Totally recommended ”
The hotel was great. Beach was stunning. Great for swimming; we were afraid of the sharks, luckily we didn’t encounter any while swimming. The over water villas are worth every penny. We took the semi water villa, it was better because it was closer to the restaurant and reception. However, little privacy since at lunch time people at the restaurant could see you swimming. Especially if you’re in semi water room number 131-134 However, still better than the beach villa. Beach villa looks nice and over look the sandy side of the beach which is perfect for swimming without any sharks. Semi water villas overlook a lot of reefs so you will see sharks and it is the best spot for snorkeling. I loved that they cleaned the room twice daily. Buffet was nice had a wide variety of food selection, not fancy tho but it’s what you paid for. We stayed 4 days and each day there were something new to the buffet not the same thing every day. If you’re honeymooners they will give you a complimentary candle light dinner. Which is so cute. I think the hotel needs to renovate their furniture and mattress as well

Exceptional”
The water bungalows were incredibly spacious with beautiful views. We loved snorkeling to the reef right from our bungalow. I traveled with my 16 year old and 11 year old and they weren't bored at all with options of snorkeling, swimming in the lagoon or the pool. The laid back nature of the resort was perfect.

Recommended island!”
Most important for me: life in water. In a nutshell: spent my days between approx 25 nurse sharks ,depth of water between 50 cm and 1m. Fantastic! Large grey sharks, white and blacktips.. it was a real shark soup. I recommend semi water bungalows as they are located at the reef. Perfect view, good food and spa.

Safari island is a lovely location, with sandy beaches that are well kept free of litter. The rooms are large with a good deck to sun bath. We stayed in a water Villa that was towards the end of the jetty, so there was a quite a walk to the bars and restaurant. The Palm bar and restaurant is lovely and if you are all inclusive you have your own table every night. The Palm bar could become busy if the hotel is full. Unfortunately the management appear to allow smoking in this bar and when weather conditions are poor other guests are affected by the selfish people that smoke as the sides that are normal open are closed. All the staff are very attentive and wonderful. Great location for a quiet very relaxing holiday.

Place in nice location with nice personel, however cockroches made our holiday not so great!”
Hotel is located in really nice place, 30 min from Male. Transfer was smooth and without any problems. We could count on help of all hotel staff without any issues. Food provided in the hotel restaurant was good and varied. What, however, strongly discouraged us was the fact that we had in our water villas cockroaches. It happened, not only once, but couple of times. What is important, the problem was not only with one villa, but also with other one, that was offered to us by the management of hotel. We in total met 4 big cocroches, which were either in wardrboe, room or in toilet. Hotel service was sent to deal with the insects, however I believe the problem is much bigger. We were already in Maldives in other resort with 4-stars, however there we have not had such accident. Hotel offered us the discount on total sum of costs, however still we would not like to come here back again. Also the personel was varing - waiters in the restaurant were not too nice; others were polite.

Scam Island!”
I'll keep this brief. The reason why it's called safari island is because the guests are continously scammed by the staff for sport! What to expect. • waterd down drinks • dirty rooms • rude staff • lies and disappointments Please consider booking somewhere more reputable.

Beautiful, relaxing stay. ”
As there are certainly only a few reviews thus far, I will try my best to be as descriptive as possible. We arrived by seaplane to safari island. It is a beautiful place. The island itself is very small, but very attractive. The name absolutely does it no justice. As we arrived, we were immediately checked in and taken to our bungalow. The entire point of our trip was to get away from everything, including large crowds of people. I was somewhat worried when I saw as many rooms as there were, but pleasantly surprised after it was all said and done. We stayed in room 165 which was the second room from the end facing the reef. I would definitely suggest this room. Being so close together I was worried about privacy, but all bungalows had privacy fences and you could not see anyone else's outside deck. The food was buffet style, which is not my favorite choice, but the staff is EXCEPTIONAL. The dining area and bar has awesome views and there were never more than 6 or 8 couples at a time it seemed. There are 80 something rooms and they have 80 employees on the island. I suggest staying 7 nights min, as they let you take out one of the boats for a "full day" trip that you can do whatever you want. We chose going to a local island, snorkeling, fishing, and dining on your very own uninhabited island. I'm running out of room to type so I have to make it quick. Overall- staff was superb, room was very nice and furnished well, very secluded and private, food was just okay, reef was amazing (and I have been all over the world), price was unbeatable. It will be going up in price soon guaranteed. Would definitely refer if you are looking to relax and be away from everything. Also want to mention that about half of the rooms were occupied and the island really felt pretty empty. I think it will still feel the same even at full occupancy. Wonderful experience overall. Hope you enjoy as much as we did!

R & R To the next level.”
-The aiport transfers were organized. It takes about 20mins on a sea plane to get to the island. -The island is small, but beautiful and a paradise on its own. You can walk around its circumference and will take you only 5-10mins. -The resort has a house reef which was excellent! We snorkeled everyday. So many fish, sharks, rays.. The only sad part is that most of the reef we saw in Maldives are bleeched. -Stayed in a watervilla which was so nice! Loved the feel of the traditional Maldivian style of wood. The room was cleaned twice a day! We tried both sides, west where the sunsets and facing the jetty and the east, sunrise side which leads directly to the reef. We preferred the east side. -Also stayed 1 night on a dhoni, the traditional Maldivian boat which they use for safari trips. It was really nice. Got the boat just for ourselves (plus the crew) ofc. We were able to swim with the turtles during the trip and had a romantic lunch on a tiny island. -We opt for the All In which was convenient as we didnt have to calculate whenever we order something. We loved the buffet 3x a day. Plently of choices and food was great! Wines and cocktails were also good. Try the coco dream, super nice😉. Shout out to out server, Hussein, who took care of us in the resto! -Staff were accomodating and helpful. I got a cake and they decorated our room for my birthday😬 -This island is a total relaxed island. It is very quiet and peaceful, no loud parties, whatsoever. If you are looking for a place to relax, chill, and get away from the hustle and bustle completely, choose this island😊. You will take most of your time admiring this paradise cus you wont have choice, wifi is too slow to be connected so connect with nature instead.

Perfect for Couples!”
Firstly, Maldives is generally a bloody expensive place! So having said that, the price my husband and I paid for a water villa with full board was a steal in comparison to other resorts. The staff generally rendered good service. I did not think too highly of the restaurant staff service. Majority looked like they were forced to give smiles and such. Which brings me to a sore point: Drinks are not free considering it was full board. I understand if payment was needed for beer, liqour and even coffee or tea. BUT WATER? Wifi is only accessible at the lobby and restaurant area. Having said that we primarily had an outstanding time at Safari Island because of the privacy and the choice of activities to choose from. When going to Maldives, I would highly recommend the experience of travelling by seaplane instead of choosing islands nearer to the city.

Perfect holidays! ”
I had the best time in Safari Island! Everything was just perfect from the beginning. I was traveling alone so they made me feel very welcome the whole time. The room was great and had someone coming and cleaning twice a day. 2 bottles of water was offered daily. The food was delicious, the chef was great and kind coming to ask the guests if they were satisfied almost daily. Even on a day that the food was mostly Asian, he would offer to cook you something else if the food wasn’t for you. The Island is pure beauty, the house reef is perfect and only snorkeling you have the perfect experience of Maldives nature. The Safari boat trip offered to guests that stayed more than 7 nights was something else. I had a boat only for myself and the crew made everything to make my experience unique. The lunch at the sand bank was something that I’ll never forget. If you are considering this place, don’t think twice, I’m so glad I made this choice!

Silver Wedding Anniversary.”
We visited Safari Island from 11-19 August 2018 to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary!! The island was tranquil and peaceful. We had a water bungalow (158) . The room was clean, bright and airy. We had a can of insect spray so expected the worst but only one bug in our 8 days. This could be helped by the fogging that happens regular to keep them at bay. The team on the island are all fantastic, greeted us personally, always had a smile and a wave, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and a good variety each day. Cocktail list as long as your arm too! We loved all the marine life from morning to night, sharks, rays, colourful fish, crabs and more! We had a cruise on our anniversary and a romantic table for two for dinner... sadly the sea was rough as we hit storms and couldn’t eat on the beach. Sadly can’t help the weather but wish we’d been rescheduled to enjoy it. Overall 5 stars from us both!!! We will recommend you to others. Well done Safari Island Team!

PARADISE IN MALDIVES”
We were a group of 14 pax. 10 of us are all Scuba Divers. We stayed from from a different dive resort for 3 days just to dive and our 3 days here at Safari Island to relax. When the first time we saw this paradise island from our boat, We were like, "WOW! We wished we just stay here all the way for 6 days straight" that was just the first glimpse of the resort. When we experienced the resort, We really wanted to extend our vacation but it can't be done because of our businesses back home. I would highly recommend this resort. Very clean, Fine sand, Great food, Fabulous Island Experience with Great marine life. (We saw a lot of Black Tip Sharks and Sting Rays by just walking by the shore and at night, 4 huge Nurse Sharks and 5 Huge Marble Rays.. Crazy isn't?)

Honeymooners in PARADISE!!!”
Can not thank the staff at the Safari Island Resort enough for giving us and enjoyable and memorable Honeymoon. All the staff were friendly to speak with and all went above and beyond for our stay. The week we had here in a semi water bungalow was everything we could of dreamt of. Brilliant location, snorkelling from your back balcony over beautiful reefs and plenty of fish. Enjoyed a day trip around local islands where we experienced eating our lunch on a private sand bank in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Something we both will never forget. Wi-Fi was a little difficult to get onto at times but with a little bit of persistence it was ok.

MIND BLOWING”
I cannot recommend Safari Island enough. We went there for a week for our honeymoon and we received the absolute VIP treatment. Every single staff member were so attentive and helpful and fulfilled every single request we had even if it was something they didn't usually offer. We will definitely return some day. There are so many activities to do or you can relax in many places around the island. Our favourite part of our stay was our private charted boat that we go taken out on for the day. Just myself and my husband along with 3 wonderful staff. This day was AMAZING!! We had lunch (just my husband and I) on a uninhabited island. It was so surreal in the middle on the indian ocean and having lunch on a island and there is NO one else around as far as the eye can see. The staff went back on the boat which was anchored out past the reef. I have nothing bad to say about my experience and I highly recommend this destination especially for honeymooners!

Beautiful places, it needs to be protected!”
Really good! - Beautiful place and nice persons, including the local people and our service guy at the table! :) - Food excellent - NEED TO PROTECT THIS PARADISES! Not good (or recommendation for next guests) at Safari Islands: - No WIFI in the rooms, only at reception and bar/restaurant - At the BAR only, really lazy and long service time! Please get your drinks directly at the bar! NOTE: your last point "Was würden Sie in Maldives Islands besonders empfehlen?": where is the option "Nature" ???
