    Very good”

Hotel is very small. Swimming pool is very small almost for young children. No activities at night. At 7 pm nothing to do in the hotel and it is very dark. Even no soft music at night. I don’t understand how it is 4 star hotel.

Luxury hotel missing a certain something”

On arrival we were informed of a room change. This was because we were offered a room more in line with the hotel's features rather than our personal request. Also agoda failed to describe the rooms correctly. We agreed to the change but didn't get more from it other than easier access to the pool area. The outdoor pool itself was cold (in November) which seems strange given the solar radiation available and an ambient temperature of 28degC. The jacuzzi was warm and therefore more popular with the few guests. Especially as it is positioned immediately in front of the view over the mountainside terraces. The view is the best feature. I'm not sure why a luxury hotel would offer pommes frites with almost every choice at dinner. Otherwise the food was alright, if slightly on the expensive side for Oman. Good and varied breakfast. The staff were very friendly and tried hard to accomodate. Highlight was a massage as an extra by a very professional and competent therapist.

Great hotel - but with construction noises”

It was a very nice hotel but also very expensive. The pool is nice and the views are amazing! The only downside was construction works to both sides of the hotel so you hear noises all day from 7 am quite loud.

Great location, but needs some work on its offers”

I have been visiting the Sahab Hotel for a few years as it is one of very few places in Jebel Akhdar that has a restaurant. However, during this few years the menu has not changed at all, which is a pity. I like staying there because of its location, but it's time the place got a proper chef and stopped serving watered-down canned soup and frozen burgers. With a little bit of extra effort, and effort to show off local product, the place could really be the "got to place" in interior of Oman.

all is well, great views, and even nice treking (not as easy as it looks) BUT problem is getting there since is in the hills and only 4x4. The hotel has a service its expensice (50USD for a 30 km ride) so better of with your prearrange trasport or drive. In Oman is super easy

    Location confort and relaxing place.

We recommend this comfortable hotel. Clean with friendly staff. A place to relax. Location is excellent to discover the area. Lots of mosquitos at night take some repellent. Rooms with balcony are great. If you want just to use the hotel as base, the studios are good enough. We will be back!

    View, pool, staff

Went with two friends as part of a week long holiday in Oman. Good for two to three nights. Great access to local hikes for walking and to see the sites. No liquor license yet at this hotel - can take your own. Need a four wheel drive to get to it. Lovely view and pool. Staff helpful and friendly. Very relaxing.

very friendly and helpful hotel staff, view, rooms

Sahab Hotel is a lovely place to stay: good location to discover the Jebel Al Akhdar, very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms. We booked a balcony terrace room which was really worth the money. Even in full Summer the temperature allowed us to do some nice walks.

Definitely worth the journey from Muscat”

The view, location close to walks, the jacuzzi

We had a great weekend escaping the heat in Muscat. It was 27 degrees max so we enjoyed some local walks, saw the fruit growing on the terraces, abandoned and lived in villages and falaj systems in action. The hotel was good and we will stay there again. The pool was too cold for our toddler though, so we could only use the jacuzzi. The view from the pool is stunning. The dinner buffet was not on when we stayed but the menu was ok for a couple of nights. Breakfast had everything we wanted and our room was lovely and quiet.

    good hotel, amazing restaurant”

the hotel has amazing views over the roses terraces and mountains. There is heated outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi in a very nice garden. The rooms are quite basic, which can be expected for the price. The one thing to improve is cleanliness of the rooms and especially the bathrooms. However the restaurant will surprise you. Food is simple but amazing, the chef is the real master in his art. Having dinning in the neighbouring Anantara can sincerely say that the taste and flavour of dishes served in the Sabah hotel are much better not mentioning much cheaper. Much recommended.

Beautiful place, not quiet with construction ”

We loved the place, but were looking for a very quiet nature retreat and with the construction of more rooms or a new hotel right next to our room, the jackhammering during the day made it very disruptive to our stay. Would not have paid full price or staid here if had known about this. Good yoga classes and massages.

Great location, not worth the price”

The location is the big selling point for this hotel. When we got there we were charged more than what the Agoda confirmed price. I didn't realize this until afterwards since they presented the bill in Omani Rial. the amenities were very nice but the room was not thoroughly cleaned. It would be a great value for a price that would be $100 less than what we paid.

Nearly five Rates with 2 star services”

The hotel is at a great location, but for what you pay it is abusing its location. No assistance with luggage on arrival - no coffee machine for latte or else. Electric toaster toast only on one side. Limited food menu during stay most guest went to next door 5 star hotel. Attempted three times at breakfast to get eggs over easy eventually just gave up. It seems the menu mainly cater for Asian taste. Rather pay little more and stay next door without the frustrations

Fantastic location, poor service- go for the view only”

I was familiar with this hotel, having visited only for lunch several times in previous years. This was our first overnight stay, and we soon regretted it. The location is fantastic, and we were looking forward to having a terrace or balcony to be able to sit outside our room in cool fresh air. Firstly, check-in took an age, although our reservation was found quickly, passports copied, there was then much searching on the computer and back office consultation. At this level of hotel, if they are going to delay the gust like that, at least offer a water or juice. Anyway, we were upgrade to what they called the honeymoon suite, and escorted in the building to first floor room without balcony. We declined the upgrade, as we could sit inside an air conditioned room anywhere in Oman, that was not why we booked this hotel. Back to reception, more searching on their computer, and we were eventually offered room 203, an excellent room on the first floor (second floor to Americans) at the end of the row of outside rooms. This room had the best views from any in the hotel. Terrace wall is very low, with a risk of falling, and probably does not meet safety standards in many countries. On arrival the weather was changeable, sunny spells with thunderstorms, and occasional rain showers. Although this is a part of Oman which experiences significant rainfall, the hotel appears to possess no door mats. Every doorway, room and main building, had a towel on the floor. Dinner was bit of a challenge, waiters had to keep checking with the chef about what was not available. This is basic, know what is not available before entering the restaurant, in our case, no mushroom soup, and no ice cream. Only desert is crème caramel. No tea pots available for a pot of English tea. The food that we did have was good. At breakfast, the buffet was not restocked, scrambled egg was like a milk pudding, and I gave up trying to get a cup of tea. The worst problem, that on leaving our room t

Was alright we expected much more for the amour of money we paid. The room was clean and nice and the overall hotel is nice. However , the food is not good and we walked into the restaurant and looked at the buffet and struggled to get something to eat so we decided to go back to our room and of course no room service as kitchen closes at 9. The breakfast was not the greatest as well . We went to sit on the tables outside with coffee and after we left nothing was picked till the moment we checked out after 2pm. No body picks up the used beach towels from the sunbeds so. Apart from that we enjoyed the hot tub with the mountain view.
