Lies, lies, lies! Don't stay here!”
This place is so far out of town! Way more than the 1km mentioned in the description. You have to take a taxi to get to the town centre and good luck finding one to take you home that knows where it is. They didn't have our booking when we arrived (they didn't receive and email from agoda - not sure whose fault that is) but managed to sort it out with the English speaking manager who staff called on the phone. There is absolutely no WiFi! Again, the description is all lies, which claims that there is wifi in all rooms and public areas - total crap! Staff speak very little English and, although are nice, are unable to help with organising anything, so not sure how they can claim to be able to help with tours. Tried to use heater in room as it can get a bit cold but it didn't work. Just don't stay here!!!!

An amazing experience, but make sure to read”
My stay at Sagawar was legitimately one of the highlights of my entire trip. The hotel is nice and reasonably priced for the area, but the staff is amazing. The location is remote as another reviewer said, so you should think of this more like a homestay, living in a local area (but sleeping in a nice hotel). The owner's son drove me to his favorite restaurant and I feasted on a table full of excellent food for next to nothing. Then he took me to my train the next morning and, finding out that it was late, brought me a care package from his mom with goodies for the train. Then he took me to tea and insisted on paying! This is not for picky travelers but if you want a homestay type of experience while still getting your own nice hotel room this place is definitely for you.

Good for travellers who can speak Burmese”
Pros: staff tried really, really hard to help me. The location was quiet and green all around. Breakfast was nice and generous with 3 eggs. Cons: staff does not speak any English! Location is far from town, and not walkable. I had to pay about $3 for a motorcycle taxi into town to buy some food and return to the hotel. For foreign travels, I don't recommend this hotel. For local travellers and those who speak Burmese, and have some means of transportation, the family that owns it was very, very nice and tried very hard to be helpful.
