Best hotels & accommodations in Osaka

Hotel Ichiei is one of the best hotel I have stayed in Japan. The Japanese Western room is very large compared to the shoeboxes in Tokyo. The deco are a mixture of old & modern Japan which have blended in beautifully. WiFi is available on each level and can be easily access (& fast) from the room. The main selling point for Hotel Ichiei is the location. It is convenie...

Yamatoya Honten Ryokan Osaka Hotel is good at its location for shopping, eating and entertainment. The hotel is located closely to "shinsaibanshi" where is the most popular shopping ,eatiing and entertainment spot for local people and traveller. The services of the hotel is good. Staff can speak fluent English and they are helpful to guest. I strongly recommented this ...

We stayed here for four nights with our two young children (ages 1.5 and 4). The location is excellent--it's within easy walking distance of the subway, and there's an excellent udon place down the street. The rooms are older, but that just makes them all the more charming. They are very comfortable and extremely clean. We stayed in a tatami room, which was great for t...

Holiday in Japan is meaningless without staying at Ryokan, Japanese home style. Before going holiday, we searched so many in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka as our destination to these 3 cities and decided to stay at hotel in Tokyo & Kyoto while as our last day in Osaka for only 1 day staying at Ryokan to avoid can't sleep well. Staying at hotel Tokyo and Kyoto is typica...

The staff and the boss of the hotel are very nice. Notably, we added 1 extra day reservation due to the typhoon and the boss of the hotel offered us with discounted price. In addition, due to the flight schedule resumed sooner than expected after the typhoon, thus, we're leaving at abt 6pm of the last day, and the boss of the hotel realized that we're just staying hal...

Traveler impressions of Osaka
Wonderful place for shopping and going easily around with various public trains system. Good place for business and traveling.
Osaka castle is a must visit. Universal City is cool. Skiing at Biwako Valley was awesome! Food cheaper than Tokyo
Best for people who loves Japanese cuisine, U get best deal for the high quality food wagyu, sashimi, etc
I have been here in Osaka four times and I still love seeing the place! It's always a memorable time for me in this City :-)
Lovely city if you intend to go for the street food, dining and shopping. Osaka itself has not much sightseeing.
subways are so convenient for travelers to reach anywhere an ease. a busy and modern international city.
actualy osaka is business city but if you go for holiday there is alot of place u can visit for culture nature n sightseeing.
Great location for anyone that wishes to cover Osaka, Kyoto (only 30 minutes by JR Train from Osaka Station) and Kobe (only 30 minutes by JR Train from Osaka Station).
There is no way to see everything that Osaka has to offer in one night. It'll be at least two or three days before you can explore all the neighborhoods well.
I love Osaka. Osaka has almost everything. Main attractions such as Universal Studio, Aquarium, Dotonburi, Shinshabashi Arcade (+ many more arcades), Kuromon market, Housing and Living Museum (can rent Kimono with small token), Osaka Castle, etc etc are MUST visit places at Osaka.
You can enjoy all the Japanese food in Osaka. Almost all worldwide branding can be found in osaka. But I especially like local brand.
Osaka is the best place for Japan lover starter. It's got everything -great location to visit other great cities and its own shopping places
Great shopping places and good food from all over Japan can be found in Osaka. People are generally friendly and helpful especially to tourists.
Another big city which is very convenient to travel around. Good food and lots to shop around. But may not offer you relax time as limited countryside areas
The Universal Studio Osaka is one of the attractive point must go but have to avoid weekend. Too many people & everything is long queqe.
Convenient starting point to vist Nara area, Himeji and Kobe area by train. Popular places to visit are Osaka Castle, Todaji Temple, Nara Park, Himeji Castle & Kobe Harbour.
So much to see and do- make sure you can speak a little Japanese at the very least. It'll help you get around, people are friendly and will go out of their way to help you find where you're looking for.
In a 24 day span, 2 separate trips, I seen so much of Osaka and its tourists attractions most locals told me they didn't see as much as I did.
the only place in japan that you have to stand on the other of the escalator. Interesting souvenir 'making fun' of the famous one.
Umeda sky building is worth a visit to check out their city view. Visit their Orange street for cafes and home and deco shopping indulgence.
Sagano Scenic Railway is a good transport to enjoy the beautiful scene of Hozu valley located in the Katsura River.
We were only there for half a day and a night but were very impressed with what saw during this short stay.
We have difficulty to find the people can speak English, also have problem to use the ticket machine as they have no English to advise how to use!
Osaka Castle is quite nice the around environment view. Dontobori & Shinsaibashi is quite good for shopping.
Great place to try lots of food, esp. the local "okonomiyaki". Kids Plaza Osaka is a great place to take children.
The beauty of Osaka or Japan as a whole is the people. The history , cleanliness , relaxation is all there.
Overall, I have great experience with no Japanese language knowledge. People are nice and helpful. But, I feel that the information stated by the brochure or attractions are not informative.
It is worthwhile to pay a short visit in Osaka. It can be that arriving by plane from overseas in Osaka Kansai airport and visit Dotonbori, Peace museum, Osaka Imperial Palace (a must to go), Osaka tower.
Just a friendly city ..easy to get around..great restaurants and shopping..with staff so very courteous and helpful.
