I came to Sairee Cottage Resort on the recommendation of farang (foreigner) friends who work in Koh Tao and said if they had family come to visit them they’d put them up at Sairee Cottage Resort. I got a great deal on the ground floor poolside room for a week. Covid has taken a huge hit on the local economy in Koh Tao, and many businesses and hotels are offering discounts to attract travelers. When I arrived the room was impeccably clean and very luxurious after a 10 day scuba liveaboard in a quad cabin. The resort has 2 pools, kayaks free to use, and use glass bottles in the rooms to reduce plastic waste on the island. There is no bathtub (fine by me!) and the shower is very nice. The poolside rooms are steps from the beach, and if you don’t mind swimming about 50-100m from shore there is a small reef with some fish you can snorkel. Keep an eye out for small local boats mooring but they seem used to looking out for people swimming at the shore. The staff is also very friendly and helpful! “F” helped me arrange a taxi from the pier to the hotel and cost 100 Baht. Thank you :)

Excellent place to spend you time on Koh Tao”
I've been staying at Sairee Cottage Resort for the last 3 nights and while I'm writing this review, I'm relaxing on their restaurant's terrace, enjoing a drink and watching the sunset. I'm staying in one of the beach bungalows and I can highly recommend to choose that option. What you get is a very nice traditional and clean wooden Bungalow that is equiped with everything you need (hot shower, aircon, towels, shampoo/body wash, fridge, daily room cleaning etc.). And the best thing and the actual reason why you should go for the beach bungalow is: you can relax in the hammock on your bungalow's terrace, sipping your favourite choice of Thai beer and watching the amazing sunset every day. Moveover, the service is great, if you have any problem (e.g. running out of body wash), you can let the receptionist know and they gonna fix it immediately. The restaurant offers authentic Thai (and western) food and is crowded every night, also with plenty of locals, which is a great sign.

Exceptional ”
We spent a week here learning how to dive and relaxing in the beautiful setting of koh Tao. The dive centre is fantastic! Our instructor James taught us how to dive over a 5 day course which started with learning the basics in the comfort of the pool. When we struggled with parts of it he took extra time to help us. By the end of the course we had completed 9 dives in the sea upto a depth of 30m, wreck dived, night dived and learnt how to take the equipment on and off underwater. It was a magnificent experience to see some of the magical life below the sea and we are very grateful for the tuition we were given. By the end of our week we were very dissapointed to leave. I'd advise maybe spend a week and half here if you can, so you can relax and enjoy as much of the chilled island vibe as possible as well as the majesty of the surrounding coral reefs.

Pool rooms are perfect”
The location couldn't be better - Sairee beach might be the main tourist center but that means it has all the conveniences and amenities. It's also a convenient hub for getting to any other part of the island. Sairee cottage is towards the center of the beach, in the quiet zone - we only heard a little bit of noise each night when the pub crawlers trawled past, but it only lasted 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was wonderfully clean and pristine - very comfortable to get back to after a long day's diving and snorkeling. If you don't stay here you'll be very jealous every time you walk past and see the dive center with the pool bar - craft beers, cuban cigars, and happy hour cocktails. The only minor gripes we had were that the hot water took a long time to arrive, which means you have to waste quite a lot of water. Also, the insanely long wifi login that you have to re-enter multiple times every day.

This place is a hidden gem. Located on the saireee beach yet the resort is like a small little town, no cars. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. At the same time surrounded by nice green gardens and nature. Very nice. The resorts restaurant is located at the beach a few meters from the water. This means amazing sunsets . The beach is also one of the most memorable we have yet seen. Not overcrowded at all. In addition to this i want to point out the amazing service provided by the lady at the reception. Great person that will arrange everything you need. Also the girls at the resorts cafe who gladly bring anything you need for your breakfast. Very happy and genuine. If we did not have to travel on we would stay a week extra.

Perfect location, perfect hostel”
Perfect location in the very center of Siri Beach Perfect accommodation We have been here 20 days. It was a great place for two kids, six years old. We had many problems during our stay. But every time, the staff did their best to help us. I want to thank my employees for their generosity. I advise you not to use the ATM next to the resort The machine breaks down frequently, causing a very difficult problem For 20 days the room was always clean and the sea was perfect. The sunset was as beautiful as the picture. The two pools were perfect for our children When I return to Korea, I will miss this place a lot.

Excellent resort with an outstanding dive centre”
This was our second time to stay at Sairee Cottages and we booked the standard bungalow which was lovely. Really comfy bed, tea and coffee, super clean and good shower. I like the little touches like the complimentary umbrellas. The staff are so genuinely friendly and efficient too. The Sairee Cottage Dive Centre gave us an outstanding dive experience. We had a super adventure and I felt that my son (12 years) and I were supported so well by our instructor Aey. All round a really great experience. I enjoyed spending evenings in the resort's lovely beach restaurant where the sunset views are often amazing. The food is Thai and western-good quality and reasonably priced. Go here, its really good.

Third time at Sairee Cottage!”
First and foremost, the staff are wonderful! Friendly, happy and always up for a laugh, they accommodate every need with a smile, unlike some hotels on the island. The rooms are spacious, always clean and if anything doesn't work the staff always fix it in a flash! No breakfast is provided but the rooms are so cheap (for what you get) and there are plenty of amazing breakfast spots nearby. The pool area is luxurious, clean and relaxing and the location is perfect, close to everything you need but not in the middle of the music and party vibes just to the north. If I go back to Koh Tao for the 4th time I'd 100% stay with Sairee Cottage again!

We loved our little cottage! We had a garden view a/c cottage and it was perfect! The room was clean, the shower was great and the beds comfortable. We loved the access to the two pools while also being a 1 min walk to the main beach. nightlife is great and the entire island is quite clean compared to the rest of Thailand. The staff were helpful too. The only annoying thing was having to give them your passport or 2,000 baht deposit, but we had no problem getting it back at the end so it was fine. Great stay, would 100% stay here again ”
We stayed in the standard bungalow with a fan. Perfect little size and a terrace out front to chill. The fan was enough, AC wasn’t needed. Amazing service from the staff, everyone is friendly from bottom to top of the chain. 1 amazing and big pool, frequented by a lot of aspiring divers doing their PADI but even with them there it didn’t seem crowded and if you felt that way their second pool was also nice and pretty quiet. The place is right on Sairee Beach so everything is in walking distance from bars and restaurants to 7 elevens to motorbike rental. Their own restaurant also seemed pretty lively every evening too. Yes you could hear music from nearby bars at night but not so loud it would disturb you. They will pick you up from the ferry on your arrival and will also bring you back if your ferry fits around their 3 departure times (8.30/9.30/2). Very fast and stable WiFi too. Honestly can’t think of anything negative.

Best stay in Thailand ”
Koh Toa in itself is the most beautiful place I've ever been, and Sairee cottage made our stay there even better. The location was amazing, the little bungalow was a 1 minute walk away from the beach, which was super clean! And even though we didn't have hot water in the shower it really didn't bother us, the fact it's so cheap you just can't complain. The bungalow itself was so cute and cosy, with all the amazing trees and plants surroundeing it, it really was like a little taste of paradise! Would recommend for everyone!

Everything is fantastic at this place!!! Location is amazing,bungalows are perfect,its like a dream.We really love our bungalow in the middle of the garden,quiet and clean.No big luxurys but perfect!! The pool bar is great and stunning place to hace beer or breakfast at the restaurant. Girls at the reception are really amazing,they help us with everything!!!! Renting motorbike,extending our staying,they arranged pick up from Pier and on the last day. Thank youuuuuuu to everyone!!!!! We love this place!!!!

Our favorite place on our month long trip!”
This was our favorite stay out of our month trip in Thailand! We even booked a open water diving course with the cottage and it was amazing! We got picked up by their drivers from the pier and not once did we have to carry our luggage to the room. They did it all for you. It was perfect after getting sea sick from the boat ride to Koh Tao. Everyone was so nice, loving, and super helpful! We stayed in the garden view room. We loved having a hot shower to come back to after diving in the ocean after a long day of scuba diving training. It was nice and quiet at night so very easy to get good sleep. We will be back! I recommend staying here in a room with hot shower if that’s something you care about.

Koh Tao has a piece of my heart ”
Out of everywhere we stayed in Thailand I loved Koh Tao the most. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow and my older teens had a family bungalow. My mom had a little bungalow further back on the property. I loved everything about the resort. It was super convenient. I loved waking up and sitting on my wrap around porch listening to the waves 5 meters away. The water out front was the perfect temperature and we would just float in it for hours. There is a fruit shake stand 60 m from where we stayed and we ate 3 meals at the restaurant Coffee Boat which is right down the path from the resort. It’s ridiculously cheap and delicious. The portions are huge. We even took take away containers to eat on the ferry. You can’t go wrong with Sairee Cottage!

Close to everything”
With in easy walking access to everything you could possibly think of....I hired a scooter from shop nearby but hardly used it. This place is right on the beach...not big waves but great for swimming, this place also has pool with a bar with heaps of other bars and places to eat on short walk. I was traveling by myself and am not allowed to dive because of asthma but there are lots of diving options and classes nearby... Hotel room was great...it is more of a glam eco wooden hut under the shade of many trees. Room has aircon and with hotel focusing environment so if I was to be picky the shower water pressure was on the low side. At night the bugs come out so take some spray but I think that is now common through out all of the islands...same same on Samui & Koh Pang Yang or they just follow my white skin. Would definitely come back.

I loved the resort. The houses were simple, but clean and comfortable. All the huts were in a beautiful garden and it made staying there really nice. I loved the swimming pools. It was quiet in the huts, but at the same time close to anything one might need. A few minutes walk to the village with all the shops and restaurants one might need. I recommend the place!

The hotel's taxi driver was waiting for me with a big smile. My stay was so relaxing and confortable. Every day day my room was cleaned and received water, coffe and tea. The hotel is whithin walking distance to the beach and both the bar and the restaurant offer delicious food. The reception staff are adorable and always ready to help. Would love to come back

Couldn't say a single negative thing about the Sairee Cottage Resort! Everything was clean and cozy, the location was great (not too loud but still very central) and everyone was really nice. I forgot my sunglasses there, the customer service replied within minutes and they sent it to my next location for me. Stayed at to other places on Koh Tao and this was by far the best!

Second amazing stay at Sairee cottage! ”
Sairee Cottage is one of the best locations to stay on Koh Tao - close to all food/ bars. The room has everything needed for a short stay. It gets cleaned when you put the ‘clean’ sign outside the room. Staff are friendly and the pool areas are lovely! I recommend diving with their dive shop and watching sunset from their restaurant!

I just love sairee cottage. It’s well located just in the center of walking street and right next to the beach. So you have easy access to the ocean, a huge variety of restaurants and nightlife of course too! It has 2 pools whereas one is more quiet and great for couples who seek some relax time or families and a second one which is used for diving practice but also has a nice pool bar where you can get your party started of you’d to. Right next to the quiet pool is a lovely coffee shop and across the street you’ll find their restaurants which offers pizza and really good thai food, also has happy hour for delicious and Chaaang! I will definitely come back!
