WE HAD AN AMAZING STAY”
The receptionist can speak good English and can communicate well. There's some cottages with a lake view you can relax and just enjoy ma scenery. ROOM IS SO CLEAN! vibes of the room is so native and good. No need for air condition it's cold specially at night. We had fun playing pool table every single night of our stay and they have chess bored too. Room is so spacious and so worth it! I would recommend this place! Also, their beds are so good haha the best bed we had so far since we started traveling lol! So clean. Just staying in their room is also an experience! :) kudos to the owner for a very nice taste.

Great hostel ”
Lovely peaceful location and very helpful and welcoming staff. Stayed 4 nights and could have stayed a few days more. Also probably the comfiest bed I have slept in traveling in South East Asia.

Exceptional”
I had a private room and it was nice. This hotel is a bit far from the city center but if you have a bicycle or a scooter it is ok. You have a lot of spot to chill in front of the river. Very relaxing place.

Chill vibe, but cons outweigh the pros”
If your goal is to relax, go nowhere and do nothing, then this is a great place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and our time outside. However, everything was dirty, run down and the mosquitoes would not quit. They have some good food and drink options, but my husband got sick after eating dinner and was up all night. Also, the only people who would speak to us were international "volunteers." We had a great time on their river cruise and expected the same level of service. Unfortunately, we were left quite disappointed.

Sa Sa "Wow"!!”
Me and girlfriend were recommended this hostel by a fellow traveller and we could'nt have been more happier! The whole place is beautifully decorated with bamboo and has a real homey feel to it. I would go as far as saying its one of the best hostels ive ever stayed in. The staff went above and beyond to help us. We booked a 3 day slowboat/minivan trip to Chiang Mai from the hostel and they kept in contact with us to ensure there was no problems along the way. Thank you Sa Sa Lao for the good vibes and great service! Anyone going to Luang Prabang muat stay here!

Very good”
If you wanna stay in the center of the city, this is not the place for you. But If you prefer staying away a little bit farther from the city with the amazing view from the terrace overlooking Nam Khan River with sort of property's private bamboo raft for just chilling watching sunset, this is the place. I stayed in the dorm and it was clean enough. Even though, I found myself have trouble sleeping at night because of the heat during my stay. But everything else was good. I had a pleasant stay.

Great place for chilling ”
Sa Sa Lao located on the riverside of Nam Khan river, a bit far away from the city center. It takes 20 - 25 minutes walking to the center, but it's worth it. I did enjoy the beautiful garden and the stunning sunset view over the river at Sa Sa Lao. Plus I met cool people there :d There are a few things I think Sa Sa Lao needs to improve: - The place does not accept credit card. - The hot water in my room does not really work. - There is a mouse in my dorm room.

Absolutely amazing ”
This is definitely the nicest place we have stayed at in our entire time in Asia. The room was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. The staff were wonderful and the food was great. We even had a free sunset boat ride through the hotel. Everything was just amazing, we would return without hesitation and highly recommend Sasa Lao.

The best stay ever”
The best hotel ever. Only negative point is a bit far from the city. But you can reach there by about 20 minutes walk and you can rent a bicycle if you need. I was so tired when I arrived by long journey in Vietnam. I needed good rest. When I entered the entrance,I was sooooo surprised and smiled! There were everything! Amazingly delicious food, beautiful garden, Kind people, super comfortable bed, and perfect space for taking rest. I'm so pity that I stay only two night here. But If I have an opportunity to came Laos again, I'll come back here definitely, for sure. Thanks for very much!!!!!

Location was far”
Location was far from like the center but other than that, the staff were amazing. The owner invited the guests (including me) to go on a lunch on the other side of the river. It was great to experience local food and to go to that side of Laos. :)

Your comfort is their concern”
Highly recommended! Got a private room during my stay. Late in the evening, the couple next to my room were arguing for hours to the point that they have been inconveniently disturbing guests. I asked help for them to talk to the couple and the owner himself talked to them. Later on, the couple started arguing again so the staff (without me asking) offered to just transfer me to a different room to make sure i get a good sleep (since I just arrived that afternoon) and also because the bar / resto will be closing soon. I ended up getting a better view - river side. All through out my stay, every staff took care of me and made sure that things are in order. The only downside is that it is far from the townproper. They do have motorbike rentals, so should be fine. If you feel like walking, you can do so but its going to be 15-20min walk.

Very pleasant”
This place is a very pleasant hotel, feels like gusthouse with a very friendly owner and staff: we had a great time there, discussing, laughting, having perfect massages with an amazing view on the river. We even wnet to the dancing with other guests and the staff for a great time in a insolite place, thanks!,

Tropical oasis ”
We are a family of 5 and we stayed in the 6 need dorm, renting all the beds for privacy. The shower was a little cool as we couldn't get the hot water to work - but we didn't really need a warm shower with the hot weather. Needs and pillows are really comfortable, and there are secure lockers beneath each bunk bed. The restaurant serves great food and cocktails. Great place to relax beside the river. The kids loved the garden

Beautiful place on banks of Nam Khan River”
Pros: beautifully landscaped hostel in banks of river with awesome chill out areas and decks on river front. Feels like you're in the jungle, very pretty & relaxing. Nice private double room made of bamboo, natural air circulation & fans kept it beautifully cool. Ensuite bathroom. Cons: it's a bit out of town, which is the trade off for the river front setting. This didn't bother us but is 25 min walk approx. Noise was an issue, other reviews mention a karaoke bar which wasn't a problem at all, but the 2 private rooms adjoin & are made of bamboo so no soundproofing. 2 nights we had to ask the people next to us to shut up because they didn't appeeciate this. Could be easily solved with an explanation from management at check in and a notice in the room. At times staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, they gave my breakfast to someone else by mistake then made him pay for it, another time they wanted to charge us an extra 5,000 for milk for coffee!!

Place is located in a peaceful area:) very nice and green around.”
Very nice place!!!! Delicious food and lot space to explore:) massage and cooking classes. Place to meditate and contemplate or work. We did yoga in terrace and they also have a turtle saved from the market. Mekong River is just few steps down if you want to cool yourself- a bit muddy but cold.
