good location at the center of the city ”
Positive points It is very well located at the center of Ayutthaya, so it is easy to travel around. The building is also well designed (I believed that they received an award for the building), if you love taking photo, you will especially enjoy staying here. In addition, the hotel is very clean and the staffs are friendly and quite responsive. Points which can be improved 1. the standard amenities - On our first night there were no some standard amenities such as toothbrush and cotton brush, so we had to call and requested for them. 2. many visits by the house keeper - In addition to the normal cleaning service, the house keeper has visited our room many times during our stays when we were out started from a few hours after we just checked in. I wasn't sure if this was how the service supposed to be but compared to my past experience with other hotels, I personally think it was too often for me.
Loved this hotel - the location on the river, the neat layout of the room, and the proximity to the starting line of the race we were doing in Ayuttaya was fantastic. Unfortunately the wat across the river was under construction during our stay there so the view was a bit marred, but it was through no fault of the hotel.
Nice place for hideaway”
Hotel accommodation and staff are very good. However; food menu is not variety and not value for money. I had both dinner and breakfast. Food is very bland.
Awesome ancient town and nice hotel.”
So many thing to look at in the ayutthaya. After the hot and tired whole day visit, Sala ayutthaya is the best choice to stay.
1000THB for extra bed... it's like a dog bed. Location far away from all Ayutthaya attractions. ”
My time in the swimming pool was interrupted by Chinese tourist trespassing to take pictures. The staff doesn't enforce the "No Non-Guest Allowed". Also, this hotel should rent bicycles. It doesn't. You have to hire a tuk-tuk (200THB/hour) to get around the town. The hotel is next to a dangerous road of crisscrossing speeding traffic. Keep your kids close and your head on a swivel!!
Fabulous one night stay with family group, excellent Thai dinner, beautiful setting”
We celebrated a birthday, stayed one night, with dinner at the hotel. Restaurant staff helped prepare the Thai menu, perfectly suited to all our different tastes and ages. Service was excellent with the right amount of time between courses. Wine list was very good too. The restaurant setting is lovely for dinner and breakfast, watching the river “traffic”. Rooms are also very pleasant, spacious with great baths! A nice small pool in quiet setting, excellent architectural design. Would definitely go back.
Cozy hotel well design good for group travellers all the room can be connected upon request ”
Cozy hotel well design good for group travellers all the room can be connected upon request . The normal check in time is quite late 16.00 but we were lucky to get our room around 14.45 We love the huge bath tub
In the heart of Ayutthayha”
WE arrived well after dark and thought we were in a warehouse. But inside there is a beautiful place to stay. We had river room overlooking the old city and the river. The restaurant is on a lovely patio right on the river.
A little expensive for Thailand but a lovely and interesting hotel, especially if you have a river view room looking across to the historical ruins which are beautifully lit at night. The dining terrace has the same lovely view, very romantic. We have had better food in Thailand but this was the most magical setting I have ever had dinner. Our river view room was modern and very luxurious. We were only there for one night and didn't have time to use the pool and spa, but it looked lovely. Welcoming and helful staff. We would definitely return.
We lived in the duplex which had two floors. The price was of course a little high. But the quality and staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. It was located good. Worth living in once.
Awesome room/ bathroom / tub ”
Very comfortable stay ... I do recommend this hotel
Super clean place, nice breakfast selection. Ayutthaya temple & river view was so perfect
Quality and Location ”
This was our second visit to this excellent hotel The hotel is set on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, which was in full flood on this visit, as a consequence of the recent heavy rain, and is directly opposite the wonderful old temple, Wat Phutthaisawan. The hotel is not cheap by Thai standards, but still represents good value because of its excellence.
Nice river view”
Overall of the property are nice. In term of decoration, facilities and of course with stunning river view. I love it. Only one thing that's the breakfast is not many choice and just small portion ..
Fantastic Place, but not kid-friendly”
I absolutely love Sala Ayuthaya. The architecture, the interiors, the view is breathtaking, the food delicious, the staff is friendly. The only drawback for us was that we have small children (ages 5-9 years old) and they got some scrapes from swimming in the pool (which was a beautifully designed plunge pool which unfortunately had sharp edges). There were also spiral stairs that were not the easiest to climb. But overall - fantastic.
. modern asian hotel”
the place offers unique contemporary style appeal. modern white feel all throughout the hotel. will be best if they have a bigger pool amenity. the place is superb and cozy. would love to come back if they have special rates.
Super Chic place to stay”
The design of the hotel itself is so chic. The view of old temple from the window of our room is beautiful. We had a relaxing time there. Breakfast was excellent. Location is convenient to go around Ayuttaya. There is a park nearby to go running in the morning and the hotel provide free bicycle rental for the guest too.
Get Away ”
This was a very nice boutique hotel. Staff very nice, the room was clean and lovely. I booked the Deluxe River View Terrace, highly recommend to request for Room No. 8 or 10 because it gives you the best view of the river and temple. The room itself is very spacious, classy decorated. The screen TV could had been bigger for that size of the room, breakfast wasn't really great and menu list limited items offered. Downside of this hotel is that their standard check-in time is at 4pm! You can make a special request for earlier check-in but that is only subject to availability where you will find out on your day of arrival. International check-in time is usually at 2pm. I wasn't really pleased :( Their pool is so tiny that only gold fishes could swim in it. Even though it looks very fancy. The hotel is rating themselves at 4.5 star but don't have a gym facility. Parking is available but very small, fight for a space. If your looking for a relaxing weekend and relaxing stay, this the location :)
What more can I ask for?”
This is just a perfect hotel. Really!! I stayed at duplex, the room embodies an old tree through 2 floors, which is magnificent, feeling a bit surreal.. To mention about the unbelievable view of the river is a waste of time :) There was nothing me and my friends did not like except the price.!
