Well situated Hotel and Friendly Hotel Staff.”

This hotel was well situated and there were many restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and although being next to a main road they were also quiet. The receptionists were extremely helpful and tried their best to help you with booking taxis and for giving sightseeing advice or directions. You could exchange currency within the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing and there was a very limited choice. However, for the cost of the rooms what do you expect. There was a good choice of English TV. There was a massage parlour and Karaoke bar within the hotel which at night seemed to be busy with wealthy clientele from outside of the hotel. Overall, it was a fairly good hotel and fit for purpose. I probably would stay there again when I go back to HCMC.

    Dated hotel”

PROS: Discounted price on a holiday weekend. Staff were kind and accommodating to requests such as extra towels and silverware. Location is ok, short bike ride to downtown. CONS: Hotel is old and it shows in everything. No hot water, cold showers. Main stairs are under construction. Sink pipe leaked. Wifi is a, little slow. Location is noisey on a major road, not quiet at all and impossible to cross to park at many hours. Ask for a room on the back side to avoid some noise.

    Saigon Star Hotel”

    Good location near park
    No internet in room

We were happy with the Saigon Star Hotel and have booked another night before returning home. The location is good, being opposite a park it gives an opportunity for a relaxing walk away from the busy streets of Saigon. We chose this hotel because it had a balcony but the door was locked and we were unable to use it for 'safety reasons'. Staff were friendly and helpfull.

    restaurant a bit grim

Our booking was handled quickly and efficiently. We were given a room upgrade as there was a small problem with the keycard to our room. The room was a good size and nicely appointed and we were given a complimentary fruit platter. The service was first rate and the hotel very good value for money. The karaoke rooms on the second floor concerned us at first but in fact our room was very quiet. The room had free wireless internet and a good selection of cable TV channels. We would recommend this hotel to any business traveler or tourist.

    Spacious, brightly lit room. ”

    Good size windows, carpet floor

I never stayed at this hotel before, but I was rather pleasantly surprised as the room has large windows and the floor is carpeted with decent furnitures. The bed is sleepable, but is it old and a bit shunken. I also didnt have a good experience with the receptionist staff there. I was going out for a little bid and wanted to leave an envelope for a friend to come and pick it up while I was out, but they refused and told me that " it is not my responsibility and I am not in the business of mail delivery for you". It was very rude! Another problen of the hotel is the noise from the karaoke. The 2nd and 3rd floor rooms are for karaoke and they are not very good at sound proofing. The holidays are the worst as the local guests come here to sing until very late in the night. Through the hotel is conveniently located, it is face a very busy street and you can hear the constant honking from the driving by cars and motorcycles. The breakfast items are not very good. Even though there are "no smoking" signs, guests are free to smoke cigarettes and the staffs would ignore it! One final thing, the hotel is in front of a nice large park. You can do some jogging and get some excercise here, which is a wonderful rare find here. Have a wonderful stay in Saigon and bon voyage!

We came to the hotel at evening and we just planned to spend one night there. The room was comfortable and staff was helpful. Despite that our room was near the elevator, we didn't face problem with a noise. In front of hotel is Tao Dan Park and behind is the street Vo Van Tan with some decent restaurants. Through the park, one can reach Reunification Palace, Notre Dam Cathedral and Diamond Shopping Center by walk (20-30 minutes).

Needs a re do in public areas

This is quiet an old hotel, but the rooms are very comfortable in the old style. All rooms have windows. some are better than others. The breakfast is quiet acceptable. Great location opposite a big city park and not far from market and good restaurants. Better than the new glitzy hotels in Siagon that are much more expensive and are not run by anyone who has had anything do with the hospitality business staffed by people who are generally someones relative of the owners

    Nice hotel and good service”

    Completely facility
    Limited choice for breakfast

Location of hotel is strategic, near to go everywhere. Nice bed and bathroom, quite cleanliness. Nice services from people in there, very helpful and polite. It's really good if hotel can improve their breakfast menu, more choice to choose especially Chinese food.
