From the moment I stepped through the door, I fell in love with the hotel. Walkways of stone and wood threaded through a bamboo and tropical plant rainforest to the check-in desk and tiny lobby surrounded by a Koi pond. Past the cafe are the spa and less than a dozen rooms on two levels surrounding a beautiful deep-blue-tiled swimming pool - petit, but certainly adequate for a refreshing swim. My room was located on the second floor overlooking the pool. The stairway to second level will be a challenge to some, because it is the traditional open-plank, steep steps, closer to a ladder than stairs. The upstairs rainforest theme continues with plants in bottles and jars covering the corridor railing from top to bottom. The air conditioning of my room was a welcome respite from the tropical heat outside. The bathroom floor was comprised of planks spaced with a 1/4inch gap between each plank, imitating traditional homes with such floors that allow air to circulate. I immediately liked this idea, especially the rainshower located in one corner, designed for the water to drain between the slats. Unfortunately, the shower had only cold water. The bathtub, however, had plenty of hot water. There was a 32-inch tv that I never bothered to use, since I was busy seeing the sites of the Angkor temples. One unique feature of this little hotel is the gentle animals that are apparently hotel pets. In addition to two very fat white bunnies, some fat pigeons and guinea hens, the menagerie was ruled by a huge young gray heron. They all visited the rainforest around the cafe regularly. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I felt very well cared for. I had a relaxing massage at their in-house spa. Although 4 stars is usually associated with a large hotel, the service, professionalism, and amenities of air conditioned rooms, laundry service, in-room drink fridge and coffee service, 32” flat-screen tv, and free wifi qualify this little gem for a 4-star rating.

The best hotel experience I've ever had; spent 4 night at the hotel. The staff are well trained to go the extra mile just to make your stay a pleasant and memorable one. Every single one of them will stop and greet you, and ask about your day. Every time you return to the hotel, they offer cold wet towels and cold and refreshing tea with tinge of lemon grass for the guest to freshen up. The rooms are made twice a day. They even leave good night messages with chocolate biscuits for supper. The list goes on, but here's a few positive points: - Free airport transfer - Free upgrade to Junior Suite - Breakfast was was hearty and filling; - Clean and spacious room - free Tuk-tuk rides to town every day between 5-7pm. Overall, 4 star hotel with a 5 star service!

My mother and I booked the Sala Lodges based on the great reviews it has received. Looking back on our stay I must say that this was the best hotel I have stayed at in a long time! The location is not in the center, but close enough to go into town easily with a tuk tuk. We enjoyed coming back to this peaceful "Khmer heaven" after our daily visits to Angkors temples. Adrien and his wonderful staff created a truly unique hotel experience with the beautifully designed Khmer houses that each guest stays in. There is so much love for detail and thoughtfulness in the design of the hotel space and the rooms that we instantly felt at home. Breakfast and all the food they serve (we had dinner there 3 nights in a row) is absolutely delicious and very reasonably prices. The staff is amazingly friendly, forthcoming and helpful, making our stay even better. I could go on and on raving about Sala Lodges, but my best advise is to go see and experience for yourself!

Siem Reap was one of the stops in my south east Asia travels and I can say this hotel was the best "4star" hotel I've stayed in out of the other hotels (Singapore, Vietnam, Beijing). I should have known not to expect US "4 stars" standards in esp third world countries; the "4 stars" hotels in Vietnam and even Singapore smelled like mold and/or urine or something nasty... (didn't get to Beijing yet), but not chronicle Angkor hotel in siem Reap! It was clean and comfortable and I can confidently say it is a "3.5-4 star" hotel as far as US standards go. It did not smell anything weird or foul. But the best part was the service. The hotel staff were so friendly, professional, and worked so far to make us comfortable. Most staff speaks minimum English and one of the staff members (Bale) spoke excellent English. They also helped us book Tuk tuk rides for the day to explore Angkor wat temples and it was reasonable ($15-20/day). I highly recommend this hotel..The location is good as well

Friendly staff. Upgraded upon arrival. Massive rooms and bathroom. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice pool. Small quaint hotel so didn't see many other guests. Location is off a side street; 10min walk to pub steeet & night markets or a $2 tuk tuk ride - enough to be away to not hear the noise but close enough to be accessible to the busy/popular spots. Food is the best we ate in Cambodia; very surprised. Organization second to none; they arranged all our trips/tours/guides, and even provided a free airport pickup. Price of this hotel does not reflect its worth; they could easily charge double the amount. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others.

This hotel appeals to us because it looks exclusive. Small boutique hotel that doesn't make you it's feel short of standards. Went ahead to book it. Was disappointed and furious when we touched down Siem Reap Airport because I couldn't seem to find the free appointed driver that was suppose to pick us up to the hotel. After 15 minutes of looking and asking, we decided to just take, the obvious tourist exploitation service, airport tuk tuk instead(USD$9 + $3 for hotels outside of town, mine was 5 mins walk away from town, had to pay anyway) Upon arrival to the hotel, the experience changed and it started getting from bad to good and good to great within seconds. The friendliness from the staff was overwhelming. Hotel staff greets you with big smiles on their faces, extremely apologetic for the missing driver and offered to reimburse our taxi fare or a free ride back to the airport. I chose the latter for convenience sake. The other things are self explanatory. It is located not more than a 5-7 mins walk to Siem Reap Markets(Downtown); Night Market, Pub Street, Old Market, Art Market. But just tucked away far enough to be away from the busy streets. Hotel food might just be the best you'd be able to find if you dine within the low to mid range options. Other services includes free tuk tuk to their downtown and discounted return rides between 6pm - 9pm. Small quiet pool. In conclusion, this young hotel is small and exclusive but it makes you feel nothing short of grand and luxurious. The only down side would be the massage. It's not exactly good in my opinion. But its just my two cents, other hotel guest find them just as good as any branded spa out there.

I am a frequent traveler and have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the past decade. Vilada Angkor is by far the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. This is a small boutique hotel with only 10-15 rooms and a small swimming pool. It is not a large, palatial hotel. However, it has the best service of any hotel I have ever visited. The staff are always on hand to help you and do anything to make your stay enjoyable. They always smile and treat you like a close friend - not just like a customer. Never before have I felt so welcomed by a hotel's service team. The hotel rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms beautifully designed and the rooms kept very nice and clean. The Wi-Fi is reasonably fast but occasionally drops, which is to be expected in Cambodia. I recommend the suite rooms on the second floor, which each have a small balcony and large work desk. The cheaper rooms downstairs are also good but not quite as luxurious. This is a small hotel and the atmosphere feels as if you're staying at a friend's villa or holiday home. The pool area is perfect for relaxing with a good book, and the hotel's small restaurant area is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or cocktail. The only small downside of this hotel is its location. It's slightly outside the Siem Reap center, so if you're looking for a hotel that's a short walk from the city's nightlife, this is not it. On average, it takes 5-10 minutes to reach the hotel by tuk-tuk at a cost of $2. The city government is currently in the process of upgrading the road to the hotel, which will make the location less of an issue in the future. In some ways, the location is a positive thing because it means the hotel is very quiet and peaceful. I HIGHLY recommend you stay here when visiting Siem Reap. If you love small boutique hotels where the staff treat you like a family member or old friend, this is the place to stay.

Regretted for my short time at here, that was an amazing place with a building structure and locality of art. They upgraded me to a suite room with nice view and comfortable room. The bed and barthroom was very big and clean with a fully set up amenities. Every things they provided like a house. The staffs also friendly they always smile and warmly welcome with soft drinks all time while back from outside. The big space for relax at lobby and swimming pool. I am strongly recommend this hotel residence to all travelers to this heritage side. I Hoped to return here soon.

Panha Tit, the manager of the hotel, has made us feel very welcome from the start of our stay, right until our check out. His English is excellent, naturally kind and genuinely interested in his customers. He helped us book a number of trips at no extra cost and dealt with our last minute cancellations without any hint of bother. The staff at the pool bar are also great and make the best pinacolada I've had in South East Asia! The food by the pool is good too :) We booked our room less than half an hour before our arrival. When we turned up we were upgraded to a deluxe room no 306, which was serviced on daily basis. There are only 27 rooms, which ensures a nice and cosy feel. The hotel is less than 2km away from the city centre, only a short ride by one of the tuk tuks waiting outside, which are sometimes complimentary. The spa is a bonus too. The hotel has recently changed ownership and it looks like its staff are doing their absolute best to make their mark in Siem Reap! We initially booked for 2 nights and ended up staying here over a week as we liked it so much!

We had nothing but the best experience from this establishment. I think a perfect 10 is not enough. They are the best in all aspects: Cleanliness, customer service, location, design, food....everything. I can never thank them for making our stay in Siem Reap a wonderful one. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it everyone who wants only the best in Siem Reap. Here you are getting the best service at a fraction of the price when you check in to more expensive hotels. I cant tell you all how great this place is. I love this place and the staff... SIMPLY THE BEST... NO OTHER HOTEL COMPARES!!!!

The Mango Angkor Boutique is a beautiful modern Hotel in wonderful topical surroundings, yet only minutes away from the life and entertainment of Pub street, shops and markets, the hotel staff speak English and the Hotel Manager fluent in English, he and his team all patient kind and prompt with any information required, the rooms are quility well maintained and spotlessly clean, the very large swimming pool is fantastic, clean and well equipped with new quility sun loungers, free pool towels also provided, the breakfast is outstanding and the restaurant offers a wide range of choice, all trips can be arranged at excellent prices with no hidden extras, it may appear cheap to visit Angkor Wat with independent agent then the ad ons start, best book with hotel from my experience, I have visited Siem reap for 7 years twice a year, I can say the service, the hotel staff and the facilities rank very high and can't wait to tell my friends about this hidden Gem

The service in this hotel is one of the best, even better than a 5 star hotel! I was very surprise how great this hotel is. The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly and asked about our day. After visiting Temples they gave us cold towels and always greeted us. Even if some staff were in the kitchen, they also walked out to greet us and always smiling. They also offered to pack our breakfast so we can catch sunrise at Angkor Wat. I only stayed here for 4 nights and went to another hotel because of advance booking. However I really regret not staying at residence 101 throughout my whole 7 nights stay at Siem reap. Will definitely come back and stay at the residence 101 again when I'm back in Siem reap. Thank you very much to the staff of residence 101.

We stayed almost a week in Mango Rain and we have to say that we were sad when we left. At the very beginning we were worried about the distance from the centre, but in the end, it was only 3 minutes away with a took-tuk and on top the hotel has its took-tuk service which cost you only $1 per way. Our room was big and very comfortable with a small balcony. We are digital traveler and so the power of the internet connection is important to us. So far the mango rain is the hotel that has the best connection in every hotel we did in Cambodia! It’s a big plus! The food was great, we had breakfast there every morning and also ate dinner a few times and nothing to complain about. Now the best part, the STAFF! They are all so friendly and watch your every move in order to make sure you don’t need anything, they are always on top of it. If you want something refreshing at the pool they will bring it to you, if you have any problem of any sort they will help you and fix it! Now last but not least our favourite was the Receptionist/Guest relation ZAM! This young man was really really good, extremely friendly and very professional, he helped us with the different places we wanted to go to in Siem Reap and also arranged a tuk-tuk for us at any time when we wanted to come back to the hotel! This man found his vocation and his big heart made us feel almost like at home! Thanks to all of you and we highly recommend this hotel!

We loved our short visit to Siem Reap and stay here at Angkor Angel Boutique Villa throughout our 5 days. Need not pre-book any tour package before arriving as hotel offers very competitive packages. We had prebooked 2 AngkorWat tour packages with Klook on Tuktuk and one fishing village tour package with the hotel by car, which we enjoyed more (as it rained during the period of our visit). The hotel restaurant served tasty food and the room was large, clean and well-maintained. Nice pool and view within the hotel grounds, away from the dusty, crowded streets.

We stayed at Tan Sour resort during our trip to Siem Reap and we really enjoyed staying there. The bangalows were built as traditional Cambodia style surrounded by has lots of fruit trees and pound. Very quiet and peaceful place. The restaurant has great breakfast and lots of food choices. We ate their authentic Cambodian foods and it's amazing!! We also got massages by the pool and it was the best! Overall, the service was excellent!! We would definitely go back there and would recommend Tan Sour resort to anyone!

We stayed here for 4 nights. We were a bit unsure about booking at first because there was no reviews and it seemed too good value for money when we were looking at the pictures, but we decided to take the risk! Best hotel we have stayed in whilst in Asia! The staff informed us the hotel had only been open a month and it was still very quiet with hardly any other guests. We had the pool to ourselves. The pool was super clean,it is Definately the cleanest pool I have ever been in. The staff were so friendly, when we left and returned to the hotel a few times a day they would always greet us and ask us about our day or what we were doing and if we needed any help. The location was really good, 5 minute tuk tuk to pub street/ the river and dining areas. Which cost us 1 dollar each way. The restaurant was lovely looking and we had breakfast there which was tasty, we didn't eat dinner or lunch there because the menu was too small (understandably as they have just opened). We preferred to go and find somewhere out. The other great thing about this hotel is the cleanliness. Everywhere we looked staff were cleaning constantly all day. We stayed in the cheapest room, it was really big with a large bed and a big bath tub too! Would recommend this hotel to any of my friends visiting Siem reap. If I was being picky, The only things I would suggest to this hotel that they are missing is a room service menu/ mini bar. A tour desk. And a bigger selection on their restaurant menu.

pro: - 2 big pools for 10 rooms. we thought we were the guests there that time and it was like our private pool. - room big for this price with big bathtub bigger than expected - toilet amenities provided is almost like 5 stars in my country - very sweet and cute and dedicated staffs - inc breakfast and airport pick up - spacious balcony to chill and chit chat at night with beers For the price paid we have nthg to complain and were very happy with everything. but would like to list down the con so that you will be prepared and not get disappointment from high expectation. con - not very near from town but is ok for us only 20 mins by walk and usd1 by tuktuk - breakfast menu they always only have pineapple juice thou the menu there were a list, we were very fine with this too - water when filled up the tub u can see it was a bit yellowish colour. water at the shower has some smell but not very bad it was ok for us - aircon not very cold sometimes not sure why - stayed 3 nights and everyday need to call them to refill out bottled drinks and toilet amenities but is ok :)

The staff is so nice and welcoming. The free pick up service from the bus station was easily arranged. There is also a free tuk tuk Service to the city center as this hotel is a little further from the town. There are two really clean and big pools. One with salt water. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. The whole hotel is absolutely beautiful designed. The breakfast is a la carte. The Choice is good but is isn’t very much. I was a little disappointed with that. But they also make breakfast bags for you when you are doing a tour or have to leave early. So that’s great. All in all it was wonderful, apart from the breakfast which could be improved.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. We were on our honey moon and the staff had dressed our room with petals in heart shapes when we arrived which was a lovely start. Room was lovely and big, nice decor and VERY clean! Pool area is amazing and very well looked after and seldom busy. We had a poolside room with a little terrace leading down to the pool which suited us. Breakfast was just what we wanted.. a mix of traditional and western dishes. Like others have said, the food is a little more expensive than in the city but was delicious and huge portions.. enough to share at lunch! The staff are amazing, knowing our names by the second day! Always attentive and we enjoyed our chats with them.. especially Aleh in the restaurant and Chanthou on reception who organised our trips! Perfect trip and perfect hotel. Thank you

I booked several rooms at Aster Villa for our group of 11 and I am so happy to have chosen this hotel. The hosts, Anas and Nye Nye are so accommodating with our requests. They booked our tours, the buffet dinner with Apsara dance and even our massages. They are able to get good rates so that was savings for us! They even lent us their weighing scale so we can check if we went over our allowed check in weight. The hotel rooms, bathrooms, restaurant and surroundings are always clean. There is a very inviting pool but we did not get the chance to try it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Siem Reap. Actually, we booked this hotel again for our 2nd group going to Siem Reap next week.

I totally recommend this hotel. Me and my husband spent 3 nights here during our stay in Siem Reap. We had 3 reasons to chose this hotel: good value for money, its good reviews, its location (a quiet area, not in the noisy city center). Yes, it is a little farther from the louder, more popular hot spots, but what we wanted was more serenity. They offer free tuk tuk to city center (5 minutes) or anywhere you want to go which is wonderful. They also offer free tuk tuk transfer from/to airport if you stay more than 3 nights there. The entire staff from the front office, manager, housekeeping, restaurant are very helpful and nice. Made us feel so welcomed. Room was clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was very good. I believe this is one of the best value hotels you can stay in Siem Reap. Thank you!

It's a nice and valued hotel given its facilities and large rooms. I like the forest-like villa around the swimming pool and the rooms. The tall tress and plants are like natural shields so that even rooms at the ground level enjoy good amount of privacy. The greens also add to this relaxing atmosphere. The only drawback is its location, which is about 5-10min Tuk Tuk ride from Central market or Pub street. There're only 1-2 convenient store and laundry service within 5-mins walk, and no restaurant around except for the one provided by the hotel or nearby hotel.

I was initially worried about the location of the hotel, but it turned out to be extraordinary. We had a free pick-up from the airport late at night and the staff were extremely friendly. We had booked a sunrise Angkor Wat tour with another company and they prepared us a simple boxed breakfast to take with us. The rooms are large, comfortable and luxurious. The bathroom is large with a bathtub and shower. The location is far from the city so it was quiet and relaxing to lay by the poolside on comfortable lounge chairs. Getting to the city for shopping, restaurants and bars are easy with the free transportation. They supply you with a cell phone to call for a pick-up anywhere in town. My only negative comment would be the speed of food service. They are only 5 months from opening so this may be just some kinks that are easily fixed. Overall, the service, hotel, rooms, transportation and entire experience was the best part of our 2 week trip.

Really love this hotel!! The location is a bit far from town. However the free tuk tuk transfer service is efficient enough to cover the weakness. Patience is needed to wait for hot water. Staff said its because of the solar energy they used to heat water. Well, it sounds eco-friendly. The restaurant provides the most delicious food in siem reap. I have tried cheap. I have tried expensive. But both my friend and I agree the best restaurant is inside this hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Always carry smile. The quiet environment sure scores a point. At night, sky is full of stars. Just look up and it will never disappointed you.

Location: near Art night market. Close to restaurants. About 5 drive away from Pub Street. It's quiet, a bit dark at night but fairly safe. Staff are friendly and attentive without being pushy/annoying. Room were lovely and fairly good sized. Restaurant served really tasty food, we ate there for dinner once as we were too tired u venture out and it was surprisingly good. Tho, we didn't eat on the dining area, there were plenty of mosquitoes there, they served the food in our room instead. Breakfast was great value and fairly good variety if u think about the hotel daily rate. Pool was also nice, our kids had a fun time swimming. Tho there was a guest who sat on one of the lounges and proceeded to chain smoke. We ended up taking the kids off the pool because of that. Hotel has no smoking policy indoors, not sure about outdoors. Wished staff requested him to move elsewhere. Parking is also outside the hotel, we were concerned at first but they had a guard on duty and it was ok in the end. Would highly recommend this little hotel if you're stopping by Siem Reap and looking for a quiet hotel with a more personal touch.

On a girl's trip to Cambodia and we had an AMAZING stay! The hotel is very serene and secluded. I appreciate that it is locally owned and operated. The small size of the hotel gave us a nice getaway! The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating! The food was absolutely top notch and the rooms were very clean and comfortable! You are provided with transportation shuttle to and from the airport, along with to pub street. You are also given a cell phone to take with you to pub street in order to call for transportation back to the hotel! This was something that I would never have thought of and was a nice touch! We will be staying here again on our next trip to Cambodia!

I stayed at Seda Villa for 3 nights in Siem Reap. Arriving in Seda Villa, I was welcomed with a cooling welcome drink and my check in was done promptly. I was then showed to my room (Blue Room). It was a spacious ensuite room with good air-conditioning. The room was furnished comfortably. The place is built like a guest house and you immediately feel at home. The owner of Seda Villa Sam is knowledgeable about Cambodia and have a lot to share due to his rich experience in Cambodian Tourism. If you have no proper itinerary, please consult him as he can tell you what you can and should do around Siem Reap and even Cambodia in generally. He will also gladly assist with finding reliable and friendly TukTuk drivers, bus services etc so you always feel at ease when you're travelling. The staff at Seda Villa are friendly and kind and always acknowledges you with a warm smile like they are welcoming you home. One of the best parts about the hotel is the pool. The pool is a nice place to relax when you are 'templed out' or just want to relax and do nothing. The pool is kept clean and there's a jacuzzi function to ease your weariness from all the walking and backpacking. Location wise, Seda Villa is a close walking distance from the night market, old market and pub street(within 5 minutes). Generally it is a safe residential area but still be sure to watch your belongings especially when you walk home from partying in the middle of the night. Stay at Seda Villa if you want to experience the local culture, and watch the way the local Cambodians live. It definitely is not a 5-star luxury resort, so don't go expecting 24hours concierge service and silver service. It is more like a local guest house, be humble and courteous when dealing with the staff as they are trying their best to make your stay experience wonderful. I am glad to have found this little Gem in Siem Reap and I will share this with everyone I know.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel for a number of reasons. My room was spacious and beautifully designed, the food was excellent but most of all the staff service was outstanding, with a genuine interest In the customers welfare. They really took care of all my needs from organising taxis and tuk tuks, advice on the best temples to see and when, to airport pickup and drop off. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would definitely stay here again.
