I stayed at The Miller 5 nights. Service was polite and obliging, room very clean. Exc breakfast. Needed more milk in fridge and instruction on air-con. Otherwise excellent stay 4⭐

We were only there for one night, we were upgraded to a suite which was good. The rooms are starting to look a bit old and could do with a revamp. Staff were pleasant to deal with and the breakfast on Sunday morning was great.

Staff were lovely- however, for the prices charged I expect better quality. The rooms & hallways are old. In need of a paint job & refurbish. It was clean but bathroom old & a bad plumbing smell. Needs re-tiling etc. Views were excellent.

This place smelt the minute you walked into it and followed you all the way to the room. It smelt wet and very musty. No air conditioning, but they did provide a portable air conditioner that took 12 hours to make any difference. One room had no working light. On a bright note, it was clean despite the smell and the price included breakfast which was good.

Tired Hotel- little expensive for what you'd get.”
Hotel in good location but quite tired. Bedroom was clean but bathrooms were a little messy still and could do with a whole freshen up (re-grout etc). The hotel was ok and would recommend if it were a little cheaper but at this price a little disappointing.

There are better options in the local area”
Rydges in North Sydney was ok, but there are better options in the immediate area. The positive aspects at Rydges included the check in process, friendly staff and the room and common areas were certainly clean. The negative aspects included the location (2 kilometre return walk to the local restaurant and shopping precinct), the cost of the breakfast (US $28.00) and only two cable channels on the television. If I venture back to North Sydney I will stay near the Westpac Bank where the restaurants and shops are located.

Rooms in Rydges Noth Sydney are old and the double room that I stayed was poorly lit and seemed more like a lodge. In past, I have stayed in various other Rydges and comparatively, Rydges North Sydney is not good at all, definitely not recommended for the price I paid.

I felt the amount paid for the room did not reflect the room. It was small and smelt incredibly musty as if water had been in there. The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

Don't pay for the Harbour View rooms, there is no view unless you love buildings under construction at your window sadly. We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights thanks to the staff who listened to what we had paid for and what they gave us initially.

Whilst the staff were nice, my room appeared to not have been serviced probably as I found a half used shower gel bottle in the soap dish in the shower. The grout in the shower tiles had a lot of mould and the room had a strong musty smell. There was a used tooth floss pick on the floor of the elevator when I arrived which was still there the next morning when I checked out. The tv has very poor reception. The location was great and very close to my work, due to the hygiene standards and particularly with covid on the rise I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.

PROS Meals were lovely Night staff were helpful when called about a problem with the aircon. Room appeared to be clean. CONS bathroom needs to be updated Unable to get cash out anywhere in hotel Hotel did not have any $1 coins available at reception and the bar so unable to use the dryer after getting saturated. Aircon heater didn't work and room was freezing. Reception did bring up a fan heater which worked great and they did offer a room change but it was late at night.

Had an okay stay. Room Is spacious enough but the carpets look like a rug, very looking carpet. Needs a really good wash. I know they are on water saving mode but i think their carpets haven’t been washed for more than a decade. Receptionist during checkout was doubtful of us when she asked if we consume any food in the bar ( asked us twice) told her no, repeatedly. She then left the reception counter and said she will have to check the room. Unprofessional that she had to leave us at the counter when there was a cleaner just across our room that she can contact to check our room.

Unfortunately our Housekeeping cleaner doesn't check the minibar fridge and all the minibar fridge items are handled by Food and Beverage and Reception. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom didn’t have an extractor fan, the tv wasn’t tuned in properly, the lighting was poor and one standing lamp didn’t even have a bulb in it.
