Very nice large Japanese room with good onsen”
We love every detail of this place. The ryokan is beautiful. The room is very nice and clean, also spacious enough for children. Staff is nice and speak english well. Onsen is large and clean. Facilities in onsen may not be full equipped like in other place, probably because of they also open for non-guest visitors but there shouldn't be any problem. Just prepare your comb yourself. We didnt have chance to try their breakfast and dinner. The location is out of the city but it is peaceful and offer your a total relax feeling. There is a playground not far from ryokan, so if you have children and if you have time, it is nice to stop by at the park.

My stay at ryokan sensyeon was a wonderful experience.I was treated so well by all the staff they were so helpful and polit.There dress was outstanding truly a wonderful japanese experience.Nothing seemed to be a problem for them and they gave me some great ideas for my time in ashiakawa.I hope I will come back one day I give them 10 out of 10.

Elegant hotel, quiet and relaxing”
We absolutely love this traditional Ryokan. They have a lovely garden and the hot spring is very refreshing. Very good for a quiet getaway with your loved ones. Close to bus stop to town. Food in Hokkaido is delicious too.

This is the worst Ryokan in Hokkaido I have stayed in for the price (Y31,250/night) I paid. There were only two staff at the reception who hardly spoke any english. The room was small without any private onsen. The guests onsen was very small and we had to bring our own towels and reuse them in our room as there were no spare ones. The breakfast was also bad. I chose this place because the reviews were good but they were either not honest or those who wrote them have not stayed in much better ones for the same price.

Das Sensyoen ist ist ein Ryokan wie es im Buche steht. Insgesamt hab ich nicht mehr als 10 Zimmer gezählt, daher ist es ein sehr ruhiger Ort. Allerdings kommen Abends oft Leute nur zum Baden im hauseigenen Onsen. Sollte man dieses Gemeinschaftserlebnis, welche nackt durchgeführt wird, allerdings doch lieber alleine genießen wollen, so ist dies nach 22:00 in der Regel auch kein Problem. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich. Ich habe selber einen der Angestellten über eine halbe Stunde behelligt, und er war immer noch sehr nett. Am Ende hatte ich eine Reservierung für ein Event bei niemand etwas anderes als japanisch sprach und einen Taxifahrer, welcher mich hinterher noch in ein Museum gefahren hat mir dort alles erklärte. Aber es sei darauf hingewiesen, das es ein sehr traditionelles Hotel, also ein Ryokan ist. Dies bedeutet auch das man 2mal die Schuhe wechseln muss um auf's Klo zu gehen. Auch das Frühstück ist traditionell. Es gibt reichlich, aber halt keine Scheibe Toast.
