean. There are also deck chairs and umbrellas on the beach for guests use. There ii a lots of space and privacy around your bungalow. Staff are wonderful. Very kind and helpful. Owner has excellent English and has great suggestions on attractions in the local area. Breakfast is awesome There is a fresh made Thai breakfast - menu changed everyday. ( not soggy noodles for a change) also western food such as eggs and toast if you want. Resort is really showing its age and needs a make over. Rooms are tired and need some urgent professional maintenance. The rooms are spacious and clean. And the gardens are nice. We would definitely come back again.

Quiet beach-side bungalows”
This smaller family run hotel is actually a main building with indoor/outdoor dining area and relaxation space, and 6 independant bungalows. They are across the lane from a nice quiet beach, and there is outdoor furniture on the lawn, beach, and the decks of each bungalow for you to enjoy the spectacular weather. Warm and sunny in the days, and cool nights, this is a very relaxing and quiet spot. Free wireless internet more than made up for the thai-only TV in the room. Full satellite TV was available in the main building if you need to see some news. Karaoke at night, for those that dare to.

Retreat to Rayong”
For serenity and away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok or any crowd, this would be a good hotel. You can really isolate yourself from civilisation. There's no need to worry about food as the hotel cooks up tasty Thai dishes and serves Singha beer. Just be mindful to inform them to cook less spicily if you can't take the heat. Ask the hotel staff if you need the boats to travel to accompanying Koh Samed island. Overall, this hotel provides a true break from the loud music of Pattaya and busy city life of Bangkok.

ultimate for recreational seekers”
when you are looking for a place where you won`t find any other tourist than this will be your place. But be aware that you should bring your own car or bike because the next village (ban phe) is pretty far away - lets say 10 km. There you will find the ferry/speed boats to ko samed. altough the ressort has its own direct beach and they keep it tidy - their beach is really the best , has style and is kept tidy. They cannot be held responsible that the area of rayong is one where a lot of trash is stranding. better go to samed - we stayed at ao phai (by speed boat 200 one way/ferry 100 roundtrip). The food at the ressort is good - try the chicken with cashew nuts. If you should need something do not hesitate to ask. They will take care.

Romantic and secluded spot at a quiet beach”
We stayed for five days in this family-run resort consisting of six bungalows only. If you looking for a quiet and nice place away from all the noise and buzz, this is an excellent option. The bungalows are large and well maintained. Service and food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. The beach is just in front of the resort and is usually empty. The hotel provides beach chairs and catering if you want. Ideal spot for a romantic couple or a family with young children. The best option is to arrive by rented car, or you will solely depend on the hotel management to take you anywhere.

Small, family run hotel ”
The beaches in Rayong are not as nice as Samet but staying here you get a quiet stretch of beach almost to yourself. The staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. Order your meals a few hours beforehand for fresh fish, prawns or squid.

Pleasant stay at Thai mansion”
We wanted a quiet place to stay and that it was, only Con was the building site next door but wasn't too disturbing. Area not as developed as some other main tourist areas, so no shops, pubs etc. nearby, we were the only guests. Need motorbike for transport, next vilage Ban Phe with restaurants and several beaches, ferry to Koh Samet which is nice for a day trip but otherwise overpriced. The beaches of Rayong are not crowded, here the prices are still low, NOT SO in Koh Samet which is going down the same road as Koh Samui etc., mass rip off tourism.

My Stay in Thai Rim Haad”
This is a good place for a couple to spend some romantic time together, close to Bang Phe and 30km from Rayong City. Best for people with own transport as nearby is very quiet. Bussara is very helpful and it is a good idea to ask her what to do in the area, she will tell directions and other infomation. Breakfast is excellent.

quiet and peaceful resort”
A really quiet and peaceful place; small resort of 6 spacious and clean bungalows set across from a deserted beach. A very friendly host and excellent service - they are flexible about food times, will serve to your room if you prefer. Excellent value for money. Will certainly return again for a lazy relaxing weekend.

Tranquile environment, lovely spacy rooms”
Lovely family-spirited servicing. The hotel is situated along a quiet part of the Rayong beach, which makes it a great getaway for the weekend. The garden is a real plus; we returned with increased knowledge and respect for the family life and personalities of roosters, hens and chicken.

Great rooms for the price but mediocre beach”
This hotel was a great value. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There were only a few chairs on the beach in front of the hotel, but there were even fewer guests. The hotel is located on a dead-end street, so there was very little noise from traffic. The beach was a great place to read during the afternoon and evening. It appeared that the hotel cleaned the area near their chairs. However, the rest of the beach was somewhat dirty. We paid 200B for a songtaew (pickup with benches in the back) from the bus stop to the hotel. There is no convenience store within walking distance, and no taxis pass the hotel. Bring all necessities with you.

Perfect, beachfront, silent ”
The hotel was situated in a secluded part of Rayong so our stay was good and no noisy cars around. The hotel has the sea infront of it so swimming was enjoyable and no people just us when we went for a swim. Food was ok and not expensive, staff were accommodating and good to us.

The hotel was great and very private for us.”
the bungalow was very spacious and clean however the linen on the bed was showing its age and the bed was very firm. clean but did not look fresh. the bed were two singles which i find strange for a couple but have experienced this in thailand in the past so have come to accept. the internet rarely worked and when it did had a week signal and was very slow. only 3 tv channels and none were english. we still had an excellent time.....me and my thai wife. would return but would likely check out others in the area.

Ruen Thai Rim Haad Resort”
Good value for money. Can recommend to friends. Situated quite far from Rayong, but services like small shops can be found nearer. There were no mention of trips to Koh Samet at all. Or at least there were no brochures of trips there. Chickens and rooster in the yard were cosy. Very nice location right by the sea. Room service number was in the room but there was no phone in the room.
