This Hotel is the perfect location if you want to be close to the action but like a good night's sleep. You can walk to the beach about in 20 minutes, alot of resteraunts close by and cheap, good food. Not far from 7/11, mini big c, Mr DIY. The owners are lovely, friendly, welcoming people who will help you with anything you need including planning your activities for much less than the tour guides will offer. We rented out scooter at the hotel for a week it was actually the cheapest I've ever paid in 7 years since travelling Thailand and well kept. Spacious clean rooms, TV you can watch your Netflix or YouTube on. Petrol station 20m from the property with main roads that will take you all over Krabi if you're driving. Highly recommend.

We spent a week at SJ House and we really liked the place. Room is spacious and clean, bed is comfy, location is perfect as it’s close to the jungle. The management is absolutely helpful and caring, they maintain the pool and takes good care of the surroundings. We even rented a bike from them for a way better price comparing to AoNang. I’d definitely come back here!

Great value - basic but in a quiet area”
The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The house itself is about 7-10 min drive to the main beach, but you can rent a scooter from the hostel, so we actually preferred being in this area. It's nice and quiet and has nature around. The pool isn't that inviting and overall the house is a bit rough in some places, but the price is affordable, so wouldn't expect luxury. The owner could do some quick reno(like finishing lamps etc in rooms) and it could be nicer then. Overall - recommend if coming to the area! :)

SJ house is 5 minutes by motorcycle out of the centre of Ao Nang - lovely staff and very clean & quiet surrounded by nature. Also it’s a 10 minute drive to Klong Mueng Beach - just heading towards Ao nang from SJ there are cheap restaurants much better value than the ones in the centre. My room was very clean with quality fixtures and fittings there’s also a nice pool to use and my balcony was very big - overall 10/10 great hotel and owner 🙂

Nice hotel spoilt by aggressive dog owned by proprietors. ”
I would really like to give this hotel 10/10 but our stay was spoilt by the owner's aggressive dog being allowed to wander around the hotel unattended. We were not alone in being concerned by the dog's aggression as one day a young woman would not enter the hotel when she came back to the hotel during the day with her partner: she was visible upset and left the hotel until the hotel owners returned and put the dog away.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner is very friendly and gave us a free upgrade. The room was very spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Nice TV too! You will need a scooter if you stay there but you can rent them from the hotel!

Il y a des scooter en location dans l’hôtel. La gérante a des réductions sur toute les activités, elles peut vers le transfert vers la station de bus. Das Personal wirklich sehr nett. Im Zimmer ist alles okay, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank... Der Pool wird jedem Tag gereinigt. Ich bin noch 2 Tage länger geblieben.
