Nice Japanese-style Ryokan and nice location”
If you stay over in Kawagoe I definitely recommend Matsumuraya. You will have Tatami and Futon in your room that you won't be able to get in a regular hotel. If you wish to experience a Japanese Ryokan Matsumuraya will be the one in Kawagoe. The owner are very calm with nice smile and that made me feel very comfortable to stay with them. Location is also good. You can take a bus from Kawagoe or Hon Kawagoe station to the closest bus stop to Matsumuraya (The bus stop is Shiyakusho Mae (= City Hall)) and it only takes 10 or 5 min. Matsumuraya stands just in front of the bus stop and welcome you with lovely Japanese building. There are not so many restaurants that opens until late in the evening in the area, but some are open late and also you will find lovely bars and some convenience stores too.

Ryokan Matsumuraya is a very nice and typical Japanese Hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, with very cute tea set in it. All the facilities and services are convenient and warm-hearted. The experience of living here is really comfortable and relaxing. If i will visit Kawagoe in the future, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

Nice breakfast and close to tourist attraction ”
The location is excellent with 5-8 mins walk to every tourist attractions. I would admit that breakfast has a high quality and yummy., considering a home cooking. The price is a bit expensive however trading off with the location.

Great location for sightseeing in Kawagoe”
A 5-mins walk to 一番街 and 菓子街 and 10-mins stroll to 氷川神社, very convenient for sightseeing. All amenities are provided e.g. toothbrush, make-up remover, towels, shampoo, yukata so it was a total stress free experience. The staff can communicate well in English, and have very quick response to emails, will definitely stay again!

We stayed here during golden week. The main shopping street is too crowded but this place is not noisy yet walkable to the busy street. Yukata is provided but not the best quality. Bed and pillow is fluffy like cloud. It’s one of the best futon and blanket during our trip to Japan. The staff is helpful to arrange for dinner place at the ryokan when we arrive late and needed dinner immediately. They also help us to look for kimono rental place. We are travelling with elderly so the steep staircase to the room is challenging even for the young ppl. We avoid going up and down by checking out early so we don’t have to climb up the staircase (for elderly). One of the room (with toilet) does not have a safe design. Once you open the door from inside you are quite near to the steep staircase which makes it dangerous for the elderly. The room is spacious and with black out curtain. Breakfast is delicious and full of local taste. There is a common area with free coffee, hot chocolate and water and tea. It’s a comfy dining area with heater and soothing music. The staff in the restaurant is super friendly. There is a private bath which you need to book (only for an hour) and a public bath. It’s not an on sen though. Tea set is provided in the room.

子連れ3人家族で宿泊しました。 一番安い部屋を予約していたのですが、とても広い部屋に案内していただいて、快適でした。共同洗面所やお風呂場にもアメニティが設置されており便利でした。 お店の方が何かしてくれるわけではありませんが、無料の飲料水やお茶も設置されており、滞在中は過ごしやすかったです。 また、川越観光ということで、時の鐘の通りにも近くて便利でした。洋式ホテルより旅館の方が雰囲気も合うし、素敵な旅にできました。 一点だけ、駐車場は5台までと制限があるのでご注意。ただ、付近には休日でも上限1000円程のパーキングが点在している為、止められないということにはならないと思います。 ありがとうございました。

川越の町並みにあった宿”
立地は駅からも繁華街からも遠いです。私はタクシーを使いましたが、歩けない距離ではありません。 宿の見た目は、古都川越の雰囲気を感じさせる趣のある外見です。しかし、一歩中に入ると新しくて清潔感があります。部屋も同様で、新しく清潔感があり、非常に快適に過ごすことが出来ました。 また、利用したいと思います。

家族旅行”
コロナウイルスにより、外出等が自粛される中、子供が誕生日月ということもあり近場に旅行することになりました。 日帰り出来る距離ではありますが、あえて宿泊しのんびりしました。 松村屋さんはアットホーム的な宿で、お部屋を大きめに変えてくれたり、お布団と食事のサービスがありました！ 楽しく過ごすことが出来ました。 ありがとうございました。

氷川神社近くの清潔な宿”
バス停市役所前の目の前の宿です。 施設は清潔で、スタッフは親切です。声をかければ、チェックイン前、チェックアウト後も荷物預かりしてくれます。荷物預かりもしてくれます。 夕食の牛肉のひつまぶしは、若者向けかも。朝ごはんは日本の朝食、鮭のやいたのどご飯、納豆などで美味しかったです。
