Life changing”
Overall our stay at the rumours guest house was pretty amazing. We were not expecting the luxury as we dont mind staying somewhere simple as long as we felt like home and thats what we got from these bunch of amazing guys who knows how to connect to their guest. The location was great, the people were an amazing bunch and everyone knows how to have a good time! We shall meet again soon guys and im definately getting my friends to come over if they are going langkawi! We miss things there already.

great stay with very friendly staff”
the stay in rumours guesthouse was perfect. the guesthouse is perfectly located cos its close to a field with palm trees-thats why its very silent and cosy. also its quite near to the shopping street and the beach. the staff is very friendly and helped us a lot with planning activities.

Nice staff”
Unfortunately we visited langkawi during the monsoon so the owner was taking advantage of the quiet season and refurbishing the restaurant. The owner however was very kind. He owned alot of cats that were really friendly and well looked after. Being cat lovers we loved the fact they hung around. The rooms were nice, although could be seen as little run down to some people, but we were happy with them as it is one of the cheapest places to stay in pantai cenang. Really good location, close to shops, beach, restaurants and bars. Would recommend this place for people on a budget as langkawi is a very expensive place to stay.

Basics”
More huts than guesthouse. I booked my stay here without really checking. The location is good in the central Pantai Cenang area on the opposite side of the road and quick walk to the main beach. The accommodation I stayed was very basic with no air-con. Wasn't overly happy when I saw it but was comfortable and I slept easy. Management helped me organise my forwarding to Satun, Thailand the following morning.

Ideal stayover for backpackers”
The room was equipped with aircond and a washroom with water heater. It was easy to find as the signboard is quite obvious. It is near to the Underwater World and is at the centre of Pantai Cenang. The staffs are very nice too.

Excellent little gem hidden away in langkawi”
We arrived late due to flight delays, however the staff having known had stayed up even after midnight to make sure we arrived safely. The place is located near the main attractions and nightlife. The morning breakfast at the guest house is quite good and there is a late night local Malaysian cafe right next to the Guesthouse

Friendly Guesthouse”
It was a great stay, especially the friendly workers/owners there. The location was perfect as it is right in the middle of Pantai Cenang. They have 2 pet cats which were so cute and adorable.

simple but perfekt service”
First time in langkawi, but not last, simple rooms but very friendly staf, he even organuced a party with grill 7 barbeque for all of us ( 12 persons) our last night. with all what we wantet at a very good price. The beach is close, The kids loved it. We will sorely return and wouldent haistate to ccome back here.

Good service from the staff”
Stayed for 1 night at the guesthouse,booked in the last minute because other hotel was fully booked.Staff was helpful,help us to get cheap price for car rental(even it was peak season)and offer to fetch us to the jetty(although in the end unable to get the car due to the timing).Recommended for single/friend traveler,but not for couple.Room price is recommended for those on low budget.

a bit run down but okay”
the location was the best part, the staff was friendly. the room was okay, the shared bathroom was absolutely filthy. i recommend bringing bug spray and your own sheets. the common area was comfortable and a great place to meet other travelers. i traveled during the high season so it was a bit expensive. for the price, i would not stay at this guesthouse again, but i chose it because it was my only option since i booked my trip late.

friendly people, quiet stay”
Staff are helpful and friendly. surprisingly they are all men. location is good as just outside the property, there's food, shopping and the beach. Staff explains expectations in every tour activity there is in the whole of langkawi, which is a plus for first time travelers. it's a budget hotel, but I think they can do better with appearance. it definitely needs a femine touch, landscaping, flowers, trimming the grass, there's plenty potential areas in the property where one can relax in, like the hammock and day beds, however the spaces has quite tall grass. it's generally clean. but a lil more scrubbing in the toilets and vacuuming around won't hurt. the place is adding more rooms and hopefully the existing rooms will be remodeled(bathroom door does not have a lock). all in all, it's a laid back place ;)

Good location for budget travelers”
pretty basic room and amenities, suitable for short stays when you wont be hanging round the hotel much. there is no pool but you just need to go across the street to the beach. cheap beers available at the restaurant, and although its a restaurant i didn't see any food being served or anyone even eating there. however, there were plenty of restaurants nearby. one thing i didnt like were the mosquitoes at night. and i think that this room is worth the discounted price i paid but not the full price. overall, i would recommend it to travelers on a budget and its more suited to backpackers and solo travelers than families.

Very good location and nice staff”
Very nice and helpful staff, good location (near to the beach and main shopping street, but quiet and away from the street noise at the same time). The room and bathroom were minimal, with fan and very warm, but it was still ok for this price. Staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. We did have a problem with our pre-paid transfer to Telaga Harbour, we waited it for 2 hours. The owner called to this company 3 times and asked for explanation of their delay. After realizing there is a problem with this company and probably we won´t get any transfer (and boat tickets) at all, he gave us his own motorbike and asked us to hurry up to the place we had bought our tickets. This was the only reason we finally still got the transport to the harbor and the boat to Koh Lipe this day. The boat was waiting for us for 20 minutes! Big-big thank you for your help! :)

Great location but scruffy rooms”
Staff very friendly but the rooms are very dated and scruffy. Cracked tiles, lose wiring etc. If you're not intending to spend much time in the room and you accept that this is the budget end of the market then you may consider staying here for the location. There are other hotels in this price range which are considerably nicer but accommodation in Langkawi books up quickly and the best ones go first. I would only go here again as a last resort.

Simple, cheap and clean ”
You get what you pay for, but this budget guest house was more than adequate. It was very clean and well kept. No frills. Very quiet. Really nice staff. Can rent motorbike for good price. Don't think they do food but plenty nice places around.

very bad stay”
it was my first stay in langkawi but what i see in the agoda is not match to the real unit which i stay and the service also very bad we booked 3 bed room but they just provide us a queen bed and a single mattress and not a single bed with no pillow and blanket i will be my last stay in this guesthouse again bye bye

Basic accommodation for good price in Langkawi”
Accommodation in Langkawi in this price range does not seem that great so we didn't feel we had much choice when booking this place. The rooms and facilities are basic but fine. The wifi in public areas (not in rooms) is good.

Lovely place and good atmosphere”
The rooms are good enough and with a small terrace. The staff was very friendly and the communal area/restaurant is very cossy and with WIFI. Just accross the road from a lovely beach and all the amenities. Restaurant close to the guest house cheap and very good.
