GREAT LOCATION”
good location. walking distance to the waterfront. a 10-12 minutes taxi ride to cullen bay to watch the sunset and a hearty meal of fish fillet at La Beach. the best, hotel staff are friendly and helpful. housekeeping was good too during our stay. truly appreciated that our bed were our beds were turned down when we check-in at 1.00am.

Amazing value for money, best location, spotless clean”
Amazing value for money, best location, spotless clean, almost as new rooms and furniture. Facilities were lacking though, only one small pool in which you can't even swim. Staff was okay, but nothing special. However, probably the best hotel in terms of cleanliness and room I have ever been to. The cleaner ladies are nice and change your towels and shampoo etc. daily. You need to re-register for Internet everyday which is a bit silly. The air-conditioning temperature cannot be easily adjusted so my wife was too cold and we had to turn it off completely. And I was a bit hot. Still, probably best value for money in Darwin.

Lovely hotel”
It was a lovely hotel in a good location. Knowing we had a car hire, I deliberately chose this hotel as it advertised 'parking', but disappointed that we would have to pay $19 a day extra. Apparently all of Darwin has this, but as we were from the UK, would not know. Told at hotel is was valet parking only.

If you are expecting high quality accommodation to match the price then think again. If you want your room serviced you have to ask. Beds are not comfortable and the facilities are run down and not maintained and not clean. Would give it a 2.5-3.0 star rating at most. Would not recommend

Very convenient”
we had a very enjoyable stay over the past weekend at darwin central hotel. it is very well named because it's situated right at the northern end of the smith st mall. this is in the centre of the cbd and is surrounded by good quality restaurants and bars. the bus terminal and new warf precinct are both within 5 minutes walk. the staff were very attentive and helpfull. we had a great full buffer breakfast for $17 each and the whole acommodation package was very affordable. our room was very comfortable and quiet even though we were so centally located.

Cosy hotel with great customer service”
from the check in to the check out the assistance from the hotel staff was really detailed and thought for. even though the hotel itself was slightly older it still gives you a lot of comfort and room maintenance is done properly every time. the location is at the central area of darwin city and access was easy for everything in city.

Perfect location, total peace and quiet in room”
I chose to be staying in the centre of the city as I did not rent a car and expected some noise but hoped for the best. I was delighted to find that outside sounds didn't reach my room because of soundproof windows. Had the best 5 sleeps in years. Not only my room but all public hotel spaces were immaculate. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was generous and friendly.I visit Darwin often to see family and will always plan to book into this hotel.

Great Hotel in perfect position”
being my first trip to darwin i was pleased that i chose to stay at the darwin central hotel. it was conveniently positioned to all the local restaurants, bars and the waterfront. but a street back from all the noise. the hotel itself was very clean and apartment room was very spacious. the bathroom was well finished and roomy. there was no bath but as a business traveller, i normally only shower and the shower was large and powerful. the staff were friendly and helpful. i would recommend.

Excellent central location and a great room”
Really appreciated how close the hotel was to the centre of Darwin, enjoyed the valet parking, the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was clean and appeared to have just been renovated. The pool area was small but workable. Had an enjoyable breakfast in the restuarant on one occasion. Only very minor difficulty we had, we asked if we could check in at the hotel for our return flights and were told we could however when we tried we were then told this facility was not available. We then had to find an internet cafe and it was not easy to check in at the cafe. Also we were not sure if the Waterhole restuarant was open it did not appear to be.

Really Nice”
As a sailor on a port visit to Darwin, I found this hotel closer to every thing then I thought. It is literally right behind where all the night life scene is. No need for a cab at all. What was really cool is how the locals are friendly to American tourist. When the receptionist saw that I was U.S military, I was upgraded to a junior suite. Pretty sweet. The Junior sweet was an really nice spacious studio apartment type room. No only if they could have provided a blanket vice a sheet of linen to keep me warm from the chilly a/c.

Due to my work situation I have stayed in many hotels in Darwin. As far as value for money taking into account the position, facilities & quality of the hotel in general, there is none better in Darwin.

VERY CLEAN/ GREAT POSITION”
Our four night stay was most enjoyable. We did not dine at the hotel as we were visiting our family in Darwin who reside in 1 bed apartment. Room was extremely clean and a credit to the staff. We had late flight out of Darwin and no problem to hold our luggage.

Review of the Darwin Central Hotel”
We arrived early in the morning at the hotel. The staff were helpful in getting us checked in as soon as possible. The room does not come with breakfast, but there is a nice cafe attached to the hotel. The yogurt and muesli are especially good. The hotel is well situated in downtown Darwin - close to the pedestrian mall and far enough away from the street with the late night bars. It was a nice, clean hotel with not too many frills.

no complaints - good place for a quick stopover in Darwin - walking distance to everything you'd want to do. 1 point, we asked for late checkout and were told 11am is latest - then next morning, we arrived at 11am to checkout and were told we actually have room till 12pm - would have been good to know that earlier.

Good check in could have been a little bit more welcoming thought the lady was abit rude maybe having a bad day other than this minor hiccup thought this hotel was excellent if I go back to Darwin again I will go back to this hotel again
