Excellent Location, Food, Staffs ...”
The room is very spacious and equipped with sofas and there is a balcony in your room. There is welcome drink and you can even take out, you can even order their alcoholic drinks for free. The buffet breakfast is so luxury and the food is very delicious. I can't forget the good taste of the fried chicken, omelette, sausages, smoothies, fruit juice... The staffs in this hotel are very friendly and all can converse in English very well. This hotel is near to the Kyoto Station for all kinds of trains, shinkansen, JR lines, buses to all tourist spots. The design of the lobby is very modern, it is opened space. EXCELLENT !! We enjoyed our stay in Sakura Terrace The Gallery every night !! The mattress is so comfy, each single bed is provided with two pillows. I miss you, Sakura Terrace The Gallery !!
goos location, good hotel definitely ”
the hotel is near to the kyoto station (3-5minutes walking) the room was indeed bigger compared to the general standard of rooms in japan, there are clean and nice amenities and facilities the Gallery can keep your luggage even after you've check out until your next train out at 10pm, the staff are fluent in english be alert: do not mistakenly booked or stopped at the Sakura Terrace Hotel, instead of Sakura Terrace THE GALLERY, which is about 15minutes walk in distance from each other and further from the main train station in short, definitely will recommend and check in again next time in kyoto
Excellent experience, will definitely come back again ”
There is free welcome drink every day after 5.30pm, so we could sit at restaurant drinking while enjoying live music. Facilities are great, especially public bath that could relax our body after whole day walk. Lounge that always have hot and cold drink, laundry and gym. Location is excellent, near Kyoto station yet quiet at night. Our room is spacious and have sofa to watch tv before sleep. Staff speak English well, can communicate easily. Sometimes will be able to hear the noise from next door or room above us, probably because of the wooden floor? However still consider quiet and able to sleep well for light sleeper like me. Overall, we enjoyed our stays at Sakura Terrace The Gallery, will come again when we visit kyoto again
Excellent place to stay in Kyoto”
We stayed 2 nites in Sakura Terrace The Gallery. Very easy to locate , only 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station in the opposite direction from Kyoto Tower. Very clean and comfortable - big room, big bathroom, balcony, 3-seater sofa in-room, complimentary welcome drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices) every evening, sumptuous breakfast comprising wide range of Japanese and western items, freshly grounded coffee (4 selections), fragrant tea selections, onsen (but not natural spring water), complimentary self-laundrette, gym and lounge. Very helpful and cheerful staff.
Fantastic Location, Spacious Room, Extraordinary Experience”
We stayed at the Sakura Terrace the Gallery for 5 wonderful nights. Everything from the very convenient (4 minute walk from JR Kyoto Station) location to the nightly complimentary welcome drink was absolutely fantastic. The room was spacious by Japanese standards. The ambiance of the courtyard with fireplaces was charming. Perhaps the most surprising and best part of our whole stay was the on premise restaurant which had great menu items such as Wagyu Beef at only 1000 Yen - we dined here several times and enjoyed the live music. Definitely worth consideration.
Modern hotel near Kyoto Station”
Enjoyed our stay here! The hotel also gave us a free upgrade of room in the North Wing for our first night and allowed us to store our luggage for one night when we traveled out before we returned for another 3 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a free welcome drink every evening which was great! The public bath facility was quite nice except that most users were tourists who didn't follow the onsen etiquette. Will be glad to return to Sakura Terrace The Gallery when I come back to Kyoto.
A Hidden Gem”
Sakura Terrace The Gallery is footsteps away from the Kyoto train station. What sets this apart from other places is several things, the rooms are larger than the standard small Japanese rooms, you have a free coffee service in the morning-your favorite coffee shop drinks made by machine free of charge, you get one free alcoholic or non alcoholic drink in the evening and the bathhouse is spacious. I wish the bathhouse were open over night as some other hotels but that is a small quibble.
Highly recommend hotel when you stay in Kyoto”
i stayed at Sakura Terrence The Gallery 2 nights when I was in Kyoto. Location is really good for travelers because you only need to walk 3-5 mins to reach Kyoto Station and 5-8 mins to reach the main bus station which located at the opposite side of Kyoto Station. Hotel's environment is nice. Rooms are spacious. They provide a welcome drink each night which you can enjoy it at the bar. Restaurant also provide brilliant music show as well. However, perhaps the staffs are new, the process at front desk seems a bit slow. My experience was, 3-4 staffs serving 1 group of 4 people who were standing in front of the front desk, just checking their map and smartphone and tried to search somewhere to visit. Every staffs were kept waiting and see if they have any questions. And I waited around 10 mins for check-in. Same case happened when I went to the front desk double check the bus to scenic spot afterwards. Overall, if the staffs at front desk can speed up the process and shorten the waiting time, it will be perfect.
Wonderful stay. Location 10/10: only 2 mins walk from Kyoto station. Cleanliness 10/10: room is excellent clean, bathroom is clean and amenities are fully provided. Bathhouse 10/10: convenient bathhouse located in South Wing, we enjoyed it very much. Staff 10/10: front desk staff are polite and welcoming. Staff at bar( free drink every night) are nice and smiley. Facilities: excellent facilities - provided a comfortable stay for us. Value for money: definitely 10/10 :). Thanks very much Sakura Terrace Gallery Hotel. We will come back.
We stayed in Kyoto at the Sakura Terrace the Gallery for 4 nights. The location is an easy 5 minute walk to Kyoto train station which made it convenient to catch the train to other locations. However, the location is also on the quieter side of the train station, so it was further away from the entertainment districts of Kyoto where the restaurants and pubs were. We enjoyed the welcome drink and beverage bar, and live music. The hotel seems new and we liked the modern style. However the superior double room we had was very small, akin to a cabin on a cruise ship. I would recommend The Sakura Terrace Gallery hotel if you plan on traveling through Kyoto station and want a clean, convenient and well-staffed hotel nearby.
Had a great night in kyoto Sakura Terrace the Gallery hotel.. The hotel room is very comfortable and we simply love the open concept of the lobby.. Small gesture such as providing blanket for guests are provided.. also, there is free public bath.. too bad that we only stayed here for 1 night! Will want to come back again!!
You would not want to miss this!”
It was awesome! Regardless to mention the great location which just next to Kyoto Train Station (which all the city buses/outstation buses), the hotel condition & hygiene condition are really 5-star-standard. It really value for the money we pay for it! Will definitely choose Sakura Terrace The Gallery again for my next visit!!
The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxing and the location is near to Kyoto Station. ”
The staff of Sakura Terrace The Gallery are impressive. I will especially like to thanks Ms Kana Narabayashi and Ms Michiko Yamada for their assistance in helping me to locate my lost items. They have made my trip a smooth one though I am unable to converse in Japanese. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Kyoto!
What a comfortable stay!”
It was my first time in tourist packed Kyoto and Sakura Terrace is one of the comforting aspects of the trip. Love the hotel's concept of being a decent 4 star hotel and topping it up with bnb facilities like lounge, welcome drinks, and laundry services. The location is also very close to Kyoto station. Its a perfect place to explore all of Kyoto since most buses start the journey in Kyoto. Very easy to find esp for first time travellers like myself.
Very Good Experience”
I found this Hotel very clean, modern and with good facilities. I suggest that you ask for a north facing room. The hotel is just minutes from Kyoto station and well located in the middle of many sights. Bus and taxis are all well within the vicinity. The staff can speak both Japanese and English and are all very welcoming. The welcome drink each night is very appreciative. I also suggest venture out of the hotel as they are a range of Japanese food places.. All you can drink coffee and hot beverage is also something we found helped. The public bath is a bit small but very well maintain and clean. The gallery, restaurant and all other facilities are very good and the hotel as whole is quite good for a 3 star rating. I will definitely recommended other people to stay here if they visit Kyoto. Prices of the vary but I suggest looking at various sites to get the best deal.
Awesome stay ”
I’m so glad that I managed to book the Sakura gallery terrace! Among so many other hotel stay, this is one of the best and the room space is big as compared to other hotels in Japan! The location is good which is a stone throw away from Kyoto station. There’s a free drink every day at the bar which is a bonus! Would definitely stay there again! Thanks!
Superb onsen hotel in a quiet spot in central Kyoto ”
We had a very pleasant and relax stay at Sakura Gallery, which is 5mins walk to Kyoto JR station and also 5mins to another subway. It’s however very quiet and staff are always helpful. The room was quite big with private balcony. There’s also onsen/ public bath for guests with gym. Within the neighbourhood there are local restaurants and 24hr stores that it’s very convenient. We would definitely recommend this in Kyoto!
Modern, Trendy Hotel right by Train”
Loved our stay at Sakura Terrace. - Very clean - Incredible breakfast buffet - Free coffee, tea, and water throughout the day - Great Onsen - One free drink per night - Right by train station + walkable to many areas of Kyoto - Room was fairly small, but that's too be expected. But it did have a balcony, which was nice Highly recommend for Kyoto!
Sakura Terrace The Gallery”
Very close to Kyoto rail station and therefore very convenient for doing day trips. Very new facility (both cab drivers unfamiliar with it) that my teenager and 20 year old loved. Free drink every evening, comfortable beds, and nice staff. Beware that they will charge you 3000 yen if you stay beyond 11 a.m. checkout time and there is a separate hotel nearby that is called The Sakura Terrace.
Convenient Location near the Kyoto Station”
Sakura Terrace, just 2 blocks behind the Ibis Styles Hotel is very near Kyoto Station about 200 metres away. Free coffee and tea are provided at the hotel Lobby and Cafe throughout the day. Complimentary cocktail (welcome drinks) is available in every evening. The hotel room in Japanese standard is spacious with a small terrace. Access to the hotel public hot bath is also free. Overall speaking, I enjoyed staying with this hotel as regards its location, price, service and facilities.
