Excellent sanctuary, so perfect they can not even be contacted by phone”

If you are looking for a retreat or getaway place in the middle of rice field and away from the circus of Kuta and other noisy touristic place then this is the perfect spot. Staff is generally polite and helpful but room cleanliness is not the best. When we checked in the floor was dusty and room was still full of mosquitos (the place was not even half occupied in the second week of August). What's really dissappointing was the total lack of attention when there was a critical problem to be solved: the check-in employee on duty forgot to return my ID card from the copy machine and I only realized this after having checked out and returned to Denpasar (about 3 hours away from the location). BEWARE: their phone nuimber as written on the Website can NOT be contacted and the staffs did not even bother to return my urgent e-mails requesting help due to the need to fly out of Denpasar the following day. So in short, if you happen to leave anything on their property then you are pretty much on your own, Luckily, I managed to send somebody nearby to find my ID Card at 9 PM (when they confirmed that it had been kept at their copy machine). Still no apology or even courtesy response to my emails. Total lack of client attention probably due to lack of supervision.

    Remote is an understatement”

oh soooo quiet - friendly helpful staff - rice paddies

The staff were lovely but there are not a lot of facilities for somewhere so remote. Tough 3km walk to the beach where you cant swim. To get to Seminyak or Ubud you are looking at 2 hours in a car each way (driver for the day is $70/day) so much of our long weekend was spent in the car. Our 2 bedroom villa with pool was split level with the 2nd bedroom entry outside next to the pool so we couldn't let our child sleep there on his own (he slept on the sofa each night). Pool location gets no sun so the water was icy icy icy - and there was no furniture by the pool to sit and relax.. Lastly no room phone (for room service); no bar area and just a limited restaurant menu!?! Enjoyable - but too remote for a family with lively (bored) children.

Not recommended, bad access to this hotel”

Quiet surroundings, nice view and have kitchen

Not recommended this hotel with very bad access to this hotel, need more than 2 hours to get there through the path, i cant imagine if we go there on night with no light and rainy, the hotel is the middle of nowhere about 25km from Tanah Lot, i just check in to this hotel than rest for 15 minutes and we decide to check out and back to the city for about 50 km, my holiday just ruined and wasting a lot of time for driving to get this hotel

    Impecable Service”

the staff, the the service and the beautiful scenic view

The staff was amazing during our stay. Not only were they attentive to our every need but had managed to act with extreme speed when we had an emergency and had to leave the hotel at 2 a.m to the airport. Inspite of the late hour, the Manager of the hotel had managed to not only get us transport out of the hotel (bearing in mind that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and the office was already closed), but had even opened up the office to enable us to print our tickets for our flight out. They had bent over backwards to help us when the same was necessary and we are very grateful for being there for us at our time of need. Aside from that the view is amazing and you can totaly just relax and pamper yourself without a care inthe world. its a small resort therefore you will be bothered with a heavy traffic of people. in short we totally loved our stay tin sahaja sawah. our only complain is that it was very very far out and the roads were very bumpy...owh and that the hotel is NOT in tanah Lot

    Great Villa”

Friendly staffs, nice swimming pool & great rooms

Greatest experience ever, staffs are friendly & attentive with warm smile, so thoughtful to provide with a welcome drink & cold towel upon our arrival. Although the road to reach this villa is quite bumpy, but all is worthwhile when you reach the villa. One thing not so good is there is neither air-con nor ceiling fan in the parlour, it would be even better if there is one.

Large pools, attentive staff, cheap massage”

the bathroom, large rooms, the private and common pool are beautiful. the meat bbq dinner was good.

the air conditioning for the villa 1st villa was not cooling, hence we requested for a change. the guy staff at the reception was very accomodating and brought us to the next villa to test the air conditioning before changing for us. He had a smile at all times and made us feel very comfortable with him. However, I feel the villa ceiling could be too high or the rooms too big, they need to use more powerful air conditioning or the rooms will not be cool enough.

    Awesome but tiring”

    Service , view and privacy

    1) Location - Most taxi drivers have no idea where this Villa is but will pretend to know. - From the Airport Taxi service , 200000 IDR but i am pretty sure the taxi driver wont know where it is and will take a lot longer - I would suggest liaising with the Villa to get their driver to pick you up, you will not regret it. ( You can speak to Josephine ) Airport Taxi took me 3 hours + from the airport to the Villa, and because of the distance, asked me for 200000IDR more. The fastest driver from the Villa takes about 1 and a 1/2 hour to 2 hrs to the airport ( depending on traffic ) Now you can have a rough idea of how far away it is It is about 2 hours away from the airport and that is if the driver knows the way. 2) Service - Overall service was great. - Driver was friendly, punctual and fast. - Service staff were always polite and smiling - Told what activities i wanted to do and she arranged all of them for me following my requirements including transport 3) Food - There is nothing nearby or even 30 minutes away so if its late, you would have to rely on instant noodles (self purchased) - Room service food was so so , if possible , eat out 4) Massage - Not worth it 5) Room - Huge and cosy but close all windows at night, there will be a lot of mosquitos. Bring some insect repellent or itch cream In all, service was great but location was way too far off from doing anything. A lot of time and money was wasted on traveling to and fro 6) Bathroom - Clean but the shower head pressure is very very strong, makes bathing a pretty painful process so you have to on the water very very small

Beautiful hotel, a little off the beaten track.”

    Serenity, the view, amazing place.

A little off the beaten track, the drive there was a little unsure with no road signs. Was all worth it when we finally arrived though. Amazing place, great views. Could see the fields and ocean at the front, and rice fields from the back. Our two bedroom villa came with a living and dining area, nice rooms with a balcony and comfortable sheets. Waking up to this view is something indeed.

This is a beautiful hotel for daytime use only. When the sun goes down, time to get going before the mosquitos-unknown bugs-snakes-frogs-spiders take over & leave you in A State of terror! Wife received a spider bite & is currently under antibiotics & a nasty scar under her arm.

A very relaxing villa with nice surroundings

This villa is amazing, although it is located far away from the city, but definitely worth it with nice view surrounded by paddy field. This is the most relaxing villa I ever stayed. The villa environment are clean and cozy, and the foods are nice! Also, I would wish to give the staffs a compliment about their helpful and friendly services.

    Excellent Resort”

    relaxing, comfortable, breath taking view

Among the 4 places we have stayed, Sahaja & Sawah Villa Retreat was the my favorite. We spend 4 days travelling around Bali before we reach this beautiful resort. I loved it so much that we even considered cancelling the rest of our trip and stay there until we had to go back to Oz. The staff was very friendly and the view was just simply breath taking. It offers a modern comfort right in the center of unspoiled country Bali. It is surrounded by rice terrace and you can see nothing else but the beautiful green and a little bit of ocean blue. As it is so far away from everything else, I suggest travelers to go all the places they want to visit first before they come to here.

    ultimate relaxation”

the room are big and the staff are really friendly

on the way to the location, i was doubting this hotel as it's located really far from what i imagine. arriving there, all of our doubt just flew away. the view are just beautiful and the staff are really friendly. first thing we arrived, we are being served with cold towel and fresh welcome drink which really refreshing, then are guided to check in process which are really fast and hassle free. The room are spacious and comfy, we don't really prepare much for the trip, and although it's really far from the city, almost everything we need are provided in the room.
