More about Safari Beach Hotel

Located in the middle of all the action on Phuket's Patong Beach is this classy hotel, located a minute away from the beach. The most notable feature when you walk into the hotel are the tall coconut trees that have been a part of the landscape for the past 20 years. Go for a quick swim in the pool or head to the beach for a round of water sports. Enjoy a meal at either of the restaurants, which guests will be pleased to know are open until midnight. But being in Patong, you don't have to fear about not being able to grab a bite to eat, with many places serving food late into the night. In the heart of the action, with the beach on the horizon, Safari Beach Hotel definitely covers the main aspects of a fun beach hotel.

Good location & rooms but a little noisy at night”

Friendly, helpful front desk staff, awesome location and really nice comfy rooms

decided to take a break from bangkok by unwinding in good ole' phuket. we usually stay in patong so we decided to give safari beach hotel a shot as it's on the other end of the strip that we seeked to explore more on. the hotel is quaint with the resident friendly stray dog that snoozes on the front porch. our room was really nice and comfy, everything looked new and there was even a good dvd player for us to watch $2 dvds on! the room comes with a small little balcony that faces the pool but blocked from the main bustling patong street. housekeeping always came on time leaving us all our necessities and a front desk that went out of their way to recommend good transport to the airport and arranged everything for us in thai with the cab driver. the restaurant next to it savoey is well worth the money and has seafood/grills at good cost (they also do room service which is awesome). there's always a decent crowd of diners there. bangla road is less than a min walk away but at night it gets pretty noisy with the blaring techno music from the a-go-go bars in the distance and tourists partying on the beach with the sound of fireworks popping ever so often - not so good if you're a very light sleeper. overall we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at safari beach hotel and i recommend giving it a try for a decent price!

Safari Hotel in Patong Beach”

1) Rooms were very nice - especially the wash room 2) Very good location 3) Staff were extremely nice and friendly 4) Good breakfast by the beach 5) overall, good value for money
They have an expensive airport transfer - but you can easily get it elsewhere. They will tell you how.

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room in Safari. I was pretty happy to get this hotel room. It is very clean, modern, cheap, well-located - definitely good value for money. 1) The room was very nice - modern furnishings and very very clean. 2) The location is at the heart of Patong. Very close to the beach and to Bang La road. Just a few steps from the beach and to the main street for the nightlife. It is very close to Savoey restaurant (i think they have the same owner) which was really really good as well. 3) The staff were very friendly and flexible. My friend had an emergency while we were there - and the staff managed the situation really well. 4) The rates were fairly cheap for the value that we were able to get. I will definitely come back and use this hotel again next time I visit Phuket. I similarly recommend this hotel to first-time Patong / Phuket visitors.

Superb Hotel & Great Place to stay”

Clean rooms, helpful and happy staff, air con in rooms, and great breakfast.

If your looking for a clean and good price hotel in Patong Bay then the Safari Beach hotel is your best choice. It's very close to the best nightlife in Phuket. The hotel is very well priced with different standards in room types. i choose the Deluxe room. My room was clean, it had an AC that help throughout the warm nights. The room was cleaned daily by the staff, the room came with a free safe. The bathroom had a walk in shower and was clean as well. The room also had a TV, mini bar and free water. A great choice of hotel. I will be coming here again!

Best location and ultimate privacy in Patong”

I had safari deluxe room on the 2nd floor (the 1st floor is actually ground floor). There is not much of stairs and no elevator which is a big plus because I like it better that way. You go out and come in immediately to and from the room to the beach road. You don’t need to walk through a lobby cause there isn’t one. Which is another great plus. I hate walking through a lobby each time I go out or come back to the room. All of this make you feel like in a cabin. The room has a beautiful green trees landscape. Like you are in the woods. Room super clean. Hot water great. Water pressure great. Bed great. I never ate breakfast as I always wake up too late.. AC great (and keeps going when you leave the room so always come back to a cold room). There is no bath in the room only regular shower which is better than the other way aroung. Also no hand nose in the shower – only a wall unit (also better than the other way around..). Internet – super super fast. I wish I have one like this back in my home… I downloaded iOS update of 2.5GB in just 25 Minutes… its amazing !! however you should log in to “safari beach 6” as the other wifi nets of the hotel are slower. However once you logged in you are always automatically logged in the moment you enter the hotel premises which is great. 2 cons however (but far far from being a “deal breaker”): 1) the minibar is too small and full of the hotel beverages so it is not convenient to put in your water bottles..; 2) there is some light “bass” noise (at about midnight and up to 3 am) getting from clubs in bangla road to the hotel, like the hotel is a “subwoofer”. It did not matter much to me as anyway I went to sleep late or otherwise fell asleep sooner because I was tired. But it is there and may annoy people who are VERY sensitive to noise issue. (like if you get annoyed from washing machine/refrigerator sound back at your home..) However – I would NOT trade the hotel super great location (as well as other upsides..) in return to

Really nice hotel near Patong beach”

very near Patong beach

I really enjoyed my stay in Safari beach hotel. Its near Patong beach and Bangla road. It was my first time to visit Phuket so I wanted to see the nightlife and I enjoyed it! We stayed in a room which is facing the reception so the music coming from Bangla road was not that loud. We could only hear the faint booming of music. The room is very clean and aircon was really good. I loved the breakfast selection. I love the "garden style" of the hotel although its also a haven for mosquitoes so better bring mosquito repellent. All in all, it was an enjoyable and pleasant stay.

Great hotel with a great location”

Location, friendly staff, nice room

This was my first visit to Phuket and I had done some research about which hotel to stay at. Safari Beach Hotel kept coming up with positive reviews so I gave it a shot. I'd have to say the reviews were well warranted. The best thing about Safari Beach is the location. It is literally across the street from Patong Beach and around the corner from Bangla Road. Everything you could want for both day and night activities. The room itself is a little dated looks wise but clean and functional with a nice bed and bathroom. That's all you really need right? The staff is also very nice and helpful. I was very happy with my stay and would greatly recommend Safari Beach Hotel to anybody.

Room was a great size and very clean”

The staff were very friendly and hotel was very close to the beach.
Pool water quality was disappointing

I really enjoyed my stay at Safari Beach Hotel. It's close to the beach and just around the corner from the famous Bangala Rd, the main bar area and night life. The hotel doesn't look the best from the outside but the rooms are great. I stayed in a contepary delux room and wouldn't have changed anything about my room. The room was nice and clean and a great size. The staff were very helpful and assisted all they could with any request I had. The pool was a bit disapointing. I looks great on the photos but the water was great one day, and green the next, the next day the water was cloudy and had to much chlorine, so much so i couldn't swim in it, I assume they filled it with chlorine to get rid of teh green water. The breakfast was meant to be a buffet but for some reason there was no buffet while I was there, I had to order off a menu, the food was very nice still.

Safari Beach Hotel, Patong Beach, Phuket. ”

- very good location surrounded by all kind of restaurants and pubs. - 1 min walking distance to Pub Street. - Beach is just right in front of the hotel. - Clean and big room! - Good breakfast.
- For those who prefer transquil may find it too lousy at night as noices come from the disco at the Pub Street.

This is my second visit to Phuket. First visit was back to 2008 and when I walked along the Patong beach, I spotted Safari Beach hotel and I told myself that this would be my next hotel to stay if I ever visit Phuket. When I planned to visit Phuket, I decided to book Safari Beach Hotel and it was a correct decision as I like the hotel very much - close to Pub Street, Night Market, Shopping Mall and is surrounded by many restaurants!

One of the best hotels in Phuket except for one thing... ”

We booked the Beach Wing Suite for our honeymoon. The room offers the best view among the available accommodations and is quite spacious. It offers a clear and unobstructed view of the beach and is located right on the beach, across the road from the reception area. The services at Safari Beach Hotel are good with an exception - the breakfast buffet is pretty limited and leaves plenty for imagination. We got nothing but toasted bread, a couple of beverages and fruits for consumption. It is quite limited and they could add a dish or two. It's also evident that they want you to order from the menu even if 'breakfast is included' with your stay. Those booking from Agoda must ask about the spread before booking. Our experience with the staff was good except for the head of staff at the breakfast buffet. We were treated differently than other guests by their senior staff member, a woman in her 40s at the restaurant. Let me explain - Every day at breakfast, we were being followed by her to see what we were consuming, what we took on our plates, for breakfast, each day! She kept looking and counting! We kept ignoring her thinking she must be following the rules, there must be some limit to what you can consume and hence she must be counting the things we take on our plate (quite strange if these are the rules but we toed the line and kept to ourselves) It was evident that we were being racially profiled by her. None of the other guests were being followed nor being subjected to poor treatment. On our last day at the hotel, she stopped us from picking an extra yoghurt cup during breakfast. It felt quite insulting frankly because no other guest was being stopped to take anything from the spread. Since the breakfast buffet was pretty limited, we used to fill up our plates with fruits, yoghurt and even a couple of toast sandwiches we made from the available, salad & cold cuts. We chose not to order as the items on the menu didn't seem appetizing enough. It's clear

So far-y, So good-y.”

This hotel is fantastically located for the Patong restaurants, bars , beaches and night life. Pretty much all you need is a stones throw away. The staff are helpful and friendly, the swimming pool is lovely and the Savoey Seafood restaurant that is connected is great. And all very reasonably priced. There are more luxurious hotels not far, but value for money the Safari Beach hotel is right up there for anyone who hasn't got a huge budget. Highly recommended.

Great stay at Safari Beach Hotel!”

helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great atmosphere

We had an excellent stay at the Safari Beach Hotel. We were 4 young adults traveling on a budget and found that these accomodations were almost luxurious at an affordable price! The front desk staff was always attentive and helpful and our rooms were comfortable and had great garden terraces. Also couldn't have asked for a better location; we were a stones throw from the beach and were able to stop back at our hotel in between every activity, shopping sessoin, or meal. Definitley reccommend Safari Beach to any travelers looking to be in the midst of it all and still experience decent accomodations.

Great location, Good Value for the money”

Location, staff and size of room

The location of the Safari Beach Hotel is perfect; right accross the street from the beach, 1 block from walking street and practically next door from a very good Thai seafood restaurant. The hotel is on the smaller side with not so many rooms...this is a good thing since it never feels crowded. The size of the room is more than big enough and everything works fine in the room. The design of the open show should be changed because when you take a shower, the water goes all over the floor. This is my only semi-complaint about the room. The hotel staff, all of them from the front reception to the bellboys are ever so nice and friendly. This is my 2nd stay at this hotel and I would definately keep going back there. The breakfast which is included, is simple but plentiful. No complaints except I wish they had a gym.

Close to beach and nightlife but still quiet enough to relax

we found this resort to have an excellent location with nice spacious rooms and wonderful staff. the staff bent over backwards to help us making calls on our behalf and even storing our bags after we checked out and left for phi phi for a day. the palm trees block out the noise from busier streets and the attached savoy restaurants food is excellent with good value for money. it is 100m from the beach and close to night life so you don't need to rent a scooter unless driving out of patong. we loved our stay and want to thank the staff of safari beach hotel for their helpfulness and smiles.

Noisy disco behind hotel until 7.30am”

Near to beach

this was our second stay here, we had 3 rooms as thei are 5 adults and 2 small children in our party hotel front desk staff very helpful and friendly, in fact all staff at this hotel are very friendly and happy to help and always with a big smile pool ok be aware that some guests get up early to save sun beds and do not use them until late well after 11.30 and some just save them for the sake of it, very awkward. spoke to hotel staff to ask what thei policy is on saving sun beds, they said they would speak to the hotel owner to get more beds and change policy. to be very fare they did put a few more seats out best to go to the beach all day, just across the road access through the patong bay garden, on the beach they have the best comfortable sun beds 150 baht with a towel. great food sellers on the beach very cheap and also their drinks are cheap and they are very happy smiley and friendly (they work so hard all day to look after tourist needs) seller 34 does the best bar b que chicken you would ever taste, also seller 4 great for drinks. near to night life as bangle road so close to hotel, great place for drinking and people watching, fun place to be in the evenings. good food restaurants the buffalo steak house friendly and good steaks and thai food, recommend this place. jungceylon shopping also close by. beware. of the people with the lomas animals taking pictures do not encourage this these dear little animals, are poisinous and stink. also it's not good for this cute little aminal so very scared and frighten must be a bit ,dope up. now for the down side of the hotel, very very noisy althrough the nigh a disco is going and does not finish until 7.39am, the base shakes the room and the noise is very disturbing. sad thing is the hotel cannot do anything about this as the owner has good connections with the patong government and police. what a terrible shame as this could be a great hotel with it's perfect location not suitable for young children

Location is great for Patong”

When I go to Phuket, I always rent a vehicle. Staying in one place means you miss a lot of the island's beauty. Patong is the most touristy place of Phuket and it's known for its night life which is mostly for adults. Safari Beach puts you right in the middle of Patong across the road from the beach. For those who bring cars, the parking space is limited but adequate. An attendant will move your car around as other vehicles move in and out of the small parking area. Safari Beach Hotel is a good place to stay.

Good location but noisy”

Near to beach and bangla road

second stay here we had 3 rooms as their was 6 adults and 2 small children. rooms are very nice so is the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and approachable willing to please. 2 minuiet walk to the beach across the main road (not a problem). pool area ok but be aware hotel does not have a policy about people saving sun beds all day and not sitting on then (one day we experience sun bed wars as we could not get a sun bed as people save them from early morning some with no intention of using them) spoke to hotel reception and they said they will speak to owner of the hotel to perhaps get more beds and change the policy about reserving them. breakfast a bit boring and what should be hot food is more often cold, them again some guests are a bit greedy taking too much at once, staff but too helpful or friendly at breakfast. best beach sun beds are outside the patong bay garden resort which is a goo cut through to the beach, 150 baht for comfy bed and a towel. down side of this hotel is that right behind it is a disco, which goes on until 7.30am cannot here the music but the bass drives you crazy and you can hear this in the rooms. not a relaxing hotel stay you can even hear this bass even though wearing ear plugs spoke to hotel staff nothing they or the owner can do about this, i said i would speak to our consulate as the owner of this disco has too many connections in the patong thai government. such a scame as this could be an ideal place to stay not suitable for children and if you require peace and quite.

Location, breakfast, pool

The hotel deserves generous appraisal. Location is perfect towards both- beach and hot spots of the city life, including Jungceilon (shopping) and Banglarod (night life). Despite of the small size of overall hotel's area , there is a beautiful garden with huge jungle trees scattered along the way to main building with compact but elegant swimming pool situated between the main building and hotel's evening restaurant serving fresh seafood of all kinds. My suggestion to those planning to stay in Safari Beach Hotel would be: just concentrate your attention at times you happen to be crossing roadway on the way to beach as there is intensive traffic and in Thailand there is left hand traffic.
